Ecstasy is exactly why I love niche perfumery. It doesn’t smell like anything at the mall. The pine is sharp and green at first, then the labdanum comes in with this sticky resin warmth, and the sandalwood makes it smooth as it dries down. It feels outdoorsy but also dressed up, like hiking in a cashmere sweater. I wouldn’t wear it to the office, but for evenings or cold weather it’s amazing. Beastly longevity on my skin, no joke.
Ecstasy surprised me because I expected something heavy and dramatic, but it’s actually really smooth. The sandalwood is creamy, the pine keeps it fresh, and the tonka adds just enough softness without turning gourmand. It kinda reminds me of those meditative woody fragrances, but with more personality and better performance. I wore it out to dinner and kept catching little waves of it all night. Super classy, a bit weird, and very sexy in a quiet way.
I’m into this, but I have to be in the mood. Ecstasy opens very green and piney, almost cold, then turns into this rich woody amber that feels smoky without being BBQ smoke. It kinda reminds me of those darker Serge Lutens foresty scents, just smoother and more polished. The labdanum gives it a sticky resin vibe that I love. It lasts well on skin, around 6-8 hours, but I wish the drydown had a little more contrast because it gets slightly flat later. Still, really beautiful and different.

I love how natural it smells, but I do think the beginning might scare some people off. Not blind-buy safe imo, but if you like resinous woody scents this is def worth testing.
This surprised me. I expected a heavy smoke bomb, but it’s actually pretty wearable. On me it opens with cinnamon and this crisp apple note, then the smoky vanilla takes over and it becomes warm and slightly boozy. It has that smooth Iso E Super type vibe in the drydown too, kinda airy instead of dense. I like that it feels cozy but not basic. Minor flaw: after a few hours the apple disappears completely and it gets a little flat. Still, I’d happily wear this in fall/winter.
Smoking Hot is exactly the kind of gourmand I like. Sweet, but with attitude. I get cinnamon and bourbon vanilla mostly, with this smoky haze sitting over everything. It feels like a grown-up version of a spiced dessert fragrance, not juvenile at all. Tbh I expected it to be louder, but the projection is actually perfect on me — noticeable for the first few hours, then settles into a warm bubble. Lasts all day on clothes. If Angels’ Share is too boozy for you, try this. It’s darker and smoother.
This is the kind of scent that makes designer blue fragrances feel painfully boring. Blackpepper opens super spicy and dry, almost like fresh crushed pepper over warm skin, then the oud and musk give it this smooth smoky shadow. It’s not loud beast mode, but it has serious character. I love wearing it in fall and winter, especially at night. It feels confident without trying too hard. If you like stuff like Terre d’Hermes but want something darker and more niche, this is amazing.
This is honestly addictive. The apple is juicy at first, then it turns into this spicy smoky vanilla thing that smells expensive and a little dangerous lol. It doesn’t remind me of anything else I own, which is rare because so many niche scents start blending together. The smoke is there but smooth, not barbecue or ashtray. I wore it out at night and got two compliments, so yeah… it works. Def more fall/winter to me, but I’d wear it anytime if I’m in the mood.
Tbh this is one of the few pepper perfumes that actually smells like pepper and not just generic woody spice. The opening has that dry, nose-tingly black pepper thing, then the tonka bean softens it just enough so it doesn’t feel harsh. I wouldn’t call it sweet though, more warm and slightly creamy. It’s very Comme des Garçons: weird, clean, dark, wearable all at once. Lasts around 6 hours on my skin, longer on a scarf. I’d rebuy this without thinking.
I love this so much. On me it opens like warm apple and cinnamon, but not in a cheap candle way at all. Then the smoke comes in and makes it feel darker, kinda like someone baked apple pie in a cabin with a fireplace going. Super cozy but also sexy. I was worried it would be too sweet, but the smokiness keeps it balanced. Performance is great too, I get like 8 hours and people def notice it without it choking everyone out. Easily one of Kilian’s best for me.
This is one of those perfumes that smells expensive without trying too hard. The earthy soil note is def noticeable, but it’s blended so well with amber and woods that it never feels dirty or harsh. It’s more like warm ground, dry resin, and smooth wood. I know that sounds odd lol, but it’s beautiful. Projection is strong for the first couple hours then settles into a deep cozy bubble. Highly recommend if you’re bored of sweet vanillas and clean musks.
Blackpepper is so simple but somehow feels expensive and complete. I mostly get cracked pepper and soft musk, with a dry patchouli vibe in the background. It’s spicy without smelling like incense or old-school masculine cologne. Honestly it works on anyone. I wear it to the office because it doesn’t scream, but it still feels cooler than 95% of office scents. Not a compliment monster in a loud way, more like people ask “you smell really good, what is that?” Big 5/5 for me.
This smells like wearing a black cashmere sweater in a tiny cool bar. The black pepper opening is sharp and fizzy, then it settles into this warm musky base with a bit of oud-ish woodiness. It’s not sweet, not fresh, not “pretty” in the usual way, but wow it has presence. I keep smelling my wrist every time I wear it. If you’re bored of clean ambroxan stuff or sugary vanillas, try this. Projection is moderate but it lasts forever on clothes.

Performance is great on me, like 7-8 hours, with a nice little scent bubble. Def one of Comme des Garçons’ best.
This is gorgeous in a kinda mysterious way. I mostly get labdanum, sandalwood and a soft piney edge, and the combo is honestly addictive. It’s resinous and warm but not sweet like a basic amber perfume. More like polished wood, incense smoke, and a forest cabin at night. I wouldn’t call it an easy blind buy because it has that earthy depth, but wow, if you like darker niche scents this is a 10/10. Lasts forever on my jacket too.

The soil tincture gives it that damp earthy thing and then the amber/tonka warms everything up beautifully. It feels spiritual but still wearable, which is hard to pull off. Performance is great on me, easily 8+ hours, with a nice aura but not screaming. Def one of the more unique Terenzis I’ve tried.
This is one of those perfumes that feels more about atmosphere than smelling “pretty.” I get sandalwood, dry woods, and a little earthy soil thing that makes it feel grounded and kinda spiritual. The tonka is there but don’t expect a sweet cozy tonka bomb, it’s way more dry and resinous. I love it in cooler weather, especially with a black sweater or leather jacket. Projection is decent but not beast mode, which I actually prefer here. Taking off one star because it’s a bit too niche/serious for casual wear.

After that it smooths out with musk and a bit of tonka, but it never gets sweet or soft in a cuddly way. I actually love that about it, it feels serious and a little strange. Projection is okay, not massive, which is probably for the best. I’d wear this at night or in fall/winter, not really an easy office blind grab.

I wouldn’t call it versatile at all, and if you hate sweet smoke this will annoy you fast. For me though, it’s fun, bold, and very date-night coded.

I like that it doesn’t turn into a loud “men’s cologne” thing, it stays artsy and unisex. Compared to something like Terre d’Hermes, this is much darker and less citrusy, more abstract. Performance is decent, not huge, but I can smell it on my scarf the next day. Minor flaw is the opening might be too harsh if you spray heavy. Go easy and it’s great.
