Smooth spice done right

This is gorgeous. I get a bright little flash of bergamot at first, then it settles into this warm, resinous cloud with benzoin and sandalwood that feels super polished. The spice is there, but it’s not loud or harsh at all, just blended in a really classy Guerlain way. Kinda reminds me of what I wish more “spicy” perfumes smelled like: rich, smooth, and actually wearable. I love how comforting it is without turning boring. On me it lasts easily 7-8 hours and keeps this elegant aura the whole time. Def one of those scents that makes you stand a little straighter when you wear it.

Quiet luxury vibes

This smells like someone with amazing taste who never has to prove it. The opening is fresh and slightly green from the artemisia, then it settles into this soft spicy-amber thing that feels incredibly smooth. I get a lot of benzoin and sandalwood in the drydown, and that part is honestly addictive. It’s warm, a little shadowy, and super comforting without being sleepy. Tbh this is what I wanted from a lot of niche spicy perfumes that ended up too sharp or too weird. Épices Volées just gets the balance right. Projection is moderate, not beast mode, but it lasts well and feels very high quality the whole way through.

Classy with a weird twist

This one took me a few wears, tbh. At first the artemisia in the top felt a little sharp and almost herbal-clean to me, and I wasn’t sure where it was going. But once the patchouli and benzoin settle in, wow. It turns into this warm, slightly mysterious skin scent that feels super put together. Not sweet like BR540, not rosy like Delina, just its own thing. I really love that it smells refined without trying too hard. My only issue is that the opening and drydown almost feel like two different perfumes. Still very good though, and I keep reaching for it when I want something understated but special.

Spicy but super refined

I love this because it doesn’t scream for attention, but it still feels incredibly special. The coriander gives it this cool aromatic kick in the opening, then the patchouli and sandalwood come through and make it creamy, dry, and really classy. Not a sweet bomb, not a loud amber monster, just beautifully controlled. If you like the idea of spice but hate when perfumes get harsh, this is so worth trying. It leans more mature than trendy stuff like BR540, but in the best way. Very chic, very grown. Lasts around 6-7 hours on me and stays elegant the whole time. Easy 5 stars.

Quiet luxury vibes

Épices Volées isn’t trying to be beast mode and that’s part of why I love it. The lemon and coriander opening gives it a clean sparkle, then the labdanum comes in and makes everything feel soft, ambery, and expensive. It smells like someone with very good taste, not someone chasing compliments, even though I still got a few. Tbh this is one of the few spicy scents I’d happily wear dressed up or with a sweater and jeans. It’s refined but still cozy. Projection is more moderate than huge, but the scent itself is so beautiful I really don’t care.

Creamy oud perfection

This is gorgeous. I was expecting something louder and more challenging because of the oud, but on my skin it turns into this super smooth almond-vanilla cloud with a soft woody backbone. The incense keeps it from going too dessert-like, which I love. It feels rich and dressed up without being stuffy, kinda like if Guerlain made an oud for people who usually avoid oud. Performance is excellent too — easy 8+ hours and I still catch it on clothes the next day. Honestly one of the most wearable luxury ouds I’ve tried. Sexy, cozy, polished. Def worth sampling if you like warm scents with a little mystery.

Spicy resin done right

This is really good. The opening gives me a quick flash of bergamot and lemon, but it turns warm pretty fast and that labdanum/benzoin combo is the star for me. It feels spicy without going full spice bomb, more smooth and glowing than loud. I love how the patchouli keeps it grounded so it doesn’t turn syrupy. Only reason it’s not a perfect 5 is the opening disappears a little too fast on my skin. After that it sits closer, but in a classy way. Lasts around 6-7 hours on me and feels very Guerlain. Super wearable if you like warm ambers that still have some sparkle.

Nice peach, not much magic

I wanted to love this more than I actually do. The opening is really pretty though — I get a juicy peach with a little blackcurrant tang, and for a second it feels classy and modern. Then the leather/amber side shows up and it kinda flattens everything out on my skin. Not bad, just less exciting than I expected from Guerlain. It smells polished and easy to wear, but also a bit safe? Like a luxe peach skin scent without a real wow moment. Performance is decent, around 5-6 hours, but projection stays pretty close. Nice enough, just not something I’d reach for over other fruity-amber perfumes.

Classy and a little mysterious

This smells so good it’s almost unfair. The bergamot opening is quick on me, but it gives just enough lift before the sandalwood and labdanum take over. After that it turns into this creamy, spicy, slightly smoky skin scent that feels incredibly chic. I love that it doesn’t scream. It just sits close enough to pull people in, which honestly makes it way sexier than a loud fragrance. Guerlain really nailed the balance here. Nothing feels rough or overly sweet. If you want a warm scent that feels grown and expensive without being stuffy, this is def worth trying.

Warm, spicy, addictive

I love this way more than I expected. The cumin scared me on paper, not gonna lie, but it never goes sweaty on me. It just adds this warm skin-like edge under the sandalwood and musk that makes the whole thing feel insanely sensual. Not a barnyard oud at all — more soft, creamy, expensive vibes. It kinda reminds me of the mood of some Middle Eastern perfumes, but cleaner and more refined, very Guerlain. Projection is noticeable without being beast mode, which actually makes it easier to wear. This is one of those fragrances that makes you keep sniffing your wrist all day.

