Most Searched Perfume in Every European Country 2026

Dior Sauvage is the most searched perfume in 18 of 30 European countries and sits in the top five in all 30. Baccarat Rouge 540 leads the UK, France and Switzerland, and four other markets. Across Europe, Sauvage draws about 594.000 searches a month.¹

The most searched perfume in every country

The table lists the top three perfumes in each of the 30 countries, with average monthly searches for the number one. Countries are in alphabetical order. The 30 are the EU countries plus the UK, Norway and Switzerland.¹

The Europe top 20

Adding every country together, Dior Sauvage leads with 594.350 searches a month. Baccarat Rouge 540 follows with 413.020, then Prada Paradoxe with 315.280.¹ Counting Sauvage Elixir with it, the Sauvage line draws about 752.000 searches a month.¹ Places 14 to 19 are all within 12 % of each other, so read 14 to 20 as a band rather than a strict order. For Her by Narciso Rodriguez (136.950) is effectively tied with Black Opium for 20th.¹

What the map shows

Sauvage dominates, with a strong second force

Dior Sauvage is number one in 18 countries, including Germany (76.000 searches a month), Poland (71.000) and Italy (58.000).¹ Baccarat Rouge 540 leads the UK, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Cyprus, Latvia and Luxembourg, and is in the top five in 26 countries. The UK is its biggest market, at about 95.000 searches a month against 84.000 for Sauvage.¹

Prada Paradoxe is the breakout

Paradoxe is number one in Greece (11.200) and Slovenia (1.800), in the top five of 20 countries and third Europe-wide. It ranks above Chanel, which has no perfume in the Europe top 15.¹ Part of that lead may reflect a launch or advertising push.

Middle-Eastern perfumes in the east

Lattafa Khamrah is the most searched perfume in Bulgaria, with 8.900 searches a month. It is also in the top five in Czechia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland and Romania. In Hungary, Lattafa holds two of the top five places, Khamrah and Yara.¹

The countries that break the pattern

Versace Eros is number one in Croatia. Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male is number one in Norway. Norway and Slovenia are the only countries where neither Sauvage nor Baccarat Rouge 540 reaches the top two.¹ Niche houses also appear in mass search demand: Xerjoff Erba Pura is second in Spain and the Netherlands, Xerjoff Naxos is fourth in Germany at about 48.000 searches a month, Louis Vuitton Imagination is in the Swiss top five, and Amouage Guidance is in Lithuania’s.¹

Close calls and fragile rankings

Four countries are neck and neck at the top, because the winner leads second place by less than 10 %.¹

• Latvia: Baccarat Rouge 540 ahead of Aventus by 3 %.
• Ireland: Baccarat Rouge 540 ahead of Sauvage by 4 %.
• Estonia: Sauvage ahead of Baccarat Rouge 540 by 5 %.
• Sweden: Sauvage ahead of Eros by 9 %.

Leads of 10 to 12 % in Norway, Slovenia, Lithuania, Croatia and the UK are also narrow. Denmark and Malta have ties at second and third, Estonia has a three-way tie for third, and Luxembourg is tied at third and fourth. Lower ties sit in Czechia, Bulgaria, Norway and Switzerland.¹

How to read these numbers

• Volumes are estimates. Ahrefs models them and rounds them into buckets.¹
• Small markets are fragile. Luxembourg, Malta, Cyprus and Estonia run on figures in the hundreds, so rankings there can shift easily.¹
• Searches are not sales. Phrases such as “creed aventus” include people looking for the brand’s shop.
• Sauvage is understated in France. The bare word “sauvage” was excluded because it is an everyday French word, so the France result, with Baccarat Rouge 540 first, is conservative rather than inflated.¹
• Coverage is limited to 116 perfumes. A perfume missing from the list could not appear in the results, though the list covers the global bestsellers.¹

What Europe searches vs what Scento customers order

Search interest and orders tell different stories. In the Scento Fragrance Index, covering October 2025 to September 2026, the three most-ordered perfumes at Scento are Louis Vuitton Imagination, Creed Aventus and Amouage Guidance.² In search, Imagination ranks 12th Europe-wide and Aventus 7th, while Guidance appears in only one country’s top five. Dior Sauvage, first for search, ranks 17th among Scento’s most-ordered masculine perfumes, and Paradoxe is 15th among its feminine ones.^1,2 Baccarat Rouge 540, second in search, ranks 23rd among Scento’s most-ordered perfumes, while its Extrait ranks 6th.^1,2

How we compiled this

Scento analysis of Ahrefs search-volume data, October 2026: we looked up the average monthly search volume (Ahrefs Keywords Explorer estimate) for 190 search phrases covering 116 widely sold perfumes, in each EU country plus the UK, Norway and Switzerland. The perfume list combined Scento’s Fragrance Index top 25, Europe-wide bestseller lists and the most common designer, niche and Middle-Eastern perfumes. Each perfume was searched in the forms people actually type, for example “dior sauvage” and “sauvage dior”, and all forms of the same perfume were added together, with flankers such as Sauvage Elixir or Le Male Elixir counted as separate perfumes. Single words that also mean something else (“sauvage”, “libre”, “invictus”, “yara”, “light blue”, “good girl”) were left out, so each perfume is counted only through phrases that clearly mean the perfume.
