Tbh this is one of the few floral perfumes I never get tired of. A lot of “spring” scents go watery or generic on me, but this stays crisp and alive. I get green notes first, then a soft freesia thing, with a subtle vetiver base that keeps it a little dry and chic. Kinda reminds me of those expensive minimal Byredo vibes at their best. Not as loud or sugary as Delina at all, which I personally prefer. It’s fresh, natural, and insanely wearable. Projection is moderate for me, not beast mode, but enough that people notice when they’re close. Def highly recommended.
I love this so much. Velvet Haze has this soft coconut thing that could've gone sunscreen-y, but it doesn't. It feels fuzzy and cool at the same time, like coconut wrapped in musk and cashmeran. The opening is a little airy and weird in a Byredo way, then it settles into something super comforting but still kinda sexy. Tbh it gives me that effortless 'expensive person in a giant sweater' vibe. I also like that it doesn't scream across the room, but people notice when they get close. On me it lasts around 6-7 hours, better on clothes. Def one of those scents that feels unique without trying too hard.
Velvet Haze is really special tbh. It's not a safe vanilla-musky crowd pleaser, and that's exactly why I rate it so high. I get hibiscus only as a vague floral tint, but the patchouli leaf and musk are what make this for me. It has that hazy, slightly earthy, almost retro vibe, but polished. Kinda like if a vintage scent got cleaned up and made modern. I wouldn't compare it to Delina or BR540 at all, it's way more understated and artsy. Projection stays pretty close, which I actually love here. It feels personal, intimate, and super chic.
This is seriously gorgeous. The opening hits me with black pepper and cardamom, but it’s not harsh or scratchy at all. It settles into this smooth amber-oud thing that feels super luxe and kinda mysterious. I love how polished it smells — not barnyard, not medicinal, just rich and deep. It gives me that expensive Amouage vibe without trying too hard. Performance is excellent too, easy all day on me with strong projection for the first few hours. Def not a throwaway oud. If you like your oud elegant instead of dirty, this is a 5/5 easy.
This stuff is stunning, plain and simple. The oud here is smooth and almost creamy to me, and the amber gives it that golden warmth that makes the whole thing feel super expensive. I also get little flashes of pink pepper in the opening that keep it from feeling flat. What I really love is how balanced it is: bold, but not loud for no reason. Sexy, polished, and very Amouage. Not really an everyday dumb reach for me, but when I want something special, this absolutely delivers. Beast mode? Not quite, but it lasts a solid 8+ hours and leaves a beautiful trail. Highly recommended.
Oud Zuhal is my kind of oud fragrance. Not dirty, not medicinal, not trying too hard. I get pink pepper up top, then this really beautiful amber-oud combo that feels smooth, deep, and kinda addictive. It has that dressed-in-dark-colors energy, but it’s not heavy in a suffocating way. Tbh I was expecting something more challenging from the name, but this is way easier to love than a lot of oud perfumes out there. It feels luxurious and very put together. Lasts all day on my skin and even longer on clothes. I’d wear this for nights out, formal stuff, or honestly whenever I want to smell expensive.
Tbh this is one of the nicest modern ouds I’ve tried. A lot of oud fragrances either go too animalic or too sweet, but this nails the balance. I get cardamom first, then that soft resinous amber wrapping around the oud. It smells super refined, like dressed-up evening wear, but I’d still wear it whenever I want to feel put together. No rough edges here. If Delina is pretty and BR540 is airy-sweet, this is their darker, more tailored cousin. Projection is strong at first, then it sits closer after a few hours but keeps going. Really, really well made.
I love this one so much. La Tulipe smells like fresh-cut stems and cool air, with that tart rhubarb in the opening keeping it from going too soft or soapy. Then the freesia comes in and it feels super clean, bright, and just effortlessly pretty. It doesn’t scream for attention, but that’s kinda the point. It smells polished without trying hard. On me it lasts around 6 hours and sits fairly close after the first hour, which actually makes it perfect for daytime. If you like florals but hate anything heavy or powdery, this is such an easy 5/5. Just makes me feel put together.
La Tulipe is one of those scents that seems simple until you wear it and realize how ridiculously well done it is. The freesia and cyclamen give it that airy floral feel, but the green side keeps it from getting too sweet or basic. It smells expensive in a very quiet way. Not flashy, not trying to be sexy, just really beautiful and refined. I actually get more compliments with this than with louder perfumes because people lean in and ask what smells so fresh. For me it’s super versatile: work, brunch, even warm evenings. If you want an easy signature scent, this is def worth it.
What I love here is how smooth everything feels. The black pepper gives it a nice kick in the opening, then the oud comes through in this deep, silky way with amber keeping it warm. Nothing smells synthetic or messy to me. It’s powerful, yeah, but not overwhelming beast mode where it wears you instead of the other way around. I’ve gotten a few compliments with this too, mostly from people saying I smell rich, which honestly fits. This is def more upscale than casual, but I could still see an oud lover wearing it often. Easy 5 stars from me.
