I love this so much. It really smells like roasted chestnut, vanilla, and smoky woods without turning into straight-up barbecue candle territory. The opening is pretty smoky, but give it a few minutes and it gets super cozy and almost edible. On me it feels like sitting by a fire in a soft sweater with something sweet in the air. Kinda reminds me of a more wearable, less sugary holiday candle, but way nicer. Performance is great too, easily 7-8 hours and I still catch little wafts later. Def not for hot weather, but in fall and winter this is basically perfect.
Sister Dreamer is so my thing. It smells like fresh air moving through incense smoke, with that peppery opening making everything feel alive. The frankincense is definitely there, but it’s smooth and almost weightless, not dark or resin-heavy. I get why some people might call it subtle, but for me that’s the whole charm. It sits in that perfect space between fresh and warm. Really polished, really easy. I’ve worn it during the day and out at night and it works both ways. Not beast mode, but I still got around 7 hours and could smell it on my scarf the next day. I’d recommend this so fast.
This is exceptional if you like fragrances that whisper instead of yell. The juniper gives me this cool aromatic edge, and the pink pepper adds just enough sparkle without turning sharp. Then the frankincense comes in and makes everything feel dreamy and slightly meditative. I know that sounds dramatic lol, but that’s genuinely the vibe. It’s not a sugary compliment-bomb like BR540, but I actually prefer this because it feels more natural and grown. Super chic, very Byredo, and weirdly comforting. Projection is moderate at first then closer to skin, but it lasts a solid 6+ hours on me. I’d wear this year-round, no question.
Honestly, this might be my favorite Byredo in a while. A lot of their stuff smells pretty and abstract, but Sister Dreamer actually hits me emotionally. The frankincense is beautiful here—smooth, airy, almost creamy—and the juniper berries add this chilly little bite that makes it feel modern instead of dusty. If you like scents that sit between fresh and warm, this is such a sweet spot. It doesn’t smell like Delina or BR540 at all, thank god, and that’s part of why I’m into it. Super wearable, super chic, and just different enough to stand out. I got a solid 7 hours too, which surprised me.
This is such a good scent if you love smoky gourmands. I get clove, vanilla, and a dry woodsmoke note, and the combo is really comforting without going full candle-shop on me. Kinda reminds me of sitting by a fireplace in a nice cabin, which I know is the whole point, but yeah, they nailed it. I love this most in the evening or on lazy winter weekends. Only reason it’s not a perfect 5 for me is that the opening can be a little harsh and ashy for a few minutes. After that though, it settles beautifully. Projection is solid for the first couple hours, then it sits closer.
Tbh this is not a safe blind buy, but I still really enjoy it. On me it opens with juicy orange and lemon, then that white musk comes in and gives it this clean but very synthetic shine. I actually love that part, even if it smells a little artificial. It reminds me of Xerjoff-style fruity luxury scents where everything is turned up to 100. The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars for me is the sweetness. After a few hours it can feel a little heavy and almost chewy. Still, I keep reaching for it when I want something playful, flashy, and easy to notice. Lasts forever too.
Erba Pura is super loud, super fruity, and honestly really addictive. I get a big blast of citrus at first, then it turns into this creamy musky fruit salad thing that just sticks to everything. It’s kinda in the same family as those sugary compliment monsters, but this feels smoother than some of the BR540-type clones floating around. What I love is how happy and bright it smells without going full shampoo on me. Minor flaw: it can be a bit much in heat, and one extra spray will absolutely bully a room. Performance is crazy though, easy all day and then some. Not subtle at all, but if you want attention, this def works.
I really like this one. It smells exactly like chestnuts roasting over a fire with a soft vanilla sweetness in the background, and that burnt wood vibe is what makes it addictive. On me it starts pretty smoky, almost like my sweater sat too close to a campfire, then it gets creamier and sweeter after like 20 minutes. Super cozy and honestly perfect for cold weather. Minor flaw: I can see why some people think it’s a bit too literal or a little much indoors. Not something I’d wear in summer at all. But for fall nights? Def one of the best cozy scents out there. Lasts around 7-8 hours on me too.
Erba Pura is nice, I get why people hype it, but tbh it just smells like a super loud fruity-musky cloud to me. I mostly get bright citrus up top and then a sweet white musk thing that sticks around forever. It’s clean, juicy, a little shampoo-y, and definitely easy to like. My issue is that it doesn’t really go anywhere after the opening. It reminds me of that modern niche style where everything is smooth and loud, but not that memorable. Performance is no joke though, this stuff lasts all day and projects hard. Decent scent, just not special enough for the price in my opinion.
This is pleasant, but I’m sitting at a 3/5 because it smells better in theory than on my skin. The smoky wood note is done well, and I do get that toasted marshmallow/chestnut thing people talk about, which is fun. But the sweetness gets a little heavy and almost synthetic after an hour. Kinda reminds me of sitting near a bonfire when your sweater smells good at first, then starts feeling too stuck in the fabric. Not bad at all, just not something I crave. Lasts pretty well and works best in fall or winter. I’d wear it casually, not really for anything special.
