I’m obsessed with this one tbh. A lot of woody/spicy perfumes go too dark or too dense on me, but Desert Rosewood stays refined the whole way through. I get mandarin up top, then cardamom, then this creamy dry woodiness that feels really natural. It kinda reminds me of the polished vibe of something like Portrait of a Lady’s fancy energy, minus the drama and rose overload. Just really wearable luxury. I’ve worn it during the day and at night and it never felt out of place. Lasts around 6-7 hours on my skin, longer on clothes. Not loud in an annoying way, just enough to get noticed.
This one feels like a quiet flex. Not trying too hard, not screaming for attention, just smells really good. I get cardamom first, then this smooth woody body with a soft citrus lift from the mandarin. The balance is what gets me. Nothing feels sharp or messy. It’s elegant but still kinda sexy in that understated way. I’ve had a few woody fragrances that go dry and boring after an hour, but this keeps its shape and stays interesting the whole wear. Projection is solid for the first few hours, then it sits closer and cleaner. Def highly recommended if you want something niche-smelling without being weird or difficult.
This is hands down my favorite from Goldfield & Banks. It smells warm and spicy but also weirdly fresh at the same time, probably from that mandarin/cardamom combo. The wood in here is beautiful. Smooth, slightly dry, no harsh pencil shavings thing that some rosewood scents can do. I love this because it feels unique without being difficult. You don’t have to be in a super specific mood for it. I’ve gotten a few compliments wearing this and one friend said I smelled like a very expensive hotel lobby, which honestly fits. Projection is strong for the first hour or two, then it sits a bit closer. Still lasts most of the day.
Tbh I usually get bored by fresh designer scents, but this one really clicked with me. Y EDT has that bright bergamot opening, but the sage and ginger give it some personality so it doesn’t feel generic. It kinda sits in that mass-appealing lane like Bleu de Chanel, but it’s a little more playful and easier to wear in hot weather. What I love most is how clean it smells without being harsh or overly synthetic. Super approachable, super likable. I’ve gotten random compliments with this more than expected. Lasts around 5-7 hours on me, which is totally fine for an EDT. For the price and versatility, this is honestly excellent.
Tbh this is designer crowd-pleasing done really well. The ginger and bergamot give it a bright kick in the opening, then the apple keeps it crisp and slightly sweet. It kinda reminds me of Bleu de Chanel and Dior Sauvage having a younger, more playful cousin. What I love is how easy it is to wear anywhere: gym, office, dinner, whatever. Minor flaw for me is the performance. It starts out strong enough, but after a couple hours it sits closer to the skin than I want. Still, for the smell alone, I totally get why people compliment this one.
Kinda reminds me of the vibe of a niche summer scent done right—bright, salty, and classy without feeling try-hard. Rosa Limone opens with lemon right away on me, then I get a soft patchouli in the background that keeps it from being too simple. That balance is what makes it special. A lot of fresh perfumes smell amazing for 20 minutes and then disappear, but this one actually sticks around. I got around 6-8 hours and a few unsolicited compliments, which almost never happens with citrus on my skin. It feels super wearable but still unique enough that I wouldn’t confuse it with the usual designer fresh stuff.
Y EDT is nice enough, just not something I ever crave. I get a fresh apple/bergamot thing at the start with a little ginger kick, and it smells clean and easy to wear. No drama, no weirdness, super safe. That said, it also feels a bit generic to me, like designer blue fragrance starter pack. If you already own Sauvage or Dylan Blue, this probably won't blow your mind. Performance is decent on my skin, around 5-6 hours, but projection drops pretty fast. Not bad at all, just one of those "yep, smells good" scents that doesn't really leave a lasting impression.
Def one of the better easy designer wears from YSL. The bergamot pops early, then I get this juicy apple freshness with a soft woody base underneath. Super likable. If you enjoy stuff like Dylan Blue or even a lighter Sauvage, this is in that lane but a bit smoother to me. What I love most is how effortless it feels—just spray and go. No weird rough edges, no overly sweet mess. My only complaint is longevity is just good, not amazing. Around 6 hours on me and projection calms down pretty fast. Still very solid and honestly kinda underrated.
I love this stuff. Desert Rosewood opens with this bright little hit of Sicilian mandarin, but it’s not juicy in a playful way, more like a spark before the deeper woodiness comes in. The cardamom is so smooth here and gives it that dry, slightly exotic warmth without turning dusty. On my skin it feels polished, rich, and super wearable at the same time. Kinda has that niche clean-luxury vibe, but it still has personality. Performance is excellent too, easily 7-8 hours and I keep catching it off my shirt the next day. Honestly one of those fragrances that makes you stand a bit straighter when you wear it.
There’s something really addictive about this. It opens with a bright little pop of Sicilian mandarin, but pretty fast the cardamom and woods take over and it becomes this warm, airy, elegant scent bubble. Not sweet, not heavy, not screechy. Just smooth and sexy in a low-key way. If you like super sugary crowd pleasers, this may feel a bit more mature, but for me that’s exactly why it works. It smells confident. I’d wear this on a date, to dinner, even to work if I go light on sprays. Really nice quality too. On my skin it goes a solid 8 hours and never turns muddy.
