Fleur du Mâle is amazing tbh. It has that JPG sweetness/cleanliness, but instead of being sugary or clubby, it goes herbal and smooth. I get basil up top, then a soft chamomile vibe that feels super relaxing. It’s masculine but not macho, floral but not feminine in a basic way. Just very balanced. On my skin it lasts around 6-7 hours with moderate projection, which is perfect because this would be too much if it screamed. I’d recommend this to anyone bored of mainstream freshies.
This is one of those fragrances I keep smelling on my wrist all day. The opening is bright and green from the petitgrain, then it gets softer with chamomile and this clean musky feeling. It’s fresh but also weirdly cozy, like a spring morning with the windows open. Not loud beast mode, but people around you will notice it in a nice way. I’ve gotten a few “you smell really clean” compliments with this. Honestly a masterpiece if you like softer masculine scents.
5/5 for me because it’s actually original. So many men’s scents are blue, woody, ambroxan bombs, and then there’s Fleur du Mâle doing this soft floral-herbal clean thing. The chamomile is gorgeous here, almost calming, and the basil stops it from going too pretty. It kinda reminds me of fresh sheets, fancy soap, and a garden after rain all mixed together. Def not for everyone, but if it clicks with you, it REALLY clicks. I wish JPG still made stuff this bold.
This smells expensive in that Frederic Malle way, but also weirdly comforting. I get a lot of sandalwood and leather, with this spicy nutmeg thing floating around. It kinda reminds me of walking into a very chic cabin where someone baked cookies earlier but now everyone is wearing black cashmere lol. Not a safe blind buy because the leather/styrax side might feel too heavy for some people. Still, I love how textured it is. Lasted most of the day on me, but stayed closer after hour 4.
I really like this one. Northern Love opens super warm on me, like saffron and cinnamon dusted over some fancy speculoos cookie, but it never goes full gourmand. The leather creeps in pretty quickly and makes it feel more grown up, almost a little smoky. It’s cozy but not soft, if that makes sense. My only issue is the drydown gets a bit dense after a few hours, so I wouldn’t overspray. Performance is solid, around 7 hours on my skin with decent projection. Def a fall/winter vibe.
Dolce Mio smells like a fancy creamy dessert with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Not full-on gourmand beast mode, more soft and polished. I was worried the oud would be loud, but on me it’s just a darker woody background with amber, nothing scary. It gives the perfume some depth so it doesn’t smell like a strawberry milkshake from the mall. Performance is good, about 6-8 hours, but projection is more personal after the first hour. I love it, just wish it had a little more sparkle.
I really like Dolce Mio, it’s like a warm strawberry milk dessert but not in a cheap body spray way. The milk note is super cozy and the cinnamon gives it a little kick so it doesn’t turn flat. On my skin the sweetness gets softer after an hour and the sandalwood comes out more, which I love. My only issue is that it can feel a bit too thick in warm weather, like it needs cold air to really shine. Lasts around 7 hours on me with moderate projection.
Really nice scent, just a little odd in a good way. I get a lot of chamomile here, almost like warm herbal tea, with that petitgrain giving it a bright green edge. It’s clean, powdery, and kinda elegant, but not grandma-ish to me. More like a guy who actually irons his shirts lol. I don’t think it’s super versatile because the herbal vibe can be a lot, especially in cold weather. But on a mild day it smells amazing. Lasts well on clothes and has a smooth drydown.
Tbh I totally get why people are split on this one. Fleur du Mâle is kinda strange, like fresh herbs, bitter petitgrain, and soft chamomile tea all blended into a very clean white floral vibe. It doesn’t smell “modern” exactly, but it has personality. I love wearing it in spring when I want something fresh that isn’t another Sauvage-type scent. The only downside is the opening can feel a bit harsh and medicinal for 10 minutes. After that it smooths out beautifully. Very underrated imo.
Moon Tale smells like a perfect fruity glow. The raspberry is the star for me, fresh and sweet but balanced, almost like sparkling berries in a fancy cocktail. It has this soft clean warmth after the opening that makes it feel wearable year-round. I could see this being a signature scent if you like feminine fruity perfumes that don’t scream. Yes, it’s probably overpriced because LV, but honestly the quality is there and I’d still recommend it. Just really beautiful.
