Poets of Berlin is so good tbh. On me, the vanilla is the star, but it’s not bakery vanilla. The vetiver keeps it dry and a little green, and that blueberry in the opening makes it feel modern instead of basic. Kinda gives me the same addictive pull Delina has, even though they smell nothing alike. This one is softer, cooler, less dressed up. I think that’s why I love it so much. It works in daytime, date night, whatever. People around me noticed it without it going full beast mode. Super easy to wear, but still special enough that I don’t confuse it with everything else in my collection.
I wasn’t expecting to be this into a blueberry perfume, but wow. The opening is bright and juicy with a little lemon, then it settles into this creamy sandalwood base that feels expensive and cozy at the same time. It’s sweet, but not in a teen body spray way at all. More like a chic sweater in perfume form. I also love that it has personality. A lot of fruity vanillas just blur together for me, but this has its own vibe. Lasted about 6-7 hours on my skin and even longer on clothes. If you want something playful but still niche and refined, I’d highly recommend this.
I’m obsessed with this one tbh. Stockholm 1978 has this really chic contrast where the lemon keeps it crisp while the almond and black amber make it warm and almost snuggly. It doesn’t smell sweet in a basic way, and it doesn’t go too earthy either — it just sits in that perfect in-between space. Kinda reminds me of the vibe of some Byredo scents, but richer and more put together. I’ve worn it out at night and also during the day, and it somehow works both times. Projection is noticeable but not beast mode, which I actually like. Feels expensive, modern, and super easy to love.
Fortuitous Finley smells like someone in a great coat who absolutely has their life together. The cardamom is what grabbed me first, then I started noticing the violet leaf giving it this green, cool edge over the leather and patchouli base. It never turns muddy or old-school, which I really appreciate because leather fragrances can go wrong fast on my skin. This stays sleek the whole time. It’s strong enough to be noticed but not beast mode, which honestly makes it more versatile. If you like classy spicy scents but don’t want something boring, this is such a winner.
This is basically what I wish a lot of niche woody scents smelled like. The saffron and cedar combo is amazing here — dry, warm, a little edgy, but still really refined. I get some oud, but it never goes funky or medicinal, which is usually where these kinds of scents lose me. Not my thing? Usually oud. But this one totally works. It kinda reminds me of the sleekness of Baccarat Rouge 540’s saffron vibe, just without the sugary amber cloud. Much drier, smokier, more grown. I’ve worn this on nights out and gotten a bunch of compliments. Easy 5/5 for me.
This is one of those scents that just makes me happy. The blueberry-vanilla combo is gorgeous, and the sandalwood in the drydown keeps it from getting too sweet or syrupy. I get why people hype this one. It’s a little artsy, a little cozy, and really easy to wear without being boring. If BR540 is all projection and gloss, this feels more intimate and textured. Still gets compliments though. I’ve worn it in spring and fall and it shines in both. Not nuclear, but definitely not weak either. For me it’s the perfect balance of fun and polished, and I’d absolutely repurchase.
This is one of those fragrances that made me stop and go wow on first wear. The black pepper is gorgeous here — dry, textured, a little sharp — and then the oakmoss and patchouli pull it into this green, slightly vintage-feeling base that never gets dusty. There’s something very confident about it. Not loud, just really well composed. If you like stuff that feels more interesting than the usual sweet crowd-pleasers, this is absolutely worth trying. I get solid longevity, like 6-7 hours, and it stays classy the whole time. Honestly I love that it feels distinctive without becoming difficult. Super easy recommendation.
This is so good. Right away I get that cool cardamom hit with black pepper, then the leather comes in and makes it feel polished instead of rough. It’s spicy, smooth, and a little mysterious without trying too hard. Kinda reminds me of the more refined side of Ombre Leather, but less loud and way more wearable. The violet leaf keeps it from getting too heavy, which I love. On me it lasts around 7-8 hours with solid projection for the first couple. Honestly one of those scents that makes you stand a little straighter. Def a 5/5 for me.
Smoke Show feels really expensive on skin. The opening is spicy with pink pepper, then that vetiver comes in and makes everything feel crisp and a little earthy, while the cedar keeps it smooth. What I really love is that it never turns harsh. A lot of smoky perfumes get too loud or too dirty on me, but this stays elegant the whole time. It has presence for sure, just not in an obnoxious way. I get about 6-7 hours with a soft trail after the first couple hours. Super easy to recommend if you want something smoky and woody that still feels clean and put together.
I love this stuff. The blueberry note sounds gimmicky on paper, but here it’s smooth, airy, and kinda addictive. It opens fruity with a little lemon sparkle, then dries down into this creamy vanilla-sandalwood thing that feels super polished. Not a sugar bomb at all. It actually reminds me a tiny bit of what people wanted from a niche fruity-gourmand, but way more tasteful and grown. I keep smelling my wrist when I wear it. Performance is really solid too, around 7-8 hours on me with a nice scent bubble for the first few. Def one of those perfumes that feels unique without trying too hard.
