Tbh this is one of the few pricey niche scents where I smelled it and immediately understood the hype. The oud is rich but super smooth, the guaiac wood adds this smoky dry warmth, and the vanilla rounds everything out just enough. Nothing cheap, screechy, or synthetic-smelling to my nose. It’s powerful, so two sprays is plenty on me, and it lasts forever. Definitely not an everyday casual hoodie scent, but for nights out or colder weather? Absolute 5/5.
This smells like money in the best way. Not flashy sweet like BR540, more like dark woods, soft vanilla, and clean oud blended so well that nothing sticks out weirdly. I sprayed it before dinner and kept getting little whiffs the whole night, which is my favorite kind of performance. Strong but not suffocating if you go easy. It feels unisex to me, but definitely bold. I’d wear this when I want to feel put together and slightly intimidating lol.
What I love about Oud for Grace is how wearable it is for an oud fragrance. A lot of ouds feel too serious or old school on me, but this has a clean, almost airy edge from the bergamot that keeps it modern. The sandalwood is gorgeous too, soft and creamy underneath the darker woods. It kinda reminds me of the confidence of Oud for Greatness, but smoother and a little more elegant. Lasts all day with solid projection. Honestly beautiful stuff.
Honestly, this is a 5 star for me because it has atmosphere. A lot of perfumes just smell nice, but L'Heure Bleue feels like a whole scene. I get that airy ozonic opening first, then orange blossom, then a soft vanilla drydown that is ridiculously smooth. It’s feminine to me but not girly at all. More graceful, like someone who doesn’t need to prove anything. Performance is better than I expected too, around 6 hours with a gentle trail. Def not basic, and that’s why I love it.
I love this one way more than I expected. The oud is definitely there, but it’s not barnyard or harsh at all, more smooth and polished with this creamy sandalwood thing going on. The bergamot in the opening gives it a little lift so it doesn’t feel too heavy right away. It smells expensive, confident, and kinda mysterious without trying too hard. Performance is amazing on me, easily 8+ hours and I still catch it on clothes the next day. 5/5 for sure.
This is one of those perfumes that doesn’t scream, it just quietly wins. I mostly get orange blossom and vanilla, but not in a sweet bakery way. More like soft, powdery, expensive skin. The ambroxan gives it a smooth modern finish, so it doesn’t feel stuck in the past. I wore it to dinner and kept smelling my scarf the next day, no joke. Super classy and romantic. If you want something elegant that feels personal rather than trendy, this is absolutely worth trying.
L'Heure Bleue smells like twilight to me, which sounds dramatic but it really does. The vanilla is soft and creamy, the orange blossom feels slightly floral and nostalgic, and there’s this ozonic lift that keeps it from getting too thick. I get why people call this a masterpiece. It’s not a compliment-chaser like Delina or BR540, but it has way more soul. Lasts most of the day on clothes too. I wear it when I want to feel calm, put together, and a little mysterious.
This is probably one of the more wearable oud scents I’ve tried. If scary medicinal oud puts you off, don’t worry, this is much softer. The bergamot keeps it from feeling too dark at first, then the guaiac wood gives this warm smoky-woody thing that I really enjoy. It’s not a compliment monster like BR540 type scents, but it feels more mature and put together. I’d rate it high because it’s genuinely beautiful, just maybe a touch too polite for the price.
This is really nice if you like oud but don’t want the super barnyardy stuff. Kinda gives rich hotel lobby vibes lol. My only issue is that it doesn’t feel wildly unique for Initio prices, like I wanted a bit more drama. Performance is solid though, around 7 hours with moderate projection.
Elysium Absolue Pour Femme is super smooth. The fig stands out most to me, mixed with a soft sandalwood base that makes the whole thing feel creamy and calm. It’s not loud at all, more like a close, classy scent bubble. I love this for daytime when I want to smell expensive but not like I’m trying too hard. Minor flaw: the fruity top disappears faster than I want, and then it becomes more of a musky skin scent. Still really beautiful though.
Elysium Absolue Pour Femme is gorgeous. I get a blast of orange oil and pink pepper at first, super bright and fizzy, then the fruit comes in softer and rounder. It never turns syrupy on me, which I really appreciate. There’s this airy musk/ambergris thing happening that makes it feel clean but still sensual. Perfect for when you want to smell expensive without smelling like you tried too hard. I wore it during the day and it still felt right at night. Really versatile for such a luxe scent.
This is what I wish more fruity perfumes smelled like. The lychee gives it that bright, juicy sparkle, but the sandalwood underneath keeps it smooth and grown up.
