Overture 41 Woman is good, just not something I’d reach for often. I get a boozy apple vibe from the calvados at first, then it turns smoky and resinous with frankincense and a bit of leather. It feels expensive for sure, but also kinda heavy and dramatic in a way that doesn’t totally fit me. The vanilla softens it later, which I liked, but the whole thing still feels a bit dense. Performance is solid, like easily 8+ hours, but I wouldn’t call it an easy wear. Decent, unique-ish, but for the price I expected to love it more.
This is spice perfection. Nutmeg can sometimes smell dusty to me, but here it’s creamy and warm with sandalwood underneath. There’s a soft leather edge too that makes the whole thing feel smooth and expensive. I wouldn’t call it a safe blind buy because it has personality, but if you love warm spicy scents, wow. It has that “what are you wearing?” factor without being obnoxious. Lasts easily 7-9 hours on my skin. I’d wear this on a cold night, sweater weather, drinks, anything cozy but a little fancy.

This one is special. I totally get why it’s polarizing because the basil/petitgrain opening is kinda sharp and green, almost medicinal for a few minutes. But once it calms down, it becomes this clean, soft, elegant scent that feels super expensive. It doesn’t smell like Le Male to me, more like its artsy cousin who drinks herbal tea and wears linen. Performance is beastly on my skin, no joke. If you’re tired of sweet ambroxan bombs, Fleur du Mâle feels like fresh air.

It’s super smooth, cozy, and expensive-smelling. The vanilla gets creamier as it dries down and the musk keeps it soft instead of syrupy. Honestly this is one of the prettiest gourmand scents I’ve tried in a while. Lasted around 8 hours on me with a nice scent bubble, not beast mode but definitely noticeable. Total compliment getter.

Tbh this smells expensive from the first spray. I get saffron, patchouli, and this resinous styrax thing that makes it smoky-sweet and kinda seductive. It’s not a loud club fragrance, more like quiet confidence, but people will notice when they’re close. Very unisex too, maybe slightly leaning dark and dressed-up. I wouldn’t wear it in summer, but in fall/winter it’s perfect. It has that Frederic Malle depth where every hour smells a little different. Really impressive stuff.
