Fantomas (Nasomatto) is a deliberately synthetic, futuristic extrait that opens with a striking, sweet-lactonic melon/cantaloupe accord layered over cold, metallic/ozonic facets and an unmistakable plasticky/rubbery note (burnt rubber, latex, melting plastic). As it evolves the sweet fruitality can caramelize or turn more powdery while smoky, resinous and slightly metallic/leathery facets (gunpowder/ash/resin) appear on the drydown. The overall effect is alien, clinical and artful—simultaneously candy-like and industrial. Performance is typically very strong: high projection and bold sillage early, with long longevity (many reports of 8–12+ hours and some anecdotal reports of persistent traces on clothing for days).
