This is gorgeous. I get this super smooth vanilla right away, then it settles into creamy sandalwood with a soft saffron-ish warmth that makes it feel a little luxe without going full dessert. It’s rich, but not heavy or sticky. Kinda gives me that polished, expensive vibe some people chase with niche gourmands, but this feels more put together and less loud. I love how silky it actually smells on skin, the name fits. Performance is excellent too — easy 8+ hours on me and people definitely notice it. If you like warm woody vanillas but want something more elegant than basic sweet stuff, this is def worth trying.
I love this stuff. Tales of Amber has that rich amber glow, but it’s not heavy or dusty like some amber perfumes can get. I get a smooth vanilla underneath and a soft woody vibe that makes it feel really polished. It honestly gives me that cozy-luxury feeling, like cashmere and warm skin. Super easy to wear but still feels special, which is rare. Performance is also great on me, easy 8+ hours and I keep catching little wafts of it all day. If you like warm scents but want something more refined than a sugary bomb, this is def worth trying.
Really, really good. Tales of Amber has that intimate warm-skin feel, but it’s still noticeable enough to feel like a proper perfume. I get amber first, then a soft vanilla and a clean woody drydown that makes it super addictive. It doesn’t go smoky or too sweet on me, which is exactly why I love it. Kinda reminds me of the comfort of something like Babycat’s vibe, but much smoother and less edgy. This is one of those scents that makes you feel put together instantly. Great longevity too, around 8 hours easy. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a classy warm fragrance.
This is gorgeous tbh. The amber here feels deep and resinous, then the vanilla rounds it out without making it smell like dessert. There’s also a soft spicy touch in the opening that keeps it interesting. Kinda reminds me of the idea of Grand Soir, but less thick and a little easier to wear. What I really love is how it sits between comforting and sexy. You can wear it out at night, but I’d also totally wear this just for myself at home. Projection is solid for the first few hours, then it becomes this really pretty warm aura.
This one surprised me in the best way. I was expecting a big resinous amber overload, but it’s actually really smooth and balanced. I mostly get amber, a touch of spice, and creamy woods. The whole thing smells refined, like the kind of scent you’d wear with a nice coat at night. Kinda reminds me of Grand Soir in mood, but this feels less syrupy and a little more airy on me. Performance is great too—solid 6-8 hours and enough projection that people notice without it taking over the room. Super easy to recommend if you want something warm, sexy, and genuinely high quality.
Silky Woods Elixir is such a win for me. The first thing I noticed was that creamy sandalwood vibe, then a soft vanilla comes through, and later I get a slightly incense-like warmth that keeps it from being too simple. It’s comforting, but not basic. Sweet, but not juvenile. I’ve tried plenty of woody vanilla scents and a lot of them either go flat or too sugary, but this stays interesting the whole wear. Kinda feels like if a cozy gourmand grew up and got really good taste. Lasts most of the day on me and leaves a classy little trail. Super easy 5/5.
Okay yeah, this is beautiful. It opens warm and slightly spicy, then turns into this silky suede/wood/vanilla combo that feels incredibly well put together. The benzoin stands out on me in the best way, giving it that resinous sweetness without making it sticky or too thick. I usually get bored with sweet woods, but not here. There’s something very smooth and elegant about it, like cashmere in fragrance form. It’s strong enough to feel special but not so loud that it wears you. I’d totally wear this to dinner, events, even just on a cool day when I want something comforting and fancy.
I love this. Tales of Amber feels rich and cozy without going into heavy, sticky territory. I get a smooth amber core, some soft vanilla, and a dry woody vibe in the background that keeps it really polished. It kinda gives me that luxurious Middle Eastern warmth, but cleaned up and made super wearable. Not a loud, sugary bomb at all. On my skin it lasts easily 7-8 hours and has a nice scent trail for the first few. This is one of those fragrances that makes you feel put together instantly. Def full bottle worthy for me, especially if you want something warm and elegant that still feels a bit unique.
Love this, honestly. It has that ambery warmth right away, but I also get a nice dry wood note and a bit of spice that stops it from feeling flat. The whole thing feels really smooth and natural on skin. Not sugary, not harsh, just cozy and put together. If I’m being picky, I do wish it had a little more personality. It’s very well done, just not the kind of scent that makes you stop in your tracks like Delina or BR540 do in their own lanes. But that’s also why it’s so wearable. I’ve gotten a few compliments with it, and it lasts a full workday on clothes for me. Great for autumn, def.
5/5 easily. I love vanilla fragrances, and this is one of the few that feels both comforting and expensive. The vanilla is there, but I also get this smooth woody backbone and a little spicy glow that keeps it from turning into cupcake territory. That balance is what makes it special. It’s not trying to be loud or weird just for niche points, it’s just really well done. On me it wears close-ish after a while, but it keeps going for hours and the scent cloud early on is beautiful. Honestly, this is the kind of perfume that makes you keep sniffing your sleeve.
