I love this one way more than I expected. The opening gives me a crisp bergamot sparkle, but the magic is in that aromatic, slightly resinous cypress mixed with soft woods. It smells expensive in a very effortless way. Not loud for the sake of being loud, just super put together. Tbh a lot of fresh niche scents try too hard to be weird, and this doesn't. It's just beautiful and easy to reach for. I keep catching whiffs of it off my shirt and thinking wow, that's nice. Lasts a solid workday on me, maybe 6-7 hours, and gets me compliments without being obnoxious. Easy 5 stars.
Tbh I was expecting another generic woody fresh thing, but this surprised me. The cypress is the star for me, with a crisp aromatic feel and a little citrus sparkle up top. It smells expensive without being loud. Kinda gives me the same easy reach energy as Bleu de Chanel, but more airy and natural, less heavy. What I really love is how wearable it is — clean enough for everyday, but still unique enough that I don’t feel like everyone else. Lasts about 6-8 hours on my skin, which is plenty. Def one of the best from Goldfield & Banks for me.
This stuff is so good. Blue Cypress has that bright lavender/citrus opening, then the cypress and woods come in and make it smell super clean but still interesting. It’s fresh, but not basic shower gel fresh. There’s this smooth aromatic vibe that kinda reminds me of a more polished niche take on a classic blue fragrance, except way more natural and less annoying. I love this for daytime, office, even hotter weather. Performance is really solid too — I get around 7 hours easy with decent projection for the first couple. Honestly one of those scents that just makes you feel put together without trying too hard.
I really like this one. It opens a little boozy to me, then turns into this creamy vanilla/oud/sandalwood thing that feels super polished without going full heavy beast mode. Kinda reminds me of a softer, more wearable take on those rich Middle Eastern style woody ambers, but cleaner. The best part is how silky it actually feels on skin, like warm fabric more than sharp perfume. Minor flaw: the sweetness can get a bit thick after a few hours, especially indoors. Still, I keep sniffing my wrist. Lasts around 7-8 hours on me with solid projection for the first couple. Def a fall/winter scent, and honestly pretty sexy.
This is so good. Blue Cypress has that really clean, outdoorsy vibe without smelling like generic shower gel. I get a bright lavender/citrus lift at the top, then it settles into this smooth cypress-woody thing that feels super polished. Kinda reminds me of the classy side of Bleu de Chanel, but drier, greener, and way more interesting. What I love most is how easy it is to wear while still smelling a little unique. It works in heat, in the office, on a date, wherever. Performance is great too, around 7-8 hours on me with solid projection for the first couple hours. Def one of the best fresh woody scents I've tried.
I love this. It opens super fresh with citrus and lavender, then dries down into this smooth woody cypress thing that smells clean, classy, and weirdly addictive. Not sweet, not overly sharp, just really well balanced. If you like stuff that feels natural and effortless, this is a safe blind reach. It doesn’t scream for attention, but people notice it. I got a couple compliments wearing this to dinner and again at work, which almost never happens with fresher scents for me. Projection is moderate, not beast mode, but it sticks around a good 7 hours. Easy 5 stars honestly.
This is nice, just not wow. I get a smooth vanilla-woody thing with a little suede/leather in the background, and it does smell polished. Kinda creamy, a little warm, easy to wear. But for something called Elixir, I wanted more depth or a stronger signature. It never really gets there on my skin. It reminds me a bit of those luxe woody ambers that smell expensive for the first hour, then sit pretty close. Performance is decent, around 6 hours, but projection is pretty soft after the opening. Not bad at all, just tbh nothing super memorable. I'd wear it if I had a sample, but probably wouldn't buy a full bottle.
Tbh this surprised me. I expected another boring blue freshie, but the cypress and patchouli give it this dry green woody vibe that feels more mature and interesting. There’s a little lavender keeping it airy, but it never turns soapy on me, which I appreciate. I love this in warm weather because it feels crisp without being screechy. Performance is decent too — not beast mode, but I get around 6 hours and a nice clean scent bubble for the first couple. Only reason it’s not a full 5 is that it stays pretty linear. Still, it smells really good and way more refined than most mass-appeal fresh scents.
This is such an easy like for me. Blue Cypress has that fresh citrus-lavender opening, but the woody drydown is what makes it worth wearing. The cypress gives it a cool almost pencil-shaving dryness that I weirdly love. It smells masculine in a relaxed way, not loud or aggressive. Kinda feels like the guy who always looks effortlessly put together. I wouldn’t call it a compliment monster, but people around you will def notice that you smell nice. Minor complaint: it sits closer to the skin after a while, so don’t expect huge projection all day. Still, super classy and really versatile.
I wanted to love this more than I did. The opening is really pleasant—bright citrus with that smooth blue cypress/woody feel—and it has a natural, airy style that’s easy to appreciate. For the first couple hours it feels classy and super wearable, kinda like a more Australian outdoors version of a basic designer freshie. But then it just... levels out. No big development, no addictive drydown, and the performance on me was maybe 5-6 hours with soft projection. I can see why people enjoy it because it’s clean and versatile, but for a 3/5 this fits perfectly: solid, tasteful, and a little boring.
