I really like this, but I don’t think it’s a safe blind buy. The labdanum has that sticky, resinous vibe that can read a little vintage at first. Once it settles, the tonka and vanilla soften everything and it becomes much more wearable. It kinda reminds me of an old cashmere coat that still smells faintly sweet and smoky. Very classy, but def not playful or fresh. I’d wear it for dinner or a winter event, not everyday errands. Lasts well, just wish the opening was a little smoother.
This is super warm and cozy without going full dessert. I mostly get labdanum and benzoin, with a soft vanilla thing underneath that makes it feel smooth and kinda golden. It smells expensive in that quiet MFK way, not loud or screechy. I love it on colder evenings, especially when I don’t want something too sweet. Minor flaw is it can feel a bit dense after a few hours, like the amber blanket gets heavy. Performance is really solid on me, around 7-8 hours, but projection stays moderate.
I’m picky with rose perfumes and this one works for me. It’s romantic but not trying too hard, more polished than flirty. The Damask rose smells plush and slightly jammy at first, then the vetiver dries it down and makes it feel a bit more grown up. Not as juicy or loud as Delina, so if you want that girly punch you might find this too calm. I love it for dinners or work events though. Lasting power is good, projection is moderate.
Rose Palace is a lovely rose scent, just don’t expect beast mode. On my skin it opens bright and rosy, then settles into a soft Damask rose with a touch of vetiver in the background. I love how smooth it is, no screechy synthetic rose vibe, but I do wish it projected more. After a couple hours it sits closer to skin. Still, it smells expensive and feminine without being too sweet. Def a 4/5 for me.
This surprised me tbh. I expected a big syrupy rose but it’s cleaner and greener than that. The Damask rose is definitely the star, but the vetiver gives it this dry, slightly grassy edge that makes it feel more modern. This one surprised me. I expected something super aquatic, but Menorca is more mineral, musky and clean, with a little lemon brightness in the beginning. It’s not sweet at all, which I love. Feels very unisex and easy to wear, like a fancy spa by the sea. The sandalwood in the drydown is soft and creamy, but I wish it had a bit more punch because it can disappear into skin after a while. Still a very good fragrance, especially if you like fresh scents that don’t smell generic.

Minor flaw for me is the price, because the performance is good but not amazing. Still, every time I wear it I keep sniffing my wrist, so yeah… it works.
Menorca is kinda like a classy beach scent without going full sunscreen or coconut, thank god. The ginger gives it a nice little sparkle at the start, and the salt/mineral notes make it feel airy and coastal. I love how natural it smells, not screechy at all. It does lean pretty subtle though, so if you want beast mode this isn’t it. On me it lasts around 6 hours but stays close. Really nice for office or daytime when you want to smell fresh but still a bit unique.

It’s fresh but not boring-clean, which I appreciate. The musk keeps it soft and smooth instead of sharp. My only issue is it doesn’t project like crazy, more of a personal bubble scent after the first hour. Still, it smells expensive and relaxed, like linen shirt on vacation vibes. Def one I’d wear a lot in hot weather.

This is probably my favorite Fragrance Du Bois release I’ve smelled lately. The mandarin opening is brief but really pretty, then the fragrance melts into tonka, vanilla, and patchouli in such a smooth way. Nothing harsh, nothing muddy, just warm and expensive. It has that niche quality where it feels familiar enough to wear often, but still unique enough that people ask what it is. I’d wear this mostly in fall/winter, but honestly on a cool evening it’s perfect anytime. Full bottle worthy for sure.
Patchouli Gourmand is exactly what I wanted it to be: sweet, warm, and a little mysterious. The vanilla is creamy but not basic, and the pink pepper gives the opening a tiny kick so it doesn’t feel flat. After drydown, it’s this plush patchouli-vanilla mix that feels super sexy without being obvious. I wouldn’t call it fresh, but it has enough brightness at the start to keep it from feeling too dense. Wore it on a night out and got two compliments, so yeah, it works.

This is gorgeous. I was expecting a heavy dirty patchouli thing, but it’s way smoother and more wearable than that. The vanilla and tonka make it creamy and sweet, but not cupcake sweet, more like a warm cashmere sweater kind of vibe. Patchouli is there but super polished, almost chocolatey on my skin. Performance is great too, I get like 8+ hours and a soft but noticeable trail. It feels expensive in the best way, not loud or try-hard. Def one of the best gourmand patchouli scents I’ve tried.

This is the kind of scent I’d wear with a black coat or a nice shirt. French Oud has that bitter orange bite at first, then it turns warm, dry, and woody. The cypriol gives it a slightly smoky, earthy edge but it stays very clean and wearable. I love that it feels luxurious without trying too hard. Projection is solid for me, maybe not beast mode, but people near you will notice. Really classy stuff and honestly worth sampling if you like modern oud.
Honestly this smells like JPG trying to play in the niche oud lane and actually winning. If you’re expecting Le Male DNA, nope, this is way more refined. Performance is great too, I still smell it on my jacket the next day. Super impressed with this one.
