I love saffron when it’s done like this. Not medicinal, not plasticky, just warm and slightly spicy with a plush vanilla base. Vendomania Extrait has that niche “wow what are you wearing” thing without smelling like every BR540-inspired scent out there. The leather is smooth too, more suede jacket than biker bar. It feels sexy but still classy. I wore this to dinner and got two compliments before dessert, so yeah, it works.
What I love about Demon Dancer is the contrast. It starts all bright and fizzy with bergamot, then the Akigalawood gives it this peppery woody kick that feels a little mysterious. Not heavy, not sweet in a basic way, just really well balanced. I could wear this in warm weather or at night, which is rare for something this interesting. It smells niche without trying too hard. Honestly one of the best releases I’ve smelled lately.
Demon Dancer is one of those scents I keep sniffing on my wrist. The peppermint is not toothpaste at all, more like a cold sparkle over blood orange and woods. It has this modern Ex Nihilo polish, kinda like something you’d smell on someone stylish and intimidating. I love that it’s fresh but not boring, and sweet but not gourmand. Performance is great too, easily lasts a full workday on my skin.
I’m obsessed with Demon Dancer. That opening is so weirdly addictive — bright blood orange with this cool peppermint thing that sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it totally does. It feels fresh and electric at first, then the woody musky base comes in and makes it super sexy. Not your basic citrus at all. On me it lasts around 8 hours and projects really well for the first few. Def one of the most unique Ex Nihilos I’ve tried.
This is a full bottle worthy scent for me. The opening has that saffron sparkle, then it gets creamy and cozy with vanilla and coconut, but never turns childish. The leather is super smooth, almost like a luxury handbag in the background. I wore it in cold weather and it bloomed beautifully, like warm skin and expensive cashmere. It’s not an everyday dumb reach for me, more of a special mood scent, but when it hits it REALLY hits. Killer longevity too.
This is what I wanted so many coconut perfumes to be. Not tropical, not sweet cocktail, not body lotion. Vendomania is creamy, warm, and kinda mysterious. I mostly get vanilla and coconut with this saffron glow around it, and the leather makes it feel more grown up. It has a similar addictive vibe to some niche amber-vanillas, but it doesn’t smell like a BR540 clone at all. Super smooth extrait texture too. Projection is strong but not obnoxious. Honestly 5/5 for me, it smells like money.
I love this way more than I expected. The saffron pops first, but it’s not that harsh medicinal saffron some scents have. It melts into this creamy vanilla-coconut thing that feels super expensive and smooth. There’s a little leather underneath too, just enough to make it sexy and not like a beachy sunscreen coconut. Performance is amazing on me, like 9+ hours and I still catch it on my scarf the next day. Def one of those perfumes that smells rich without trying too hard.
Changing Constance Intense is so good it’s annoying because now I want a full bottle. The opening has this peppery pimento spice that wakes it up right away, then it melts into creamy vanilla and tobacco. It’s sweet, but not juvenile at all. More sultry than cute. I’d 100% wear this on a date or a night out, but it’s still smooth enough to not choke people out. Lasts around 7 hours on my skin, longer on my scarf.
I love this so much. The vanilla is rich and cozy but not cupcake-y, and that cardamom/pimento thing gives it such a cool spicy kick. It feels expensive without trying too hard, like a warm cashmere sweater but with attitude. I wore it to dinner and kept catching little whiffs all night. Performance is great on me too, easily 8+ hours with a nice scent bubble. Def one of the best Penhaligon's I’ve tried.
Changing Constance Intense is basically comfort, but make it luxurious. I get a lot of tobacco and vanilla, but it’s not smoky in a heavy old-school way. More like sweet, warm, slightly spicy, super smooth. The pimento gives it this little bite that keeps it from being boring. I wore this to dinner and kept smelling my sleeve like a weirdo lol. It lasts forever on clothes too. If you like warm spicy gourmands but hate when they smell cheap, try this.
