First wear and I was sold. Opus XVI Timber has this beautiful woody-resinous feel that comes off really refined, with cedar up top and a creamy ambery base that just melts into the skin. I kept waiting for some rough or overly smoky turn, but nope — it stays smooth and elegant the whole time. That’s what makes it so good to me. It has presence, but it’s never obnoxious. I’d say 6-8 hours on skin, longer on fabric, which is more than enough for something this polished. Super wearable, super high quality, and honestly just comforting in a very expensive way. Highly recommend.
Love this one. On me it opens with a crisp resinous sparkle, then settles into sandalwood and amber with a faint smoky edge. It’s rich but never heavy, which is why I think it works better than a lot of “serious” woody fragrances. Some niche woods can feel too dry or stern. This one has warmth and actual personality. What really sold me is how natural it smells. Nothing plasticky, nothing overly sweet, just smooth blended materials that keep getting better as it dries down. I’ve worn it in cooler weather and at night and it absolutely shines there. Great longevity too, around 8 hours easy. Highly recommended if you like elegant woods.
This is gorgeous. Opus XVI Timber feels like polished cedar and sandalwood wrapped in a soft amber glow, and somehow it smells expensive without trying too hard. I love how smooth it is — no harsh edges, no weird screechy phase, just this elegant woody warmth that keeps getting better as it dries down. It kinda gives me that niche luxury vibe I get from some Amouages, but this one is easier to wear. Lasted around 8-9 hours on me with really solid projection for the first few. Super classy, super addictive. If you like refined woods with a warm backbone, this is honestly a slam dunk.
Tbh this is one of those perfumes that makes me instantly stand up straighter. It smells tailored. I get dry cedar first, then a warm ambery depth with a little spice floating around in the background. It’s rich but not heavy, which is rare. Some woody scents go dusty or boring on me — this never does. It stays elegant the whole way through and feels special without being hard to wear. Performance is excellent too, around 8 hours easy with a nice scent trail. Not saying it smells like Delina or BR540 at all, but it has that same "people notice you" effect. Really, really good.
I’m really into this. It smells like dry cedar, smoky incense, and a touch of spice, but done in a very sleek, modern way. Not old-school dusty at all. It actually kinda reminds me of the feeling of Interlude toned way down and dressed up for a nice dinner. Super classy. This is the kind of scent that makes you stand a little straighter. Warm, woody, a little mysterious, and honestly very sexy without trying too hard. Performance is excellent too, easily 9 hours on my skin. Not cheap, obviously, but this smells like quality and feels worth wearing when you want something special.
Lust in Paradise Extrait is one of those perfumes I enjoy every time I wear it, even if I’m not fully obsessed. The rose-peony combo is smooth and modern, and the musk in the drydown keeps it clean and slightly sexy. It feels dressed up but still casual enough for daytime. I can see this working really well for spring weddings or dinner out. The only thing holding it back from 5 stars for me is that it plays things a little too safe. It’s beautiful, but I wanted one twist, one weird little edge. Still lasts well on me though, like 7 hours easy, and the quality feels high.
I really like this. It opens super juicy on me, like peony with a clean lychee sparkle, then turns into this smooth musky floral skin scent. Very polished, very Ex Nihilo. It kinda gives me that expensive shampoo vibe in the best way, and I can see why people call it addictive. My only issue is the extrait label had me expecting more depth and a bit more drama. It stays around 7-8 hours, but the projection is more elegant than loud. Still, I’d happily wear this to brunch, work, or a date. Just wish it felt a little more unique for the price.
Tbh I wanted to love this more because the bottle and whole JPG vibe had me expecting something sexy and memorable. What I got was a soft rose with pear-like sweetness and a musky base. It’s pleasant, no question, and super easy to wear without offending anyone, but it never really takes off. Kinda feels like a watered-down designer floral with a cute sugary twist. Projection is moderate for the first hour, then it chills out fast. I don’t hate it, but for the price I need more character. If you want an uncomplicated sweet rose for everyday use, sure. If you want something that really turns heads, this probably isn’t it.
I can see why people like this. It’s fresh, airy, and smooth, with a juicy lychee-ish feel up top, soft florals in the middle, and a musky-clean base. Very pretty in that effortless rich-girl way. But for me, that’s also the problem — it reminds me a little of the whole modern rosy-musky crowd without doing enough to stand out. Not bad at all, just kinda there. I’d wear it to brunch or the office, not really for a date night or anything exciting. Lasts okay, maybe 6 hours, and never gets loud. Decent scent, nothing special.
This is gorgeous. I get a polished wood vibe first, then a soft incense haze and a creamy amber thing underneath that makes it feel really expensive. It’s not loud in a messy way, just super refined and confident. Kinda gives me that same ‘luxury air’ I get from some other Amouage releases, but this one feels easier to wear. What I love most is how smooth it stays the whole time. No harsh screechy phase, no weird dip in the middle. Just rich, elegant, addictive. Lasted around 8-10 hours on me with very solid projection for the first few hours. Def a 5/5 for me.
