Tbh this smells rich. Not loud rich, more understated rich. I get smooth amber, a little cedarwood dryness, and that resinous labdanum thing that makes it feel deep and slightly smoky. It kinda reminds me of the cozy elegance of Dior Ambre Nuit, but darker and more textured. Nothing screechy, nothing cheap, just super blended. I wore it to dinner and got two compliments, which almost never happens with softer ambers on me. Absolutely special occasion worthy.
Okay this one is gorgeous. I get a blast of black currant at first, tart and rich, then it melts into leather and a little oud that gives it this smoky, velvety feel. It’s bold but still wearable, which is hard to pull off. No screechy synthetic fruit, no headache sweetness. Just deep, elegant, expensive berry leather. On my skin it lasts around 9 hours and leaves a beautiful trail for the first few. If Delina is pretty pink romance, this is the black dress version.
This is the kind of perfume that makes people lean in and ask what you’re wearing. The black currant is the star, but it’s not playful or bright like typical berry scents. It’s darker, almost wine-like, with smooth leather underneath. I was scared of the oud note, but it’s blended so well here, more depth than funk. Feels very unisex too, which I love. Not an everyday grocery store scent for me, more like dinner, events, nights out. Expensive smelling and absolutely worth sampling.
I’m into this. Avanguardia has that rich Xerjoff feel where everything smells smooth and high quality. The cherry is there but it’s wrapped in olibanum and tonka, so it comes off warm, resinous and a little mysterious instead of playful. It actually feels more unisex than I expected. My small complaint is that the drydown gets slightly repetitive after a few hours, mostly sweet resin on my skin. Still, it smells beautiful and I’d totally wear it out at night.
This is really good, just not totally effortless. I love the cherry and tonka combo here, it’s sweet and creamy but still grown up. There’s something herbal/fruity from the davana that makes it a little weird in a good way, like it’s not trying to be Delina or Lost Cherry. That said, I do think it can lean a bit thick if you overspray. Two sprays max for me. Performance is strong, especially on clothes, so def go easy.
This smells like quiet luxury, honestly. Not shouting, not sugary, just smooth amber with cedarwood and a dusty almond vibe. It kinda reminds me of those niche ambers that feel expensive but not super original. I enjoy it a lot, but I don’t think it’s a must-have unless you’re really into resinous, musky ambers. Performance is good but not crazy, maybe 6-8 hours with a soft scent bubble. I’d wear this to dinner or an office day where I still want to smell a little mysterious.
This is really pretty if you like cozy amber scents that don’t go full grandma-resin. I get a soft almond thing in the opening, then it warms up with amber and a little cardamom spice. Super smooth, very polished, very YSL private line vibes. My only issue is it feels a bit too well-behaved for the price… like I wanted just a little more drama. Still, it smells expensive and comforting without being heavy. Lasts around 7 hours on me, projection is moderate.
This is gorgeous, but I have to be in the mood for it. The black currant opening is the best part for me, sharp and juicy in a really realistic way. After a while it gets more leathery and smoky, and that’s where I’m slightly less obsessed. Still smells expensive and different from most fruity fragrances out there. Performance is strong too, one or two sprays is plenty. I’d give it 4 stars because it’s unique and well done, just not something I’d wear every day.
If you’re expecting a cute black currant scent, this is not that. It’s tart, dense, and kinda moody. I love how the black currant feels almost wine-like, and the leather gives it this expensive jacket smell without going full biker. The oud is smooth but still adds some weight. It reminds me a tiny bit of the darker side of Ombre Leather, but fruitier and more niche. Very good, just a bit much for hot weather or casual errands.

It feels intimate and sexy, like a cashmere sweater at night. I was worried it might be too heavy with the amber and myrrh, but it’s actually really balanced. Projection is moderate, not beast mode, but it lasts forever on clothes. Honestly feels way more unique than most amber releases lately.

I’m usually bored by black currant because it can go syrupy or generic, but this one is on another level. It’s juicy, tart, dark, and has this leathery backbone that makes it feel niche in the best way. Nothing about it smells cheap. The oud gives it a smoky depth but it never takes over. Honestly reminds me of the vibe of a designer fruit scent that went to therapy, got rich, and became mysterious lol. Lasts all day on my jacket. 5/5 easily.
Black Currant Extrait smells like wearing a black silk shirt in a dim cocktail bar. Dramatic, polished, and weirdly addictive. I mostly get tart black currant upfront, then this soft leather comes in and makes it feel expensive instead of just fruity. The oud is there but not harsh, thank god. It’s not a safe blind buy because it has attitude, but wow… when it works, it WORKS. I kept smelling my wrist all night. Projection is strong but not obnoxious.

Super smooth, super classy, but still kinda sexy. Performance is excellent on me too, easily 8+ hours with a nice scent bubble. If you like fruity perfumes but want something grown-up and a little dangerous, def try this.
Avanguardia surprised me because I expected another sweet cherry bomb, but this is more polished. The mandarin gives it a bright sparkle in the opening, then the cherry comes in soft and juicy, not super candy-like. I get a bit of styrax later which makes it feel deeper and kinda leathery/resinous. Very Xerjoff in that it smells expensive. I wouldn’t wear it every day though, it has a fancy vibe and can feel a bit much in warm weather.

Really nice one. The cardamom is what makes it for me, because without that it could’ve been just another smooth amber fragrance. There’s a little patchouli in the base that gives it depth, but it’s not dirty or hippie at all. More warm, polished, slightly spicy. I do wish it projected more because it sits closer after the first hour, but the scent itself is beautiful. Not as addictive as something like Grand Soir, but easier to wear and less syrupy. Solid 4/5 for me.
I love this more in the drydown than the opening. At first the aldehydes are kinda sparkling and slightly weird on my skin, but give it 20 minutes and the amber/myrrh combo gets so soft and sexy. It’s not a loud beast, more like a cashmere sweater with gold jewelry. Def unisex to me too, maybe leaning warm and intimate. I wouldn’t wear it in summer, but for fall nights it’s gorgeous. Minor flaw is the opening can feel a little fizzy-clean, which might not be for everyone.
I wasn’t sure about this at first because the opening is pretty bold, almost sour black currant with this dark oud-ish background. But after 20 minutes it settles beautifully. The leather is smooth, not harsh, and it gives the fruit a luxe feel instead of smelling like jam. It’s def more evening/date night than office for me, unless you spray lightly. Longevity is great, but the price is a little painful. Still, I keep sniffing my wrist, so that says a lot.

My only issue is it can feel a little serious, like I need a black coat and better posture lol. Lasts easily 7-8 hours on me with decent projection.