This smells like the most expensive white button-down ever, freshly washed but somehow sexy. I mostly get petitgrain and chamomile, very clean but not shower gel clean. More soft, airy, almost powdery clean. The basil gives it a little green snap which I really like. It feels confident without trying too hard. I’d wear this to work, dinner, literally anywhere. Projection is solid for the first few hours then it sits closer, but it lasts all day on clothes.
I love this one so much. Fleur du Mâle smells like clean white laundry hanging in the sun, but with this soft herbal twist from the chamomile and basil that keeps it from being boring. The petitgrain gives it that bright green bite at the start, then it turns creamy and smooth on skin. It’s not your typical “fresh guy” scent at all, way more artsy and elegant. Performance is honestly great on me too, like 7-8 hours easy. Super underrated JPG.
Northern Love is one of those scents I kept sniffing even though I wasn’t sure at first. The saffron opening is bold and kinda dry, then the sandalwood and leather make it creamy but rugged. It has that niche “what is that?” vibe without being too strange. I don’t find it super sexy exactly, more mysterious and cozy. Projection is good but not beast mode, which I actually appreciate. I’d give it 4/5 because it’s beautiful, just a little too spicy-resinous to wear every day.
Honestly this is way more wearable than I expected from the note list. I was scared of the speculoos and cinnamon being too sugary, but it’s actually balanced by patchouli and balsam so it comes off dark, resinous, and warm. There’s a little cookie-spice sweetness, but not like a Bath & Body Works candle. I love this for cold nights, especially with a sweater or jacket. Minor flaw: the opening is a bit sharp/spicy for the first 10 minutes. After that it smooths out beautifully.
This one surprised me. I thought it would be super childish because of the strawberry and milk, but it’s actually smooth and romantic. The vanilla and musk make it feel very skin-like, almost like sweet lotion after a warm shower. It reminds me a tiny bit of the cozy side of Bianco Latte, but less caramel and more fruity. I wouldn’t call it a compliment monster, it sits closer on me, but people nearby can smell it. Really nice overall, just maybe a little overpriced for how soft it gets.
This is very pretty and kinda addictive. I mostly get vanilla, milk, and a soft musky base, with the strawberry popping in and out. It’s sweet but more creamy than sugary, which I appreciate. Tbh I expected it to be more playful, but it’s actually a little more grown up and smooth. The only flaw for me is the opening can feel a bit heavy and almost too lactonic for the first 20 minutes. After that it settles beautifully. Definitely a cuddly sweater scent.
This smells like stepping out of a fancy old-school barber shop, but with a weird floral/herbal twist. I mostly get petitgrain and basil, very crisp and green, then it dries down softer with chamomile. It’s clean without being boring, and honestly feels more confident than sexy. I wouldn’t wear it on a date unless the person likes unusual scents, because it’s not sweet or mass appealing at all. Still, I really enjoy it. Projection is decent for the first couple hours, then it sits closer.
I love how different this is from the usual sweet JPG stuff. Fleur du Mâle opens super green and soapy on me, like petitgrain mixed with fresh basil in a clean white shirt. There’s also this soft chamomile thing that makes it feel calm instead of sharp. It’s definitely not a crowd-pleaser in the basic blue fragrance way, but that’s why I like it. Minor flaw: it can come off a little too powdery/clean, almost laundry detergent-ish if I overspray. Performance is really solid though, like 7-8 hours easy.
This is decent, but I expected more from Frederic Malle tbh. The opening is cozy with cinnamon and saffron, kinda like a fancy holiday candle, then it gets smoother with sandalwood and a soft leather thing. I like the warmth, but it never really grabs me or feels super memorable. Also the speculoos vibe is there, but not as delicious as I hoped. Performance is fine, around 6 hours, with pretty moderate projection. Nice to wear in cold weather, just not something I’d rush to buy at this price.
Dolce Mio is nice in a warm, milky dessert kinda way, but I wasn’t blown away. I mostly get milk, cinnamon and a soft vanilla, with a little woody musk underneath. The strawberry is there for like two seconds then disappears on me. It’s cozy and easy to wear, but also feels a bit flat after the opening, like it needed more richness or something to make it stand out. Performance is okay, around 5-6 hours, but projection stays pretty close. Not bad at all, just not something I’d rush to buy a full bottle of.
