Really nice scent, just not a 10/10 for me. The bergamot opening is crisp and expensive smelling, and I love how the tonka softens everything later without making it sweet or heavy. It kinda reminds me of those designer blue fragrances, but more refined and less loud. My only issue is that it feels a little familiar after the first 20 minutes. Still, it’s super wearable and smells clean in a confident way. On my skin it lasts about 6 hours, closer to skin near the end. Def something I’d wear a lot, just maybe not at full retail.

This gives me luxury racing jacket vibes lol. The mandarin hits first, juicy and sharp, then the pink pepper makes it feel kinda energetic. I was worried it would be basic citrus, but the vetiver keeps it more grown up and a bit dry. It’s not groundbreaking, and for Ex Nihilo prices I do want a little more wow factor, but honestly it smells really good. Clean, modern, easy compliment type of thing. I’d wear this to the office, brunch, airport, pretty much anywhere. Lasting power is decent, projection calms down after the first hour.

This is decent, but I expected something more exciting with a name like Living on the Edge. The opening is nice and bright with mandarin and bergamot, kinda sporty and clean, then it dries down into a soft vetiver/tonka thing. Pleasant for sure, but also a bit safe and forgettable. It feels like a luxury gym fragrance or something you'd wear with a white tee and sneakers. Performance is okay on me, around 5-6 hours, but projection gets pretty quiet after the first hour. Not bad at all, just not worth Ex Nihilo prices imo.

Matsukita is such a vibe. I get nutmeg, balsam fir, and amber mostly, and it gives this warm forest-lounge feeling… like cashmere sweater, cold air, very expensive hotel lobby. It’s not sweet or trendy, which I really appreciate. Kinda reminds me of the elegance of something like Roja, but less dramatic and more wearable. The blend is insanely smooth, no scratchy woods or harsh spice. Projection is moderate but it lasts forever on my skin. 5/5 because I’d wear this anywhere I wanted to feel put together.
