This is so good. Guerlain took oud and made it feel smooth, soft, and weirdly addictive instead of loud or harsh. I get a creamy sandalwood/vanilla cloud first, then that little touch of incense keeps it from going too sweet. The almond gives it this plush, almost cosmetic warmth that I really love. It feels expensive in the way Guerlain usually does, but more intimate and sensual. Kinda reminds me of a softer, more polished take on an oud-vanilla combo rather than a typical Middle Eastern bomb. Lasted around 8 hours on me with solid projection for the first 2-3. Honestly one of the easiest 5-star ouds for me.
I love this so much. Cruel Gardénia has that soft, creamy floral vibe that feels insanely polished without being fussy. On me the peach is just a gentle glow at the top, then the rose and vanilla melt into this smooth, almost velvety cloud. It doesn’t scream gardenia to my nose in a photorealistic way, but honestly I don’t care because it smells expensive and beautiful. Kinda gives me the same “dressed up but effortless” feeling I get from some classic Guerlains. Performance is really solid too, around 7 hours with a soft but noticeable trail. Super elegant, super wearable, and def one of those perfumes that makes me keep smelling my wrist.
This is gorgeous. I get a bright little flash of bergamot at first, then it settles into this warm, resinous cloud with benzoin and sandalwood that feels super polished. The spice is there, but it’s not loud or harsh at all, just blended in a really classy Guerlain way. Kinda reminds me of what I wish more “spicy” perfumes smelled like: rich, smooth, and actually wearable. I love how comforting it is without turning boring. On me it lasts easily 7-8 hours and keeps this elegant aura the whole time. Def one of those scents that makes you stand a little straighter when you wear it.
This is gorgeous. If you want a big loud white floral, this may surprise you because it’s actually more smooth and creamy than sharp. I get neroli early, then sandalwood comes in and makes everything feel round and silky. There’s also this faint sweetness that keeps it from going soapy. Tbh it reminds me a little of the refined side of Delina in the sense that it feels expensive and put together, but this is way softer and less fruity. It sits a bit closer to the skin after the first hour, which I personally love. Very classy, very feminine, and just easy to recommend if you like elegant florals.
Usually I’m picky with florals because they can go harsh or old-fashioned fast, but this one is just stunning. The rose here feels creamy instead of powdery, and the tonka/vanilla base makes it warm in the prettiest way. There’s something almost airy about it too, like silk instead of syrup. I’ve worn it daytime and at night and it works for both, which is rare for something this chic. Not beast mode, but it lasts a good 6-8 hours on me and I’ve gotten compliments every time. This is one of those perfumes that feels luxurious without trying too hard. Total 5/5 for me.
Tbh this surprised me. I expected something darker and more challenging, but Oud Nude is really about texture. On me it’s this soft incense wrapped in musk and sandalwood, with the oud polished down so it never gets medicinal. Super comforting, but not boring. It has that luxe Guerlain signature where everything feels blended and seamless. I could totally wear this in cooler weather with a sweater, but it also works dressed up. Performance is great too, around 7-8 hours easy. I keep thinking of it as the chic cousin of more aggressive oud scents. Very wearable, very classy, and still unique enough to stand out.
The almond in this is stunning. Not cherry-almond syrup, not candy, just this smooth nutty creaminess that melts into vanilla and a silky oud base. That combo is honestly addictive on skin. I’ve worn a lot of sweet woody stuff, and this avoids the synthetic sugar thing completely. It feels natural, rounded, and super polished. There’s also a faint smoky touch in the background that keeps it interesting. I got compliments the first time I wore it, which almost never happens to me. Lasts most of the day and gets closer to the skin after a few hours, but in a really sexy way. Big love.
This one took me a few wears, tbh. At first the artemisia in the top felt a little sharp and almost herbal-clean to me, and I wasn’t sure where it was going. But once the patchouli and benzoin settle in, wow. It turns into this warm, slightly mysterious skin scent that feels super put together. Not sweet like BR540, not rosy like Delina, just its own thing. I really love that it smells refined without trying too hard. My only issue is that the opening and drydown almost feel like two different perfumes. Still very good though, and I keep reaching for it when I want something understated but special.
I love this way more than I expected. The cumin scared me on paper, not gonna lie, but it never goes sweaty on me. It just adds this warm skin-like edge under the sandalwood and musk that makes the whole thing feel insanely sensual. Not a barnyard oud at all — more soft, creamy, expensive vibes. It kinda reminds me of the mood of some Middle Eastern perfumes, but cleaner and more refined, very Guerlain. Projection is noticeable without being beast mode, which actually makes it easier to wear. This is one of those fragrances that makes you keep sniffing your wrist all day.
Tbh this is one of the few oud fragrances I’d recommend blindly to someone who wants something elegant and comforting instead of dark and harsh. The vanilla is smooth, the incense gives it this airy smoky touch, and the oud stays polished in the background. No sharp medicinal phase, no weird funk, just a really beautiful blend. It feels a bit like the cozy side of a high-end boutique scent rather than a statement monster, but that’s why I love it. Lasts around 7-9 hours on me with a soft trail. Super classy, super easy to wear, and still distinctive enough that it doesn’t smell like everyone else.