Some amber fragrances smell too syrupy on me, but this one is basically perfect. I get warm amber, creamy woods, and just enough vanilla to soften the edges. It smells expensive without trying too hard. No harsh synthetic blast, no weird medicinal twist, just smooth from start to finish. I’ve worn it in cooler weather and it really shines there, but it’s not so dense that it becomes hard to wear. Lasts around 7-9 hours on my skin with pretty noticeable projection early on. I’ve gotten a bunch of compliments with this too, which almost never happens to me.
Tbh this is one of my favorite ambers I’ve tried in a while. It has that glowing, golden feel where the amber is front and center, but there’s also this soft vanilla sweetness and a gentle woody dryness that stops it from getting too plush. What I really love is how natural it smells. Nothing screechy, nothing harsh, just smooth from start to finish. It wears beautifully in cooler weather, but I could still see myself using it on relaxed evenings year round. Lasts really well on me, around 8 hours, with a classy projection. If you like elegant warm scents but want something a bit different from the usual crowd, this is def worth trying.
I really like this one. It opens with that cozy amber glow, then I get a soft vanilla thing in the background with a little woody dryness that keeps it from turning into dessert. It feels polished and expensive without being too serious. Kinda gives me that rich warm vibe some people like in Grand Soir, but this is easier to wear and less heavy. Only minor issue is I wish the opening had a bit more sparkle, because it gets smooth pretty fast. Still, the drydown is the best part for me. Lasts around 7 hours on my skin with decent projection for the first couple hours. Super easy reach in cooler weather.
This one surprised me. I expected a big loud amber, but it’s more smooth and enveloping than aggressive. The woody base is beautiful and the vanilla gives it this creamy, almost velvety feel. There’s a slight resinous sweetness that keeps pulling me back in. I keep sniffing my wrist with this one, no joke. It feels elegant in the same way some Maison Francis Kurkdjian stuff does, but with a warmer, more relaxed personality. Not really office-safe if you spray heavy, because it does project, but for evenings or cooler days it’s amazing. Easy 5 stars for me.
I’m really into this one. It has that warm amber/vanilla thing, but the oud in the background keeps it from feeling too soft or generic. Not a barnyard oud at all, just enough depth to make it interesting. It kinda reminds me of the idea of BR540’s luxe sweetness, but way creamier, woodier, and honestly more wearable for me. This feels like a fall/winter date night scent, but I’d still wear it dressed up during the day. Lasts forever on clothes and projects nicely for the first few hours. Super cozy, super sexy, and still classy.
This is pleasant, just not super exciting to me. I get a warm amber vibe with a soft vanilla sweetness and a little woody touch underneath. It wears smooth and polished, kinda like something that wants to feel rich without going full resin bomb. The problem is it never really has a wow moment. It sits pretty close after the first hour and on my skin it was maybe 5-6 hours, which is decent but not amazing for this style. I don’t dislike it at all — it’s easy to wear and fairly classy — but for the price I wanted more personality. Good scent, just not one I’d reach for over other ambers.
Tbh this smells good, but that’s kinda the issue — just good. I mostly get amber, some dry woods, and a hint of spice in the opening. It reminds me of those niche ambers that try to split the difference between cozy and upscale, but this one plays it very safe. Nothing smells bad or harsh, and I can see why people would call it versatile. I just kept waiting for a twist that never came. Projection was moderate at first, then pretty close to skin. If you want an easy, clean-ish amber for cooler weather, this works. If you want something memorable or sexy, there are better options.
This is such a nice amber fragrance tbh. I get resin, a creamy vanilla touch, and something slightly spicy that makes it feel more interesting than your usual sweet-amber scent. It’s warm and comforting, but not in a lazy bedtime way. More like a cashmere sweater with good jewelry lol. What I love is how balanced it feels. Nothing screeches, nothing goes too sugary. My only small complaint is that it sits a little closer to the skin after a few hours, so if you want beast mode this probably isn’t it. But for everyday wear or even work in cold weather, I think it’s really good. Def one of the better ambers I’ve tried lately.
I’m picky with amber because a lot of them go thick and sticky on me, but Tales of Amber stays pretty refined. I get amber first, then wood and a faint vanilla creaminess underneath. It smells expensive in that quiet way, not loud or look-at-me. Honestly that’s what I like most about it. It’s not super unique if you already own a bunch of warm resinous scents, and that’s probably my main flaw with it. But the quality is there. It reminds me a little of the smoother side of Ambre Nuit vibes, just less perfumey and easier. Performance is solid too, around 6-8 hours. I’d wear this on a dinner date or just out at night when I want something easy but classy.
I wanted to like this because the idea sounded super cozy, but on my skin Tales of Amber just turns into a thick, sweet amber cloud with a dusty woody backdrop. There’s a little spice in the opening that made me hopeful, then it quickly got kinda flat and stuffy. Tbh it feels like it’s trying to do that rich resinous thing, but instead it comes off a bit synthetic and more generic than I expected from Goldfield & Banks. Also way stronger than I wanted for this style. It sticks around for hours, but not in a fun way. Not terrible, just really not my thing, especially for the price.
