Odéon Rosebud is one of those scents that smells simple at first, then you keep sniffing your wrist like wait… this is actually amazing. I get bergamot and pink pepper right away, very fizzy and bright, then it melts into soft cashmeran. It’s polished but still cozy. Not a beast mode monster, which I actually like, but people near you will notice. Reminds me a tiny bit of the effortless vibe of Another 13, but warmer and prettier. Absolutely beautiful.
This smells like expensive cashmere to me. Warm, soft, slightly sweet, with tonka and patchouli doing most of the work. The patchouli is super clean, so if you hate the damp earthy kind, don’t worry. I wouldn’t call it beast mode, but it lasts a good while and leaves a really nice trail for the first few hours. It kinda reminds me of those smooth niche vanillas that aren’t trying too hard. I love it, just wish the price matched the excitement level a little more.
I really like this one. Patchouli Gourmand is sweet, but not cupcake sweet. The vanilla and patchouli combo feels dark and smooth, kinda like a fancy dessert in a wood-paneled lounge lol. There’s a little peppery sparkle at the start that keeps it from being too heavy. Performance is solid on my skin, around 7 hours, but projection is moderate. I do think it’s a bit overpriced for what it is, because it’s not wildly unique, but it smells very high quality and easy to wear.
French Oud gives me dressed-up blazer energy without trying too hard. The bitter orange is the best part for me, kinda bright and dry, then it melts into this woody cypriol base that feels smooth and slightly mysterious. Not really like the super sweet designer ouds out there, and thankfully not a BR540 clone either. It’s more restrained. I’d give it a 4 because it smells great, but I don’t think it’s super unique if you already own a few clean oud/woody scents. Performance is solid though, no complaints there.
I actually like this way more than I expected. French Oud opens with this bitter orange thing that feels sharp and classy, not juicy or sweet. Then the cypriol gives it that dry woody/oud-ish vibe without going full barnyard. Super wearable for an oud style scent, which is kinda rare. My only issue is it feels a bit too polished sometimes, like I wanted a little more depth or dirtiness. Still, it smells expensive and put together. Lasts around 7 hours on me with moderate projection.
Odéon Rosebud is so wearable. The bergamot up top makes it feel clean and sparkling, then it settles into this musky patchouli base that’s warm but not heavy. I love that it’s not syrupy or too floral, because I was expecting something way more rose-forward. It’s pretty, polished, and honestly office-safe, but still has that Memo texture where it doesn’t smell basic. Minor flaw: after a while it gets a tad dry and samey on my skin. Still, I’d happily wear this a lot, especially spring/fall.

It kinda reminds me of a more understated, less sweet fruity floral you’d wear with a good coat and nice makeup. Not Delina-level loud or girly, way softer and more modern. I do think it’s a bit overpriced for how subtle it is, but the scent itself is beautiful. Projection is polite, more close-to-skin after the first hour.
This is the kind of scent I want on my scarf in winter. The fig comes off plush and slightly sweet, then the benzoin wraps everything in this amber warmth that feels comforting but still polished. I don’t get anything sharp or synthetic, which is a big plus. The patchouli gives it backbone, so it doesn’t turn into a soft blob after an hour. It lasts all day on clothes and around 6-7 hours on skin. Super easy 5 stars, honestly. Cozy, classy, and a little seductive.
Tbh this might be one of my favorite Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances ever. It doesn’t smell like the usual sweet clubby stuff from the brand. This is warmer, smoother, and way more grown. The benzoin is the star for me, with fig giving it this soft fruity richness that keeps it from being too heavy. Patchouli adds a little darkness but nothing hippie or dusty. It’s cozy, sexy, and just different enough. If you like amber scents but want something less predictable, try this ASAP.
Ambre Tatouage smells like JPG went full luxury mode. The fig note is beautiful here, almost soft and velvety, and the benzoin makes it warm without going too vanilla-ish. I usually struggle with patchouli when it gets earthy, but here it’s blended so well it just adds depth. It feels elegant but not boring at all. I could see this being someone’s signature if they like warm scents with a unique twist. Lasted around 7 hours on me and got a compliment in an elevator, so yeah, I’m impressed.

Tbh this surprised me. I thought it would be heavier, but it’s actually pretty fresh in the beginning from the bitter orange. After that it gets dry and woody, with cypriol doing most of the work. It has that slightly earthy oud feeling without being funky, so even people who hate oud might tolerate this. I really love how clean and modern it smells. The only downside is it can feel a tiny bit flat in the drydown, like it needs one warmer note to round it out. Still, very good and easy to reach for.
This is a really nice “gateway oud” imo. Don’t expect some huge smoky monster oud, it’s more smooth, dry and slightly spicy from the cypriol. The bitter orange up top keeps it fresh enough so it doesn’t feel heavy or old-school. I love that balance, especially for cooler evenings. It does sit closer after a couple hours, which is the minor flaw for me because the opening is so good I wish it stayed louder. Still very classy and def date night material.