Luxury comfort scent

Tbh this is one of the few oud fragrances I’d recommend blindly to someone who wants something elegant and comforting instead of dark and harsh. The vanilla is smooth, the incense gives it this airy smoky touch, and the oud stays polished in the background. No sharp medicinal phase, no weird funk, just a really beautiful blend. It feels a bit like the cozy side of a high-end boutique scent rather than a statement monster, but that’s why I love it. Lasts around 7-9 hours on me with a soft trail. Super classy, super easy to wear, and still distinctive enough that it doesn’t smell like everyone else.

My favorite kind of warm

I’m obsessed with this one. The patchouli here is smooth and dry, not dirty, and the benzoin gives it this slightly sweet resinous glow that makes the whole thing addictive. There’s also this herbal thing from the artemisia that keeps it from getting too heavy. If you like the idea of spice but hate when perfumes go sharp or dusty, try this. It feels intimate and luxurious at the same time. Not really like Delina or BR540 at all, thank god, this has way more character to me. Lasts all day on my scarf and a solid 6+ hours on skin.

Spicy but super wearable

Some spice-forward perfumes can feel like a candle shop on me, but this one is beautiful. The coriander gives it a cool little bite in the opening, then the benzoin smooths everything out and the patchouli adds depth without stealing the show. I love this because it feels distinctive but still easy to wear. It’s not trying to shock anybody, just smell amazing, and it absolutely does. Very polished, very Guerlain, very “why is this not talked about more?” energy. Performance is really solid too, around 7 hours with a nice soft trail. For me this is an easy 5/5 and highly recommended.

Warm spice done right

This is gorgeous. On me it opens with a bright little flash of bergamot and lemon, but that’s not really the point — the magic is how fast it melts into this warm, resinous cloud with labdanum and benzoin. It feels rich and spicy without going heavy or dusty, which is hard to pull off. I love how smooth it is. Kinda has that polished Guerlain thing where everything feels blended to perfection. It smells expensive, cozy, and a little mysterious at the same time. Performance is excellent too, easy 7-8 hours on my skin with a soft but noticeable trail. Def one of those scents that makes me keep sniffing my wrist.

Elegant but not perfect

Really nice fragrance. I get bergamot up top, then this soft resinous warmth from labdanum that makes it feel cozy and expensive at the same time. It has that classic Guerlain smoothness, and I love that it never gets overly sweet or dusty. This is the kind of scent that makes you lean in, not something that fills a room. Def more elegant than sexy to me. The only small downside is the price vs performance — on my skin it’s around 5-6 hours, which is good but not amazing for this style. Still, the scent itself is so well blended that I can forgive it a bit.

Soft steal, not loud

I was expecting something darker and more dramatic from the name, but Épices Volées is actually pretty smooth and easy. The coriander gives it this dry spicy edge, then sandalwood softens everything out. Kinda reminds me of the polished side of Shalimar’s family, but way less heavy and easier to wear. I love this for evenings or cooler days when I want something warm but not too sweet. Minor flaw: projection is not amazing. It’s more of a close-to-skin scent after the first hour, so don’t expect beast mode. Still, the scent itself is gorgeous and feels expensive in that effortless Guerlain way.

Smooth but forgettable

Tbh this is perfectly fine, just nothing special. On me the peach is soft and a little fuzzy rather than bright, and the saffron gives it that slightly trendy warm vibe you smell in a lot of newer releases. The sandalwood in the drydown is nice though — creamy, smooth, easy. I don’t hate it at all, but I also wouldn’t call it memorable or unique. Kinda feels like Guerlain playing it safe. If you want something fruity with a subtle suede/leather touch for daytime, this works. If you want a big statement perfume, skip it. Lasted about 6 hours on me with mild projection.

Nice cherry, kinda forgettable

I wanted a lot more from this, especially at Guerlain prices. The opening is actually really nice though — I get a dark cherry with a little cinnamon spice, and for a second it feels like it might go somewhere super rich and sexy. Then the oud/leather combo comes in and it just... flattens out on my skin. Not bad, just kinda generic woody-dark territory. It smells polished and wearable, but I don’t find it very exciting or unique. Performance is decent, around 6-7 hours, with moderate projection for the first couple. Solid scent, just not one I’d reach for over other cherry fragrances.

Wanted more cherry, got rough oud

Tbh this was a letdown for me. I went in hoping for a rich dark cherry with some spice, but the cherry feels thin and disappears way too fast. After that it’s mostly a dry oud/leather thing that comes off kinda harsh and a little medicinal on my skin. The cinnamon in the opening is nice for like five minutes, then it turns flat. For a Guerlain exclusive, this smells way less polished than I expected. Not sexy, not cozy, just awkward. It does last a while, so I’ll give it that, but the vibe is more expensive experiment than something I’d actually want to wear.

Pretty idea, weird execution

I really wanted to love this because peach + leather sounded so good on paper, but this just goes weird on me. The opening has a juicy peach thing for like five minutes, then the saffron comes in and turns it dry and kinda medicinal. After that it’s mostly a fuzzy amber-leather cloud that feels more harsh than sexy. Not getting much Guerlain magic here tbh. It also sits pretty close to the skin, which would be fine if the scent itself was better, but for this price? Nah. Kinda reminds me of those fruity-leather niche scents that try to be edgy and just end up smelling awkward.
