I love this stuff. Love in Black feels moody and elegant without going full gothic, if that makes sense. The violet is what grabs me first, then I get this soft powdery iris thing with a little clove in the background that keeps it interesting. It smells expensive in that effortless Creed way. Kinda reminds me of the vibe of some classic designer florals, but smoother and way more refined. On me it lasts around 7-8 hours with pretty solid projection for the first couple hours. Super wearable if you want something feminine but not sugary. Def one of those perfumes that makes me stand up straighter when I wear it.
This is gorgeous. The violet is the star for me, but it’s not that candy purple vibe. It’s deeper, greener, almost inky, and the blackcurrant gives it this tart little twist that keeps it interesting. Then the musk comes in and makes everything feel really soft and intimate. I keep reaching for it when I want to smell dressed up without wearing something loud. It doesn’t scream for attention, but people notice it when they’re close. Very chic, very feminine, a little mysterious. Tbh I think this is one of those perfumes that makes you feel cooler than you are.
Okay, this one is just beautiful. I get violet and cedar the most, with a slight powdery iris thing that makes it feel refined instead of sweet. It kinda reminds me of the vibe of Chanel Misia mixed with Creed cleanliness, but darker and more modern. What I love is how balanced it is: floral, woody, and a little shadowy. Nothing screechy, nothing cheap-smelling. For a perfume called Love in Black, it actually nails that name. Romantic but not girly. Elegant but still interesting. Performance is really solid too, like 6-7 hours easy on my skin. I’d 100% recommend it if you want a classy signature that stands out.
Tbh this one surprised me. I expected something harsher from the name, but it’s actually really polished and beautiful. The violet and iris give it this cool, almost lipstick-like powderiness, and then the clove adds a subtle spice that keeps it from feeling too proper. I wear this when I want to smell put together with zero effort. It’s not a compliment bomb like BR540, but the people who notice it always say I smell amazing. That kind of says a lot. Lasts most of the workday on me and sits a little closer after the first hour. I really love how grown-up and graceful it feels.
This is really pretty. I get tea first, then a soft orange blossom vibe that makes it feel airy and expensive without being too floral. Kinda reminds me of those luxury hotel spa scents, but smoother and less sharp. It’s elegant in a very quiet way, not sexy or dramatic, just clean and refined. I love wearing this when I don’t want to think too hard about my perfume. The downside? It doesn’t project much and it fades faster than I want, especially for the price. So yeah, not perfect, but the scent itself is lovely enough that I keep reaching for it anyway.
This is one of those perfumes that makes me wonder why more people don’t talk about it. It’s beautiful. I get violet right away, then a clean musk and a touch of spice from clove that gives it a darker edge. The balance is so good. Nothing feels screechy or overly sweet. It kinda reminds me of older luxury perfumes, but with a smoother, more modern finish. I reach for this when I want to feel elegant and a little mysterious. It lasts around 7 hours on me, which is solid, and the scent cloud is noticeable without being too much. For me this is a 5/5 easy.
This is such a pretty dark floral. Not heavy, not syrupy, just smooth and slightly mysterious. The violet leaf and iris stand out most on me, with cedar in the base keeping it clean and dry. I love that it smells feminine without going sugary. Tbh I’m tired of everything trying to be BR540 or some loud fruity rose bomb, and this goes in a cooler, more refined direction. It works great in the office too because the projection stays controlled, but people close to you will notice it. Minor flaw: it can come off a little serious, so if you want playful or sexy right away, this may not be it. Still really good.
Some florals go straight into grandma territory on me, but this absolutely does not. Love in Black has that powdery violet thing, but it’s paired with cedar and musk so it feels sleek, not dusty. There’s a coolness to it that I’m obsessed with. It smells like a tailored coat and expensive gloves. Maybe that sounds dramatic, but that’s the vibe. I also love that it doesn’t try too hard to be sexy in the usual syrupy way. It’s just naturally alluring. Projection is moderate, longevity is very good, and I find it really easy to wear in fall or spring. Def recommend if you want something feminine and chic but a little different.
This is easily one of my favorite Creeds. It’s not loud in a flashy way, but wow it has presence. I get a cool violet leaf vibe, a slightly dry cedar backbone, and just enough musk to make it feel smooth and skin-like later on. It honestly smells like confidence. Not youthful or candy-sweet at all, which I really appreciate. If Delina is all pink satin and sparkle, this is the black dress version. Performance is really good on me, around 6 hours easy, and it leaves a gorgeous trail without choking anyone out. Super classy, super pretty, and actually feels unique in a sea of fruity florals.
I’m into this, but I get why some people don’t click with it. The opening has a sharp green bite from the violet leaf and blackcurrant that almost feels stern at first. Give it 15 minutes though, because once the iris softens it, it turns really beautiful. Cool, classy, slightly melancholy. I love wearing it on cloudy days or dressed up at night. It’s not super sexy in a loud way, more like understated and expensive. Lasts about 6 hours on me, with decent projection early on then closer to skin. My one gripe is the price feels a bit much for the performance, but scent-wise it’s really lovely and pretty unique.