This is gorgeous tbh. If a lot of citrus aquatics smell too sharp or generic on you, def try this first. The bergamot and mandarin feel juicy and natural, then that salty marine note comes in and makes it airy instead of screechy. What I really love is that it never turns into detergent or harsh cologne territory. It stays smooth, a little musky, and very easy to wear. I’ve worn it to work and out at night and it just fits both. Not trying to be loud, just effortlessly chic. I get decent projection for the first couple hours and then it sits closer, but it lasts well.
This is a 5/5 for me, no question. It has that warm cardamom glow I’m a total sucker for, and the rosewood accord feels creamy, dry, and expensive. Not loud in an obnoxious way, just really put together. It kinda reminds me of the polished style of some Byredo woods, but this has more depth and better staying power on me. The mandarin in the opening keeps it from getting too heavy, which I really appreciate. I’ve worn it dressed up and also just running around on weekends and it somehow works for both. Super easy to love if you’re into spicy woody scents that still feel refined.
This surprised me. I expected another generic blue scent, but the sage in here gives it a nice aromatic edge and the apple opening is really pleasant. It smells clean, confident, and put together without trying too hard. I love this for spring and warmer office days because it feels crisp instead of heavy. Only reason it’s not a full 5 stars for me is that it doesn’t evolve a ton, and there’s a slightly synthetic vibe in the drydown. Nothing awful though. Just a really solid, attractive daily wear fragrance that gets the job done.
This is one of my favorite fresh scents because it actually has some vibe to it. A lot of clean fragrances just smell like expensive shampoo, but Y EDT has this nice mix of apple, ginger, and a soft woody drydown that makes it feel a bit sexy too. Not loud in an obnoxious way, just polished. I’d wear this on a casual date for sure, especially spring and summer. It gives me that same easy appeal some people get from Sauvage, but this feels smoother and less aggressive. Projection is solid for the first hour or two, then it stays closer. Still, I keep catching whiffs and that’s enough for me. Really love it.
This one didn’t fully hit me on the first spray, but give it a few minutes and wow. The opening has that crisp mandarin sparkle, then the cardamom adds this cool spicy touch before everything melts into silky woods. It’s not trying to be BR540 loud or Delina flashy. Totally different lane. More understated, more chic, and honestly more interesting to me. I love fragrances that feel put together without screaming for attention, and this is exactly that. It wears close-ish after the opening but I still caught it on myself for hours, around 7 total. Super easy recommendation if you want something classy, modern, and a little different.
I love this way more than I expected. The opening is super sparkly with lemon and pink grapefruit, but it’s not just another basic citrus freshie. There’s this salty sea water vibe underneath that makes it feel breezy and expensive, like skin after a beach day but cleaner. On me it stays bright for a while, then the sandalwood smooths everything out without killing the freshness. Honestly kinda addictive. It gives me that polished Mediterranean vacation mood and I keep wanting to smell my wrist. Performance is also really solid for this style, around 7 hours with a nice soft trail. Easy 5/5 for me.
I love this stuff. Y EDT is one of those super easy grabs when I don’t wanna think and still wanna smell really good. The opening gives me a crisp apple/bergamot thing, then that ginger kicks in and keeps it energetic without going shower-gel basic. It smells clean, confident, and just really put together. Kinda youthful, but not immature at all. I’ve worn it to work, dinner, errands, whatever, and it always fits. Performance is better than people say too — I get around 6 hours with decent projection for the first couple. Not trying to reinvent the wheel, just doing the fresh blue style really, really well. Def recommend.
Tbh I don't dislike this. It's crisp, slightly sweet, and really easy to throw on when you don't want to think too hard. The bergamot up top is pleasant and I catch some sage with a light woody drydown. Very clean-guy energy. My issue is it's just kinda bland for the price. It reminds me of a softer, less interesting take on that whole modern blue style, and after the opening it gets pretty basic. Not offensive at all, which is a plus, but definitely not unique. Lasts maybe 6 hours on me with average projection. Decent everyday scent, just nothing special.
I really like this one. Y EDT has that super clean apple + bergamot thing up top that just makes it easy to wear without thinking too hard. It feels youthful but not immature, kinda like a polished shower-fresh vibe with a little sage keeping it from being too basic. Not the most unique fragrance ever, and yeah it can lean a bit synthetic if you smell closely, but in the air it works really well. I get around 5-6 hours, which is decent for an EDT. This is one of those scents I reach for when I want to smell good and not risk offending anybody.
Tbh I expected way more from Y EDT. The opening has that nice apple and bergamot freshness, and there’s a little ginger kick that keeps it lively for a minute, but then it just turns into a generic shower-gel scent on my skin. Not offensive, just really bland. It reminds me of those mass-appeal blue fragrances that try to be everything at once and end up saying nothing. Performance was also a letdown for me—pretty weak projection after the first hour and then it sits super close to the skin. I don’t hate it, but for the hype and price, this felt kinda boring and forgettable.
