I love this. Sister Dreamer has that airy Byredo thing, but here it feels warmer and more soulful. The juniper berries give it this clean, almost cool sparkle at the top, then the frankincense comes in and makes it feel soft, hazy, and kinda meditative without going full churchy. Pink pepper keeps it from getting too sleepy. It smells really polished and unusual, but still easy to wear, which is not always the case with incense perfumes. On me it lasts around 6-7 hours with a soft cloud. Not beast mode, but enough. Def one of those scents that makes you keep smelling your wrist all day.
Sister Dreamer is so my thing. It smells like fresh air moving through incense smoke, with that peppery opening making everything feel alive. The frankincense is definitely there, but it’s smooth and almost weightless, not dark or resin-heavy. I get why some people might call it subtle, but for me that’s the whole charm. It sits in that perfect space between fresh and warm. Really polished, really easy. I’ve worn it during the day and out at night and it works both ways. Not beast mode, but I still got around 7 hours and could smell it on my scarf the next day. I’d recommend this so fast.
I really like this one. It opens with that sparkly pink pepper thing and then the frankincense slides in and makes it feel a little dreamy, a little cold, but still soft. The juniper berries give it a clean gin-like twist that keeps it from getting too churchy. It’s not loud or super sexy, more like quietly cool and put together. On me it lasts around 6 hours with pretty soft projection after the first hour. My only issue is that it gets a bit abstract in the middle, like I wish there was one more note to grab onto. Still, def one of Byredo’s nicer airy incense scents.
This is so good tbh. It’s not loud or attention-seeking, but it has a really addicting vibe. I get pink pepper first, then this smooth incense and a crisp juniper touch that keeps everything fresh. Kinda reminds me of the calm, minimalist side of Byredo, but with more personality. It feels intimate and a little mysterious, like a clean sweater with expensive skincare and a tiny bit of smoke. I’ve worn it during the day and at night and it just works. Projection stays pretty close after the first hour, but I don’t mind because the scent itself is gorgeous. Easy 5 stars for me.
This is exceptional if you like fragrances that whisper instead of yell. The juniper gives me this cool aromatic edge, and the pink pepper adds just enough sparkle without turning sharp. Then the frankincense comes in and makes everything feel dreamy and slightly meditative. I know that sounds dramatic lol, but that’s genuinely the vibe. It’s not a sugary compliment-bomb like BR540, but I actually prefer this because it feels more natural and grown. Super chic, very Byredo, and weirdly comforting. Projection is moderate at first then closer to skin, but it lasts a solid 6+ hours on me. I’d wear this year-round, no question.
Okay this is one of those fragrances that feels simple at first, then suddenly you're obsessed. The juniper berries are gorgeous here, very crisp and slightly gin-like, and the frankincense makes it feel soft, airy, and expensive. There’s also a little pink pepper bite in the opening that keeps it from getting too quiet. I don’t think it smells like Delina or BR540 at all, which is honestly a relief. It has that cool Scandinavian clean vibe but with more soul. On me it projects gently for a couple hours and hangs around most of the day on clothes. Super wearable, super classy, and just really beautiful.
Honestly, this might be my favorite Byredo in a while. A lot of their stuff smells pretty and abstract, but Sister Dreamer actually hits me emotionally. The frankincense is beautiful here—smooth, airy, almost creamy—and the juniper berries add this chilly little bite that makes it feel modern instead of dusty. If you like scents that sit between fresh and warm, this is such a sweet spot. It doesn’t smell like Delina or BR540 at all, thank god, and that’s part of why I’m into it. Super wearable, super chic, and just different enough to stand out. I got a solid 7 hours too, which surprised me.
I love this way more than I expected. Sister Dreamer has this airy incense thing from the frankincense, but it never goes churchy or heavy on me. The pink pepper gives it a little sparkle up top, and the juniper berries keep it crisp and almost icy. It feels really clean but still emotional, if that makes sense. Kinda reminds me of a softer, more transparent Byredo take on a woody-spicy niche scent, without trying too hard to be weird. Performance is actually solid too, around 6-7 hours on my skin with a nice soft cloud. Super easy to wear and still feels special. Def one of those scents I keep sniffing my wrist for.
This is stunning tbh. It opens with a bright snap of juniper and pink pepper, then settles into this smooth frankincense haze that feels calm and a little mysterious. Not sweet, not loud, not trying to smell like everyone else. I usually get tired of minimalist perfumes fast, but this one really sticks with me because it has personality. It’s fresh in a cool, silvery way, not citrusy-clean. I could wear this to work, dinner, literally anywhere. Lasted about 6 hours for me and stayed pretty close after the first hour, which I actually like. If you want something chic and different without screaming for attention, this is so good.
This is super wearable if you like fresh spicy scents that don’t scream for attention. I get juniper first, then pink pepper, and later just a smooth incense haze. Kinda reminds me of the clean, understated side of Byredo in general, not as attention-grabbing as something like BR540 at all, which I actually appreciate. It feels chic and easy, like a white shirt in perfume form. I love this for daytime or office wear because it stays close and never turns heavy. Minor flaw: performance is just decent, maybe 5-6 hours, and I do wish the opening lasted longer because that part is so nice.
