This is gorgeous tbh. I get mandarin and a touch of black pepper at first, which keeps it from going basic fruity-floral, and then the vanilla comes in and makes everything feel creamy and cozy. It kinda reminds me of the vibe of Si flankers in general, but this one feels softer and more intimate. Not a beast mode perfume, but that’s part of why I like it. It sits close enough for everyday wear but still gets compliments when people come near. Super easy to wear to work, dinner, whatever. Just really well done and very addictive.
This smells like quiet luxury to me. Not flashy, not sugary, not one of those fragrances trying to fill the whole room. Tbh this might be my favorite Si flanker. The blackcurrant gives it that juicy little pop up top, but it never turns screechy. Then the patchouli shows up just enough to keep the sweetness grounded. Athalia is nice, just not wow to me. I get a soft powdery vibe with white musk and a little vanilla underneath, plus that bitter orange opening for like 5 minutes. It smells clean, polished, a bit fancy... but also kinda generic in the way a lot of expensive musks do. Not bad at all, just missing some personality. I kept waiting for the frankincense to do something interesting and it never really did on my skin. Performance is decent, around 6 hours, but projection stays pretty close. Easy to wear to work or dinner, but for PDM money I wanted more than "pleasant."