I love this way more than I expected. Love in Black has that moody violet thing right away, then the iris and cedar make it feel smooth, cool, and super polished. It’s dark without being heavy, which is honestly hard to pull off. Kinda gives me old-money elegance, but still wearable now and not dusty at all. If you like florals but want something less sugary than Delina, this is such a good pick. On me it lasts around 7-8 hours with pretty noticeable projection for the first couple. Just feels expensive and put together. Def one of Creed’s prettiest scents.
I really like this, even though it’s not the most instantly lovable Creed. It’s cool-toned and a little reserved. I get violet, blackcurrant, and some rose in the heart, and together they give it this dry, almost inky floral vibe. Kinda reminds me of the opposite of Delina. Where Delina is bright and flirty, this is more quiet and put-together. Super classy. My only complaint is performance could be better for the price since it sits pretty close after an hour or two. Still, I keep reaching for it because it feels different from the usual sweet floral stuff. Def more of a taste thing than a crowd-pleaser.
This is nice, just not exciting. I get a soft white tea vibe with a little bergamot and clean musk, and it feels super polished in that classic Bvlgari way. Very easy to wear, very inoffensive, very "fresh hotel lobby" to me. The problem is... it never really goes anywhere. It stays light, a bit airy, and pretty close to the skin after the first hour. On me it lasts maybe 4-5 hours, which is fine but not great for the price. I don’t dislike it at all, but for a 3/5 this fits perfectly: decent, calming, elegant, and also kinda forgettable.
I really like this one. It smells like soft white tea with a clean musk underneath, and that little touch of bergamot keeps it from feeling flat. Super polished, super easy to wear, and honestly one of those fragrances that makes you feel put together without trying too hard. It’s not loud at all, more of a close-to-skin kind of scent, which I actually love for work or warmer days. My only issue is the performance could be better on skin, I get around 5-6 hours before it’s basically a whisper. Still, it smells classy and calming the whole way through. If you like fresh scents that don’t scream, this is def worth it.
This one surprised me. Love in Black feels dark and polished without going full goth, if that makes sense. I get a cool violet thing first, then iris and cedar start showing up and make it feel really smooth and expensive. It’s kinda powdery, but not old-lady powdery to me. More like chic black dress energy. The only reason it’s not a perfect 5 is the opening can feel a little sharp for the first 10 minutes. After that, super pretty. Lasts around 6-7 hours on me with soft projection, so it’s not beast mode, but I honestly like that. Very elegant and easy to wear when you want something a little mysterious.
I wanted to love this more than I actually do. The opening has that bitter orange sparkle, then it settles into a soft tea and orange blossom thing that smells clean and slightly soapy. Not bad, just a little too polite for me. If you like loud perfumes, this will probably feel super tame. It reminds me of those understated designer scents you wear when you don’t want to think too hard. I can see the appeal for work or hot weather, but tbh it doesn’t stand out and the performance is kinda meh, around 5-6 hours with weak projection. Nice enough, just nothing special.
I really wanted to like this because the idea sounds so good, but on my skin Love in Black just feels cold and weirdly dusty. I get a sharp violet thing at first, then some powdery iris, and underneath there’s this clove-ish spice that makes it feel dated instead of elegant. Not sexy, not cozy, just kind of stern. For a Creed, this also feels super overpriced to me. It’s not terrible, but definitely below expectations. Performance is okay, maybe 5-6 hours, but it sits pretty close to the skin after the first hour. Honestly it reminds me of those older floral perfumes that smell expensive but not very inviting.
I wanted to love this because the whole white tea idea sounds so clean and calming, but tbh it just feels underwhelming. I get a soft bergamot opening and a little musk, maybe some orange blossom in the background, but everything is so sheer it barely feels like a full perfume. It’s not bad, just kinda there. On me it turns into a generic fresh hotel-lobby scent and sits super close to the skin within like an hour. For the price, I expected something smoother or at least more memorable. This is elegant in theory, but in reality it’s weak and a little boring.
This is nice, just not wow to me. I get a cool violet thing right away with a slightly powdery iris vibe, then it settles into something softer with a hint of cedar. It smells classy and kind of moody, like a dressed-up floral for colder weather, but I keep waiting for a moment that never really comes. Not bad at all, just a little flat for a Creed, especially at that price. Performance is okay on me, around 5-6 hours, and projection stays pretty close after the first hour. I’d wear it to the office or a dinner, but I wouldn’t call it love.
I was hoping for something dramatic from the name, but Love in Black is way more quiet than I expected. On my skin it’s mostly violet and blackcurrant, with a dry, slightly smoky feel in the background. It’s refined and smooth, and I can see why some people find it chic, but tbh it never gets exciting. Kinda reminds me of those polished floral perfumes that smell expensive without being super memorable. The good part is it doesn’t go screechy or overly sweet, which I appreciate. The downside is the projection is pretty soft and it feels a bit too serious for everyday wear. Decent, just nothing special.