Tbh I’m into this, even if it’s not a total love. The frankincense is the star on my skin, but it’s done in a soft, airy way instead of dark and resinous. Pink pepper gives it a bright little kick and the juniper keeps it feeling crisp. There’s something very serene about it, almost meditative, but also a bit elusive. That’s my only real complaint: after the pretty opening, it becomes more of a mood than a distinct perfume. Still smells really good though, and I’ve gotten a couple compliments when people were close. Not beast mode whatsoever, but that quiet vibe is kinda the point.
I really like this one. It smells exactly like chestnuts roasting over a fire with a soft vanilla sweetness in the background, and that burnt wood vibe is what makes it addictive. On me it starts pretty smoky, almost like my sweater sat too close to a campfire, then it gets creamier and sweeter after like 20 minutes. Super cozy and honestly perfect for cold weather. Minor flaw: I can see why some people think it’s a bit too literal or a little much indoors. Not something I’d wear in summer at all. But for fall nights? Def one of the best cozy scents out there. Lasts around 7-8 hours on me too.
I don’t dislike this at all, it’s just very 3/5 to me. The opening has a nice crisp juniper berry thing with a little pink pepper sparkle, and the frankincense keeps it from feeling too basic. For a second I thought it was going somewhere really cool, then it kinda levels out into a soft, clean woody-ish blur. Not bad, just not wow. It wears smoothly and never gets harsh, so I can see this working for everyday or the office. But if you want something with real depth or drama, this probably won’t do it. Lasts okay on skin, nothing crazy.
I was expecting this to be colder and more distant, but it’s actually really lovely. The juniper berries make it feel fresh and slightly aromatic, while the frankincense adds this smooth, almost silvery depth. Pink pepper is there too, just enough to keep it from feeling flat. I love this because it’s subtle without being boring, which is harder to pull off than people think. It doesn’t have the lush pull of Delina or the sugar-cloud effect of trendy stuff, but that’s not what it’s doing. It feels calm, modern, and expensive. Only reason it’s not 5 stars for me is the projection—pretty soft after the opening.
This is pleasant, just not super memorable. I get the pink pepper first, then a soft frankincense haze that makes it feel a little dreamy and airy. The juniper gives it a cool, slightly gin-like freshness which I actually like. But tbh the whole thing stays very polite and never really turns into anything exciting. It’s kinda niche-clean in that Byredo way, but not as addictive as Bal d’Afrique or even Gypsy Water on me. Performance is okay, around 5-6 hours, and projection sits pretty close after the first hour. Decent if you want something calm and easy to wear, but for the price I expected more personality.
I like By the Fireplace, but tbh I don’t love it as much as the hype would suggest. The opening is super nice though — I get roasted chestnut, smoke, and a sweet vanilla in the background. It really does give that cozy winter candle vibe. My issue is that after a while it feels a bit one-note on me, like sweet smoke and not much else. Nice, just not super exciting. Performance is decent, around 6-7 hours, with solid projection for the first couple hours. Def a cold weather scent, but for me it’s more comforting than addictive.
This is pleasant, but I’m sitting at a 3/5 because it smells better in theory than on my skin. The smoky wood note is done well, and I do get that toasted marshmallow/chestnut thing people talk about, which is fun. But the sweetness gets a little heavy and almost synthetic after an hour. Kinda reminds me of sitting near a bonfire when your sweater smells good at first, then starts feeling too stuck in the fabric. Not bad at all, just not something I crave. Lasts pretty well and works best in fall or winter. I’d wear it casually, not really for anything special.
I really wanted to like Erba Pura because people hype it like crazy, but tbh this was a letdown. On me it opens with this super bright citrus-fruit thing, then turns into a thick musky vanilla cloud that feels really synthetic. Not juicy or natural, just loud. It kinda gives me that same annoying sweetness I get from some BR540-style scents, except fruitier and somehow more screechy. The performance is definitely there, I can't even complain about that because it lasts forever and projects hard, but that's also part of the problem. One spray felt like too much. For the price, I expected something smoother and more refined.
I really wanted to love this because the whole cozy fireplace idea sounds amazing, but on my skin it goes way too hard on the burnt wood/smoke vibe. I do get a little chestnut and vanilla in the background, but they never really smooth it out. It ends up smelling like my sweater after sitting next to a bonfire, not like an actual comforting perfume. Kinda harsh and weirdly synthetic to my nose too. Performance is decent, like 6-7 hours, but that almost makes it worse since I was tired of it after the first hour. Cool concept, not my thing at all.
Tbh this just didn’t come together for me. The opening has that pink pepper sparkle and a little juniper bite, which made me think it was going somewhere cool and airy, but then it turns oddly flat and kind of murky. The frankincense is there, but not in a smooth mystical way - more like a faint dusty haze that never fully develops. On my skin it stayed pretty close and felt vague the whole time, like an unfinished idea. For Byredo money, I expected way more personality. Not offensive, just kinda forgettable and a little disappointing.