This is one of my favorite Byredos, easy. The bergamot at the top keeps it from feeling too heavy, and then that cacao pod shows up in this dry, almost dusty way that makes it really addictive. Not a gourmand at all, just textured and cozy. Kinda reminds me of the cool-girl side of Santal 33, but creamier and less aggressive. I keep sniffing my wrist when I wear it. Performance is solid on me, not beast mode, but a good 6 hours with a soft cloud. If you like perfumes that feel warm and intimate instead of loud, this is such a good one.
I love this way more than I expected. Oud Zuhal feels warm and spicy in the best way, with pink pepper up top and a glowing amber base that keeps everything smooth. The oud is there, but it’s blended so well that it never turns funky. Kinda reminds me of some Middle Eastern ouds, but this is cleaner and more refined. Super addictive in cold weather and honestly really sexy without being loud in a tacky way. Lasts around 8-10 hours on me, easy. This is one of those scents where I keep sniffing my wrist because it just smells expensive and comforting at the same time.
This is such a clean girl scent before that was even a thing. The rhubarb gives it this sharp little bite up top that I’m obsessed with, and then it settles into a floral-green cloud that smells like actual stems and petals, not shampoo. Super elegant but still easy. I reach for it when I want to smell fresh in a very intentional way, not just “just showered.” It’s not a loud perfume, so if you only like strong projection maybe you’ll want more, but I think it wears beautifully. Around 5-7 hours on me depending on weather. Simple idea, executed perfectly.
This is honestly gorgeous. The opening hits me with black pepper and cardamom, but it never turns harsh or scratchy. After that, the oud comes through in this super smooth, polished way with a warm amber glow underneath. It smells rich without being too dressed up, if that makes sense. Kinda reminds me of the way Amouage can do luxury without going full old-school barnyard oud. I love this because it feels confident and expensive, but still wearable. Performance is excellent too, easily 8-10 hours on me with solid projection for the first few. Def one of those scents where I keep smelling my wrist all day.
I love this one. The peppery opening is so good, especially that black pepper/cardamom combo, and then it settles into a refined oud with amber wrapped around it. Super classy. It doesn’t go sweet like BR540 or rosy like Delina territory at all, which I appreciate. This feels more grown, more tailored, more serious in the best way. There’s something really clean about it even though it’s clearly rich and bold. Projection is strong without being obnoxious, and I still catch it on myself around hour 9. If you want an oud that feels elegant instead of intimidating, this is such an easy recommendation.
Every time I wear this I end up sniffing my wrist all day. The opening has this subtle pepper kick, then it melts into a silky iris/orris cloud with just enough cumin to make it feel sensual. That note combo sounds risky on paper, but in reality it’s beautiful and really balanced. Nothing sharp, nothing messy. Just smooth, grown, confident perfume. I think this is one of Kurkdjian’s most underrated scents tbh. It has a warm, elegant vibe that works in cooler weather especially well, but I’d still wear it on evenings year-round. Not beast mode, but it lasts long enough and feels incredibly classy the whole way through.
I really like this one. It opens a little bright with bergamot, but pretty fast it turns into this soft coconut-musk cloud with a fuzzy cashmeran feel. Not a sunscreen coconut at all, which I appreciate. It’s more cool, slightly dusty, kinda bohemian. The cacao pod in the background gives it a dry, almost bitter twist that keeps it from getting too pretty or sweet. That’s also my only minor issue: it can feel a bit abstract and “blurry,” like the edges never fully sharpen. Still, I keep coming back to it because it feels unique and super wearable. Lasts around 6 hours on me with soft projection. Not beast mode, but honestly that suits the vibe.
This is really nice. I get a peppery kick right away, especially black pepper and cardamom, then it settles into a smooth amber-oud thing that feels rich without going full barnyard. It’s got that classy Amouage vibe, but it’s more wearable than some of their heavier stuff. I love how dry and warm it feels, kinda mysterious but still polished. My only small issue is that the opening can be a little sharp for the first 15 minutes, so I get why some people might bounce off it. After that though, it’s super good. Lasts around 7-8 hours on me with solid projection for the first couple hours.
I really like this one. La Tulipe smells like fresh-cut stems and airy petals more than a big obvious floral perfume, which is probably why I keep reaching for it. The rhubarb in the opening gives it this tart little snap, then the freesia comes in and keeps everything soft and clean. It kinda reminds me of walking into a florist shop, but in a polished Byredo way. My only issue is performance — on me it sits pretty close after a couple hours and I get around 5-6 hours total. Still, it feels elegant, easy, and super wearable when I want something fresh that doesn’t scream for attention.
I really like this one. Slow Dance smells like warm vanilla and incense with that boozy cognac touch floating around in the background, and it gives it a cozy, slightly dramatic vibe. Kinda reminds me of those soft ambery fragrances people wear at night, but this feels darker and more grown. My only small issue is that it can lean a bit powdery on me after a while, so it loses some of that magic from the opening. Still, it’s super nice and easy to wear when you want something intimate and sexy without going full beast mode. Lasts around 6-7 hours on me with pretty soft projection.
