Tbh I’m picky with Jo Malone because some of them vanish in like an hour, but Iris & White Musk really surprised me. It has that airy Jo Malone style, but with actual depth. The white musk is beautiful, the vanilla is soft and not cupcake-y, and the floral part feels smooth instead of old-fashioned. Kinda gives me the vibe of clean cashmere, polished makeup, and warm skin. Not a dupe for anything obvious, which I appreciate. It lasts most of the workday on my clothes too.
I love this so much. It’s one of those Jo Malone scents that feels quiet but expensive, like clean skin with a fancy floral haze around it. The white musk is super smooth, not laundry detergent-ish, and the vanilla gives it this soft creamy warmth without turning sweet. I get a bit of Casablanca lily too, but it’s not loud or headachey. Just elegant and glowy. Performance is actually better than I expected for Jo Malone, around 6-7 hours on me, mostly close but noticeable. Def a 5/5 for me.
Oboro feels very Byredo: simple, airy, a little artsy, and slightly overpriced lol. I enjoy the ginger and black pepper opening a lot, it’s sparkling and crisp without smelling like shower gel. The amber comes in later and softens everything, but it never turns heavy or cozy. More fresh-spicy than warm. I’d give it a solid 4 because it’s beautiful and easy to wear, but I wish it had more staying power and a stronger signature. If you like subtle niche scents that don’t scream, this is def worth testing.
Gladiator Extrait is one of those scents that smells expensive right away. The green apple is tart, not candy-like, and the bergamot gives it a super clean sparkle. After a while I get more cedar and patchouli leaf, so it turns drier and a little earthy. I love the contrast, but tbh the opening can be a bit sharp if you overspray. Two sprays is perfect for me. It feels more spring/summer daytime than night out. Not a masterpiece, but really well made and very wearable.
I really like Oboro. It opens with this bright bergamot and ginger thing that feels clean but not boring, then the black pepper gives it a nice little bite. Very Byredo in that airy, polished way. It’s not a loud perfume at all, more like a sleek scent bubble, so don’t expect beast mode. On me it lasts around 6 hours, mostly close to skin after the first hour. Minor complaint: it could use a bit more depth for the price, but I still think it smells super easy to wear and kinda addictive.
Gladiator Extrait opens super bright on me, like green apple squeezed with bergamot and a little bitter orange peel. It’s fresh but not basic shower gel fresh, more sharp and polished. I love how it has this crisp masculine-leaning edge without going full blue fragrance. The drydown gets a bit woody and smoother, but I kinda wish the juicy opening lasted longer because that’s the best part. Performance is solid, around 7 hours, projection is noticeable but not obnoxious. Very easy to wear, just a little pricey for what it is.

Okay this one surprised me. I expected something heavy and intense, but Cavort is actually super balanced. The davana gives this slightly boozy fruity twist in the opening, then the incense and sandalwood make it creamy and smoky. It’s cozy but also kinda sexy, like a cashmere sweater at a fancy bar. I’ve tried a lot of spicy woody niche scents and many get too harsh, but this stays smooth the whole time. Longevity is excellent on my skin, around 9 hours. Highly recommend sampling at least.
This is the kind of scent I wear when I want to feel unstoppable. The geranium gives it a slightly aromatic freshness at first, then the saffron and sandalwood come in and it gets warm, smooth, and kinda seductive. I wouldn’t call it loud-loud, but people near you will notice. It feels unisex in the best way, not leaning too sweet or too masculine. Also really well blended, nothing pokes out weirdly. 5/5 for me because it’s interesting but still easy to wear.

The white musk is the star for me, very clean and silky, and the vanilla sits underneath making everything feel plush. I don’t usually go crazy for lily notes because they can get too sharp, but here the Casablanca lily is creamy and refined. It feels perfect for date night or a nice dinner when you don’t want to overpower the room.
