Oud Velvet Mood is not a cozy vanilla oud type thing, so don’t blind buy expecting that. It’s more saffron, leather, and deep woody oud with a slightly resinous feel. I think it smells very elegant and almost formal, like something you wear when you want to seem put together and intimidating lol. The quality is obvious, no cheap synthetic screech. That said, I have to be in the mood because it can feel a little stiff and mature. Still, when it works, it really works.
This one is def a statement perfume. I get mostly frankincense, leather, and a boozy fruity thing that makes it feel really luxurious. It’s not pretty in a Delina way, more like mysterious and dramatic. I love that it doesn’t smell like everything else at the mall. That said, it can be a little too dense if I overspray, and one spray is honestly enough for me. Lasts forever on clothes. Very good, just needs the right mood and weather.
This one surprised me because I expected a harsh oud bomb, but it’s actually pretty wearable. The leather is smooth, not biker jacket sharp, and the peach gives it a weird soft fruitiness that I really like. It’s dark, warm, and a little mysterious, like a fancy hotel lobby at night. I wouldn’t wear this to the office unless I sprayed super light, but for dinner or a night out it’s perfect. Lasts forever on clothes. The drydown gets a bit heavy on me, but still very good.
Overture 41 Woman smells like someone wearing a velvet dress in a fancy old hotel lobby lol. I really love the cinnamon and saffron here, it’s spicy without turning into candle territory. There’s also this leathery depth that makes it feel very Amouage. I wouldn’t wear this to brunch or the office, it’s too much for that imo. But for cold nights it’s beautiful. 4 stars because it’s stunning, just not something I’d reach for often.
I like this a lot, but I don’t think it’s a masterpiece. The bergamot opening is bright and peppery, then patchouli comes in and gives it that darker classy edge. It smells expensive for sure, no cheap screechy stuff here. Still, for Amouage pricing I wanted a little more drama. Performance is solid but not beast mode, maybe 6 hours before it sits closer. Very easy to wear though, and I can see this getting compliments.
This is really nice, very polished in that Amouage way but not too loud or weird. I get a lot of cardamom and pink pepper at the start, then it settles into this smooth woody vanilla thing. Super wearable for an Amouage, honestly. My only issue is the opening feels a bit busy for the first 20 minutes, like it’s trying to show off. After that it’s great though. Lasts around 7-8 hours on me with moderate projection.
This is spice perfection. Nutmeg can sometimes smell dusty to me, but here it’s creamy and warm with sandalwood underneath. There’s a soft leather edge too that makes the whole thing feel smooth and expensive. I wouldn’t call it a safe blind buy because it has personality, but if you love warm spicy scents, wow. It has that “what are you wearing?” factor without being obnoxious. Lasts easily 7-9 hours on my skin. I’d wear this on a cold night, sweater weather, drinks, anything cozy but a little fancy.
I didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. The vanilla is not sweet cupcake vanilla at all, it’s resinous and dark, mixed with labdanum and a bit of patchouli. It feels warm, slightly dirty, and very grown up. Kinda reminds me of those big vintage-style orientals, but cleaner and smoother. Projection is strong for the first few hours, then it settles into this cozy smoky skin scent. Tiny complaint: the opening is a bit loud and chaotic, but the drydown is gorgeous.

Projection is strong for the first few hours so go easy. Minus one star because it’s def not versatile and the price is painful, but the scent itself is beautiful.
