This is easily one of my favorite white florals ever. Even though it’s called Gardénia, what I really get is this super creamy peachy floral cloud with soft rose and the smoothest vanilla in the background. It feels expensive in that very Guerlain way, like polished but still cozy. I love this because it never goes screechy or overly sharp on me, which happens a lot with florals. It kinda has that plush, velvety texture some people want from gardenia scents but rarely get. Lasts a solid 7-8 hours on my skin with elegant projection. Honestly just gorgeous and very addictive.
This is gorgeous. I was a little scared the apricot would make it feel too juicy or shampoo-y, but Guerlain made it super smooth and elegant instead. On me, the bergamot gives it a bright little sparkle in the opening, then the iris comes in and makes everything feel soft, airy, and expensive. It honestly smells happy without being childish, which is harder to pull off than people think. I love this for daytime but it still has enough polish for going out. Performance is really solid too, around 7 hours on me with a nice scent trail for the first couple hours. Def one of those perfumes that just feels effortlessly pretty.
This is one of those scents that just makes me feel put together. Not sexy in an obvious way, not loud, not trying to be trendy. Just really beautiful. I get soft iris first on my skin, then that fruity apricot glow starts peeking through and it’s so addictive. The bergamot keeps it from feeling heavy, which I appreciate. It smells expensive in a very natural, effortless way. I’ve worn it to brunch, work, and dinner and it fit every situation. Projection is moderate, longevity is very good, around 7 hours on me. Honestly I can’t stop reaching for it.
This is a very good perfume, just not a total knockout for me. The rose and peach combo is nice, and the tonka in the drydown gives it this soft, cozy warmth that I really enjoy. It smells expensive and refined, def not cheap or screechy. But tbh I wanted more personality. For something called Cruel Gardénia, I expected more drama, more bite, maybe more of that lush white floral punch. Instead it wears very smooth and restrained. I still think it’s beautiful for daytime or dressed-up office wear, and I’d happily wear it in spring. Just feels a little too safe for the name.

What I really love is the iris in the drydown. It adds that soft, powdery touch without turning makeup-bag vintage. Tbh a lot of fruity florals bore me or smell too sugary, but this feels polished and kinda effortless. Very wearable, very chic, and still a little unique. I’d wear this to brunch, work, or a dressy dinner and it wouldn’t feel out of place anywhere. Not beast mode, but it lasts well and stays classy the whole time.
There’s something about this that instantly lifts my mood. The opening has that juicy apricot and a fresh bergamot sparkle, then it settles into this silky, almost makeup-like iris that feels so chic. I keep sniffing my wrist when I wear it. It’s not sugary, not harsh, and not one of those perfumes that tries to copy BR540-style sweetness. Thank god. This feels more airy and refined, but still very memorable. I’ve gotten a few compliments with it, mostly from people saying I smell really elegant. Lasts a solid workday for me and the quality is obvious. One of my favorite Guerlains, easy.
This is such a nice surprise. I was expecting something heavy and loud, but Oud Nude sits much closer to the skin than that. I get incense first, then almond and vanilla, and the whole thing turns into this smooth, smoky-sweet cloud. It kinda reminds me of the softer side of some Maison Francis Kurkdjian ouds, but more relaxed and less dressed up. I love how comforting it feels without becoming boring. Minor flaw: for the price, I wish it projected more. It’s not weak exactly, just not beast mode. Still, super classy and easy to wear if you want oud without the drama.
I can’t say this was love at first sniff, but it grew on me a lot. At first I found the almond and incense combo a little unusual, almost dry and dusty, but then the sandalwood comes in and makes everything creamy and smooth. That dry-to-creamy shift is actually what I love most now. It smells expensive, refined, and very Guerlain to me. Not playful, not super sweet, just quietly beautiful. I do think it’s slightly overpriced for what it does, especially since the projection stays pretty controlled. But the quality is there, and it lasts a solid 6-7 hours, so I still think it’s very good.
If Delina is the girl making an entrance, this is the one who already owns the room and doesn’t need to prove it. Cruel Gardénia is soft, creamy, and super chic. There’s something slightly elusive about it too, like the floral heart never fully shows all its cards. I actually love that, even if it means it’s not the most memorable Guerlain ever. There’s a little cumin peeking through that makes it warmer, but it never gets dirty on me. Honestly it smells expensive and put together, but also a bit safe for something called Oud Nude. I kept waiting for a twist and it never really came. Performance is decent, around 6 hours, with pretty close projection after the first hour. Easy to wear, sure, but for Guerlain and the price, I wanted something more memorable.

It smells polished and expensive, just not that memorable. The whole “gardenia” idea feels more like a smooth floral blur than an actual wow moment. On me it stays pretty close to the skin after the first hour, and overall performance is decent, around 5-6 hours. I’d wear it if I wanted something elegant and easy, but I wouldn’t reach for it over other soft florals in my collection. Good, not amazing.

My only issue is the opening can feel a little weird for the first 10 minutes before it smooths out. After that, it’s gorgeous. Lasts around 7-8 hours on me with moderate projection.

The vanilla and musk make it feel smooth and intimate, and the oud is polished rather than rough. It gives me that expensive, niche-y vibe without trying too hard. Not really office safe in hot weather though, and I wouldn’t call it super versatile. More of a night scent for me. Still, I keep going back to it because it feels really unique and kinda addictive.