Épices Volées isn’t trying to be beast mode and that’s part of why I love it. The lemon and coriander opening gives it a clean sparkle, then the labdanum comes in and makes everything feel soft, ambery, and expensive. It smells like someone with very good taste, not someone chasing compliments, even though I still got a few. Tbh this is one of the few spicy scents I’d happily wear dressed up or with a sweater and jeans. It’s refined but still cozy. Projection is more moderate than huge, but the scent itself is so beautiful I really don’t care.
I’m obsessed with this one. The patchouli here is smooth and dry, not dirty, and the benzoin gives it this slightly sweet resinous glow that makes the whole thing addictive. There’s also this herbal thing from the artemisia that keeps it from getting too heavy. If you like the idea of spice but hate when perfumes go sharp or dusty, try this. It feels intimate and luxurious at the same time. Not really like Delina or BR540 at all, thank god, this has way more character to me. Lasts all day on my scarf and a solid 6+ hours on skin.
This one is just classy as hell. It doesn’t scream for attention, but if someone gets close, wow. The vanilla and musk make it feel clean and creamy, while the incense gives it that elegant dry edge. Oud Nude is not trying to be some dark scary oud monster, and I’m very glad for that. It’s more like luxury fabric on warm skin. I’d actually call it versatile for an oud fragrance because it’s refined enough for dinner, work, or just when you want to smell expensive. Maybe a little overpriced, sure, but the scent itself is gorgeous. Easy 5 stars from me.
This is gorgeous. I was expecting something louder and more challenging because of the oud, but on my skin it turns into this super smooth almond-vanilla cloud with a soft woody backbone. The incense keeps it from going too dessert-like, which I love. It feels rich and dressed up without being stuffy, kinda like if Guerlain made an oud for people who usually avoid oud. Performance is excellent too — easy 8+ hours and I still catch it on clothes the next day. Honestly one of the most wearable luxury ouds I’ve tried. Sexy, cozy, polished. Def worth sampling if you like warm scents with a little mystery.
I love this for nights out. The cumin scared me on paper because that note can go sweaty fast, but here it’s super controlled and just adds this skin-like warmth under the oud. The vanilla is beautiful too, not cupcake sweet at all, just creamy and rich. It smells expensive, sexy, and very put together. If you like fragrances that sit somewhere between cozy and seductive, this is def worth trying. Not a beast mode projector, but it leaves a gorgeous trail and keeps pulling me back to my wrist. It feels more grown and understated than something flashy like BR540.
Really nice fragrance. I get bergamot up top, then this soft resinous warmth from labdanum that makes it feel cozy and expensive at the same time. It has that classic Guerlain smoothness, and I love that it never gets overly sweet or dusty. This is the kind of scent that makes you lean in, not something that fills a room. Def more elegant than sexy to me. The only small downside is the price vs performance — on my skin it’s around 5-6 hours, which is good but not amazing for this style. Still, the scent itself is so well blended that I can forgive it a bit.
This is really good. The opening gives me a quick flash of bergamot and lemon, but it turns warm pretty fast and that labdanum/benzoin combo is the star for me. It feels spicy without going full spice bomb, more smooth and glowing than loud. I love how the patchouli keeps it grounded so it doesn’t turn syrupy. Only reason it’s not a perfect 5 is the opening disappears a little too fast on my skin. After that it sits closer, but in a classy way. Lasts around 6-7 hours on me and feels very Guerlain. Super wearable if you like warm ambers that still have some sparkle.
I was expecting something darker and more dramatic from the name, but Épices Volées is actually pretty smooth and easy. The coriander gives it this dry spicy edge, then sandalwood softens everything out. Kinda reminds me of the polished side of Shalimar’s family, but way less heavy and easier to wear. I love this for evenings or cooler days when I want something warm but not too sweet. Minor flaw: projection is not amazing. It’s more of a close-to-skin scent after the first hour, so don’t expect beast mode. Still, the scent itself is gorgeous and feels expensive in that effortless Guerlain way.
This is pleasant, just not super memorable on me. The opening has a nice little spark from bergamot and lemon, then it settles into a soft resinous thing with benzoin and patchouli. I kept waiting for some twist or depth that would make it feel really special, but it kinda stays in that polite, woody-spicy lane the whole time. Not bad at all, just more "oh that’s nice" than "I need a bottle." Performance is decent, around 5-6 hours, and projection sits pretty close after the first hour. Easy to wear, elegant enough, but for a Guerlain spice scent I wanted a bit more personality tbh.
I don’t dislike this, but I’m not wowed either. On my skin the coriander comes through early with a slightly aromatic edge, then labdanum and sandalwood smooth it out. It smells refined and well blended, def not harsh or messy, and I can see this working in an office or cooler weather. The problem is it never really grabs me. For something called Épices Volées, I expected more drama or richness. Instead it wears like a quiet woody amber with a fresh top. Kinda classy, kinda safe. Lasts okay, maybe 6 hours, but the projection is pretty tame. Decent scent, just nothing special.