This is probably my favorite kind of woody fragrance: warm, smooth, and quietly sexy. I get sandalwood and cedar most clearly, with just enough amber to keep it from feeling dry. There’s something super polished about it, like a luxury boutique in winter. What I appreciate most is that it feels unique without going weird for the sake of being niche. You can wear this dressed up, but honestly I’d wear it anytime because it just smells that good. Projection was strong for the first couple hours, then it sat a bit closer but kept going for ages. Easy 5 stars from me.
I love this stuff. The opening has a fresh spicy lift to me, then it settles into this creamy sandalwood/amber thing that smells ridiculously good up close. It’s not loud in a messy way, just confident. Kinda reminds me of the smoother side of Memoirs or even a less challenging Interlude, but way more wearable day to day. What really got me is how natural the woods feel. Nothing cheap or synthetic here. It stayed on my skin most of the day, easy 7+ hours, and on clothes it was still there the next morning. Def one of those fragrances that makes you keep sniffing your wrist.
This is nice, just not wow. I mostly get a rosy fruity sweetness with a soft vanilla-ish drydown, and it does smell pretty feminine and easy to wear. The problem is... I feel like I’ve smelled this vibe a bunch of times already. It’s not bad at all, just very safe. On me it starts out a little bright and flirty, then turns into a smooth sweet floral that sits fairly close after a couple hours. Lasted around 5-6 hours, so decent enough. I’d wear it to brunch or a casual date, but I wouldn’t pick it over something like Delina if I wanted a rose scent with more personality.
Tbh this is very good, just not love at first sniff. The opening gave me a slightly synthetic woody edge, almost pencil-shavings for a minute, but then it calmed down into a beautiful mix of dry woods, soft amber, and a hint of incense. That dry elegance is what makes it worth wearing. It feels niche in a real way, not weird for the sake of being weird. I wouldn’t call it cozy exactly, more sleek and tailored. Best in cooler weather for me. The price is also... very Amouage, so yeah, a little painful. Still, if you want a classy woody scent that doesn’t smell like everyone else, this is def worth trying.
This is nice, don’t get me wrong, but for an Ex Nihilo extrait I expected more of a wow moment. I mostly get a bright peony/rose type floral with a soft musky drydown and a little pink pepper sparkle in the opening. It smells clean, polished, feminine… just not super memorable. Kinda gives me designer-luxe vibes more than something truly special. Performance is decent on me, around 6-7 hours, but the projection sits closer than I wanted after the first hour. Easy to wear and hard to hate, but tbh I wouldn’t pay extrait prices for something this safe.
Love this more than I thought I would. On me it opens a little dry and spicy, then turns into this airy cedar/incense thing that feels super calming. There’s also a faint creamy warmth in the background that keeps it from going too austere. It’s not super challenging, which honestly I appreciate. Some Amouages feel like a whole ceremony; this one is just easy to wear. Minor flaw: I wish it had a bit more depth in the mid, because there are moments where it feels almost too smooth and safe. But overall? Really nice stuff. Lasts about 6 hours on my skin and gets me compliments when people are close.
I love this kind of scent tbh. It’s bright, floral, musky, and just super easy. The lychee pops a little in the opening, then I mostly get soft peony and clean musk. It smells expensive without trying too hard. This is the type of perfume that gets compliments because people lean in and say you smell really good, not because it fills the room. So yeah, not beast mode at all. If you want something bold or super unique, this may feel a bit safe. But for everyday wear? Def a winner. Feminine, clean, and just really pretty from start to finish.
This is really nice if you want a fresh floral that still feels luxe. I get rose and peony first, then a clean musk that makes everything feel airy and put together. Not sugary, not heavy, not too soapy either. Kinda reminds me of Delina’s prettier, less dramatic cousin without the tart bite. I love how easy it is to wear because it never gets annoying, even in warmer weather. Minor flaw: it doesn’t wow me emotionally. It smells beautiful, but not in a life-changing way. Performance is solid though, around 6 hours with a soft but noticeable trail for the first couple.
I wanted to love this so bad because the bottle is gorgeous, but the scent itself just didn’t do much for me. I get a rosy sweetness with some pear-ish fruity touch at first, then it turns into this blurry vanilla cloud that feels kinda generic. Not awful, just really underwhelming for a JPG flanker. It also comes off a bit synthetic on my skin, especially in the opening. Performance wasn’t great either — maybe 4-5 hours and then it’s basically a skin scent. Tbh this feels like it’s trying to be sexy and playful, but ends up smelling like a watered-down designer rose. Cute, but not worth the hype or the price.
Tbh I expected way more from this. It opens with a bright peony/lychee kind of vibe, but instead of feeling juicy and luxe, it comes off kinda sharp and synthetic on my skin. There’s some musk in the drydown, but it doesn’t really save it. The whole thing feels like it wants to be this dreamy, airy floral, but I just get expensive shampoo. Not awful, just really not special for the price. Performance was also weird for an extrait — it sat close to the skin fast and I was barely getting it after like 5-6 hours. For Ex Nihilo money, this is a letdown.