I love this. Sister Dreamer has that airy Byredo thing, but here it feels warmer and more soulful. The juniper berries give it this clean, almost cool sparkle at the top, then the frankincense comes in and makes it feel soft, hazy, and kinda meditative without going full churchy. Pink pepper keeps it from getting too sleepy. It smells really polished and unusual, but still easy to wear, which is not always the case with incense perfumes. On me it lasts around 6-7 hours with a soft cloud. Not beast mode, but enough. Def one of those scents that makes you keep smelling your wrist all day.
This is so good tbh. It’s not loud or attention-seeking, but it has a really addicting vibe. I get pink pepper first, then this smooth incense and a crisp juniper touch that keeps everything fresh. Kinda reminds me of the calm, minimalist side of Byredo, but with more personality. It feels intimate and a little mysterious, like a clean sweater with expensive skincare and a tiny bit of smoke. I’ve worn it during the day and at night and it just works. Projection stays pretty close after the first hour, but I don’t mind because the scent itself is gorgeous. Easy 5 stars for me.
This is one of those fragrances that instantly puts me in a good mood. I get a toasted marshmallow vibe mixed with chestnut and a dry wood smoke, and somehow it all works. It could have gone super gimmicky, but it doesn’t. It feels rich, cozy, and honestly kinda addictive. If you like sweet scents but BR540-style sugar isn’t your thing, try this. This has way more texture and personality. Projection is solid for the first couple hours, then it sits closer to the skin in a really nice way. I wear this mostly at night and people always ask what it is.
Tbh I get why this has a fanbase. The chestnut note with vanilla is really nice, and once it calms down it becomes this sweet, toasted, almost edible skin scent with a smoky edge. But in the opening? Whew. The smoke is intense and borderline barbecue on me if I overspray. So I love it, but with limits. One or two sprays max. It’s not as easy to wear as something like Jazz Club, and it’s definitely more niche-feeling than crowd-pleasing. Still, when I’m in the mood for something cozy and a little dramatic, this hits. Best in cold weather and lasts a solid 6 hours.
This one grew on me a lot. First wear, I thought it was just smoke and burnt wood. Now I actually love how the vanilla softens everything and gives it that toasted marshmallow kind of feel without turning super sugary. It’s warm, comforting, and a little sexy in that oversized sweater way. Not super versatile though. I would never wear this to the office or in hot weather, and if you don’t like smoky scents, this probably won’t convert you. But for crisp evenings, dates, or just wanting to smell cozy, it’s really good. Also gets me more compliments than I expected, especially from people standing close.
I do like Erba Pura a lot, but yeah, it’s a bit overhyped. What I get most is this smooth fruity-musky mix with a soft vanilla-ish sweetness underneath. It smells expensive in that polished, designer-on-vacation kind of way. Kinda reminds me of Kirke, but less chaotic and a little more refined. What I love is how easy it is to wear for nights out or dressed-up daytime stuff. It gets compliments without even trying. My issue is that it doesn’t evolve much. You basically get the same vibe for hours, which is nice but also a little boring if you want a journey. Still very good, just not mind-blowing for me.
I like By the Fireplace, but tbh I don’t love it as much as the hype would suggest. The opening is super nice though — I get roasted chestnut, smoke, and a sweet vanilla in the background. It really does give that cozy winter candle vibe. My issue is that after a while it feels a bit one-note on me, like sweet smoke and not much else. Nice, just not super exciting. Performance is decent, around 6-7 hours, with solid projection for the first couple hours. Def a cold weather scent, but for me it’s more comforting than addictive.
I don’t hate Erba Pura at all, but I’m also not obsessed. On my skin it opens with this sweet citrus-fruit mix, then I get a soft vanilla and musk base. Very clean, very wearable, kinda gives me expensive laundry with extra sugar. I can see it being a compliment getter because it’s smooth and easy, but it also feels a bit synthetic and generic after a while. Like, nice? Sure. Memorable? Not really. If you love those glossy crowd-pleasing scents, you’ll probably be into it more than I am. Lasts around 6-8 hours on me with solid projection for the first few hours.
I really wanted to like Erba Pura because people hype it like crazy, but tbh this was a letdown. On me it opens with this super bright citrus-fruit thing, then turns into a thick musky vanilla cloud that feels really synthetic. Not juicy or natural, just loud. It kinda gives me that same annoying sweetness I get from some BR540-style scents, except fruitier and somehow more screechy. The performance is definitely there, I can't even complain about that because it lasts forever and projects hard, but that's also part of the problem. One spray felt like too much. For the price, I expected something smoother and more refined.
I really wanted to love this because the whole cozy fireplace idea sounds amazing, but on my skin it goes way too hard on the burnt wood/smoke vibe. I do get a little chestnut and vanilla in the background, but they never really smooth it out. It ends up smelling like my sweater after sitting next to a bonfire, not like an actual comforting perfume. Kinda harsh and weirdly synthetic to my nose too. Performance is decent, like 6-7 hours, but that almost makes it worse since I was tired of it after the first hour. Cool concept, not my thing at all.