Some perfumes are impressive but hard to wear. This isn't one of them. Blue Cypress smells refined immediately, like polished woods with a little bergamot brightness and an aromatic edge. The cypress is the star for me. It gives that cool, slightly green texture that makes the whole thing feel upscale and different. I think that's why I love it so much: it's unique, but not in a challenging way. You can throw it on with a t-shirt or a blazer and it still works. Tbh this is one of those bottles that makes me feel put together fast. Great longevity, smooth projection, no harsh synthetic weirdness. Highly recommended.
I really like this one. Blue Cypress has that clean aromatic opening with lavender and a little citrusy brightness, then it settles into this smooth woody thing that feels super put together. It’s fresh, but not shower-gel fresh. More polished and outdoorsy. Kinda reminds me of a niche take on a classic blue fragrance, except less generic and way more natural smelling. The cypress note gives it a cool dry edge that keeps it interesting. Only minor flaw for me is the projection isn’t huge after the first hour, but it sticks around on skin for a solid 6-7 hours. Def easy to wear and easy to like.
This feels like standing near the coast with a breeze coming through piney trees. That's the vibe. I get a cool aromatic opening, some lavender, and then this dry cypress/patchouli base that keeps it grounded. Super relaxing but still stylish. If you like fresh fragrances but want something more refined than the usual designer stuff, this is def worth trying. It's not sweet, not heavy, not trying to copy BR540 or any of that trend-chasing thing. Just clean, woody, elegant, and kinda addictive. Projection is moderate, which honestly suits it. It wears close after a few hours but keeps going for most of the day. I really love how natural it smells.
Blue Cypress is basically my ideal spring/summer fragrance. The citrus opening is crisp and uplifting, then that blue cypress note comes in and gives it this airy woody coolness that smells insanely good on skin. There's also a touch of lavender that keeps it smooth and classy. It doesn't scream for attention, but people notice it. I wore this on a hot day and it never turned sharp or annoying, which is rare for me with fresher scents. Kinda has that niche clean-luxury feel without becoming sterile. Lasts around 7 hours on me with better projection than I expected. Honestly, I can't stop reaching for it.
Blue Cypress is nice, just not wow. I get a crisp lavender/cypress vibe up top with a dry woody base that feels clean and outdoorsy. It smells polished and easy to wear, like something you'd throw on for work or a casual daytime thing, but tbh it never really grabs me. There’s a slightly aromatic edge that I like, but after the first hour it gets pretty samey and sits closer to the skin than I wanted. Not bad at all, just missing that extra twist that would make me reach for it over my other fresh woody scents. Decent quality, decent taste level, just a little too safe for the price.
This is really good, just not an instant love for me. I get saffron up top with a smooth woody backbone and a fluffy vanilla in the drydown. It feels expensive and put together, like dressed-up comfort. If you like rich sweet woods but think BR540-style stuff is too loud or too sugary, this might hit the spot. My only issue is that it sits a little closer to the skin than I expected after the first hour, so I wanted more projection for the price. Still very classy and easy to wear for nights out or cooler weather. I love how cozy it gets without turning dessert-y.
This is the kind of fragrance I reach for when I want to smell good without thinking too hard. I get cypress first, then lavender, then a soft woody base that stays pretty smooth the whole way through. It feels calm, clean, and a little upscale. Not flashy, not trying too hard. If you like stuff in the Terre d’Hermes / aromatic woods lane but want something lighter and easier, this is worth trying. My only issue is it doesn’t totally wow me for the price, so 4 stars feels fair. Still, I love how natural and wearable it is. Great office scent and honestly pretty underrated.
Kinda disappointed with Blue Cypress tbh. I was hoping for this cool airy woods thing, but on my skin it turns into a sharp cypress/juniper blast with a weird aromatic edge that feels a little synthetic. There is something fresh in the opening, but it never really settles into anything interesting after that. Just stays dry, scratchy, and a bit harsh. For the price, I expected way more depth and polish. It also sat pretty close to the skin on me after the first hour, so not even great performance to make up for it. Not terrible, just really underwhelming and definitely not something I'd reach for over other fresh woody scents.
I wanted to love this more than I actually did. The opening is pretty with saffron and soft woods, then a sweet vanilla comes in and keeps it cozy. It's smooth and wearable, no harsh edges, and I can see why people call it classy. That said, it feels a little too familiar? Like it's sitting somewhere between niche woody vanilla and designer-safe luxury. Nothing smells bad, but nothing really grabs me either. On me it lasts well enough, maybe 7 hours, though it never becomes beast mode. I'd say this is decent for cooler weather or a date night, but for the price, I expected something more unique.
I wanted to like this way more than I did. On my skin it starts with a nice saffron-ish warmth, then pretty quickly turns into this thick vanilla-oud cloud that feels kinda muddy and overly sweet. Not silky at all tbh. It almost gave me a designer-style amber vibe, like it's trying to be luxe but comes off a bit synthetic and heavy. The worst part is how flat it feels after the first hour—same sweet woody blur, no real development. Performance is decent, around 6-7 hours, but that doesn't help when I don't enjoy the smell that much. For the price, I expected something smoother and more interesting.