At first I thought this would be just another spicy citrus thing, but nope. The lemon disappears pretty fast on me and then it turns into this beautiful almond-amber skin scent with a soft earthy edge from the patchouli. It’s subtle in a really addictive way. Not shouting for attention, just smelling amazing every time you catch it. I kept sniffing my wrist all day. If Delina is the dressed-up extrovert, this is the cooler, more understated friend in a great coat. Lasted about 8 hours on my skin, closer after the first two. I love this because it feels intimate, stylish, and a little unconventional.
This one is just ridiculously well done. The leather is soft and luxe, not smoky or harsh, and the black pepper gives it enough edge to keep it interesting. There’s also this little flash of star anise that makes it feel different from the usual spicy-leather crowd. I wouldn’t compare it to BR540 or Delina at all, but it has that same instantly recognizable quality where people ask what you’re wearing. Super classy, kinda sexy, and very confident. I get about 6-7 hours, better on clothes. Pricey, yeah, but tbh this actually smells expensive in the best way.
I love this one way more than I expected. The opening is snappy and aromatic, with star anise and black pepper giving it this crisp bite, but then it settles into a really handsome leather scent. Not sweet, not overly dark, just super put together. It has that expensive Penhaligon’s vibe where everything feels blended really well. Tbh this is the kind of fragrance that works on a dinner date but also wouldn’t feel weird in the office if you go light on sprays. Lasts a full workday on me too. Really elegant stuff and super easy to recommend.
This is so good. The opening hits me with black pepper and lemon, but it’s not harsh or screechy at all — just bright and a little sparkly. Then the almond comes in and makes everything feel creamy and smooth without turning dessert-y. I love how the mossy, slightly shadowy drydown keeps it grown and interesting. It kinda gives me that niche “what is that?” effect without trying too hard. Super wearable but still memorable. On me it lasts around 7-8 hours with really nice scent trails for the first few. Def one of those perfumes that feels polished, cool, and a little mysterious. Easy 5 stars for me.
This is so good. Smoke Show has that spicy saffron hit up top with a little pink pepper sparkle, then it settles into this dry woody cloud with cedar and oud that feels super polished instead of rough. It kinda gives me the confidence boost I get from wearing something like Oud Wood, but this feels darker and more interesting to me. I love how the smoke effect is there without turning ashy or heavy. Just smooth, sexy, expensive-smelling stuff. Performance is excellent too — I get around 7-8 hours easy and people definitely notice it. If you like woody spicy scents with a sleek edge, I def recommend this.
Really like this one. Fortuitous Finley opens with a nice hit of cardamom and black pepper, then that smooth leather comes in and gives it a classy, slightly mysterious vibe. It feels very Penhaligon’s to me—polished, a little quirky, but still easy to wear. The only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is the drydown gets a touch flat after a while, like the sparkle from the opening fades too soon. Still, I think it smells super elegant and a bit sexy without trying too hard. Lasts around 6-7 hours on me with moderate projection. Def more of a cool weather scent, but I’d happily wear it on a night out or even dressed up at the office.
I love this one way more than I expected. The vetiver in here keeps the oud from getting too thick, and the pink pepper gives it this cool modern lift in the opening. It smells smoky, but not campfire smoky — more like a tailored black jacket kind of smoky, if that makes sense. Super wearable for something with this vibe. Tbh a lot of darker perfumes try too hard and end up muddy, but Smoke Show stays clean and sharp the whole way through. Lasts most of the day on me with really solid projection for the first few hours. It feels special but still easy to wear.
Instant 5/5. This is one of those perfumes that feels unique from the first spray without trying too hard. The pepper gives it a little bite, the lemon keeps it bright, and then that dark amber-patchouli base makes it feel sexy and a bit mysterious. I honestly can’t think of many scents that do this spicy/fresh/warm thing so smoothly. Some perfumes with almond go too makeup-y on me, but not here at all. It just adds softness. Lasted most of the day on my jacket and around 7 hours on skin. If you want something niche that still feels very wearable, this is a really good one.
I really like this one. The opening has that bright lemon snap with a little black pepper bite, then it settles into something smoother and moodier with the almond peeking through. It feels polished but not boring, kinda like a dressed-up everyday scent. The oakmoss/amber base gives it a slightly vintage touch, which I actually love, but I can see that being the one minor flaw for people who want something more modern or clean. Performance is solid on me, around 6-7 hours, with moderate projection. Not beast mode, but def noticeable. Super wearable and a little different from the usual sweet crowd.
I really like this one. The opening hits me with saffron and pink pepper right away, then it settles into this dry woody mix with cedar and a smooth oud that never gets too funky. It’s got that dark, slightly mysterious vibe, but it’s not some super challenging smoke bomb. Kinda feels like a dressed-up, cleaner take on a woody spicy scent. My only small issue is that I wanted a little more depth in the drydown because it stays pretty linear on my skin. Still, it smells classy and a bit sexy without trying too hard. Lasts around 6-7 hours on me with solid projection for the first couple hours.