Okay wow, this one surprised me. The coconut here isn’t sunscreen-y at all, it’s more creamy and polished, almost like it’s melted into the vanilla. Then there’s this soft leather underneath that makes it feel grown and expensive. It kinda gives tropical resort at night, wearing black linen and gold jewelry lol. Projection is strong but not obnoxious, and it stayed on me around 9 hours. Easily one of the best Ex Nihilo scents I’ve tried.
I love this so much. It’s like cozy vanilla got dressed up in a designer coat and went out for cocktails. The cardamom and saffron give it this warm spicy kick without turning too sharp, and the vanilla is smooth but not cupcake-y. Super addictive on skin. It smells expensive in the best way, like you didn’t try too hard but everyone notices. Performance is great too, I get around 8 hours and a really nice scent bubble for the first few. Def one of Penhaligon’s best imo.
This is insanely good. I was expecting something super heavy because of the leather, but Vendomania is way smoother than that. The vanilla and coconut make it creamy and kinda addictive, while the saffron gives it that fancy warm glow. It feels expensive without trying too hard. On my skin it lasts forever, like I still smell it the next morning on clothes. Definitely not a casual cheapie vibe, more like dressed up, confident, slightly dangerous. Love this.
This is hot. Like actually hot. I get juicy blood orange first, then a dry woody amber vibe from the Ambrofix that makes it feel super sleek and confident. It doesn’t smell like Delina or BR540 or any of the usual popular stuff, which I appreciate. It’s more edgy, more night-out, but still wearable. Sprayed this on my jacket and could smell it the next day. 5/5 easy for me.
Tbh this smells like money in the best way. The bergamot and rhubarb give it this sharp sparkling bite, but then the tonka bean smooths everything out so it never gets too harsh. It’s clean, spicy, slightly sweet, and kinda dangerous smelling lol. I wore it to dinner and got two compliments before dessert. Is it overpriced? Probably. Do I still want a full bottle? Absolutely yes.
Vendomania Extrait is so well blended that it’s hard to pick apart, but in the best way. I get saffron, soft vanilla, and a suede-like leather vibe. It’s warm and kinda sensual without being loud or trashy. More elegant than sweet, which I really appreciate. If Delina is pretty and flirty, this is more like confident, dressed in black, perfect hair energy. It lasts around 8 hours on my skin with a nice scent bubble. Easily one of my favorites from Ex Nihilo.
Okay this one is dangerous lol. I sprayed once and kept smelling my wrist all day. The vanilla is plush and sweet but not cupcake-y, and the leather gives it this soft dark edge that I’m obsessed with. The coconut is there, but more creamy than beachy. It feels like something you wear to dinner when you wanna smell unforgettable. Lasts forever on clothes and I got two compliments the first time I wore it. Expensive? Yeah. But tbh it smells expensive too.
Tbh this smells luxe from the first spray. The saffron gives it that golden, slightly leathery warmth, then the vanilla comes in smooth and addictive. Cashmeran makes the whole thing feel soft and fuzzy, not powdery, just really comforting. It kinda reminds me of the vibe of BR540’s elegance, but warmer, spicier, and less airy. Projection is strong for the first couple hours then settles closer, but I could still smell it the next morning on my sweater. Gorgeous stuff.
This is what I wanted so many spicy vanillas to be. It’s cozy but not flat, sweet but not sticky, and the cardamom is blended beautifully. I don’t get a harsh tobacco, more like a soft smoky warmth sitting under the vanilla. Super wearable but still special, like you can tell it’s niche without it being weird for the sake of weird. I got two compliments the first time I wore it, which almost never happens to me. Total winner.
This is ridiculously good. I was expecting a basic sweet vanilla but nope, the saffron and tobacco make it way more interesting. It’s smooth, spicy, a little smoky, and super polished. Kinda gives me the same “expensive person walked by” feeling as some niche heavy hitters, but it has its own personality. Not loud beast mode, but it projects enough and lasts all day on clothes. Honestly 5/5, I’d wear this constantly in cold weather.
