Amouage Guidance is the most popular women’s perfume in Scento’s European orders for October 2025 to September 2026, followed by Guidance 46 and Valaya by Parfums de Marly.1 The ranking counts paid decant orders by catalogue gender label, not editors’ opinions, and Germany, Italy and France share the same top five.
- The top three are Guidance, Guidance 46 and Valaya, in that order.1
- Germany, Italy and France fill their feminine top five with the same five perfumes, in a different order each time.1
- 19 of the women’s top 25 come from niche houses, by the catalogue’s own classification.2
- A 2 ml decant of any top-10 perfume costs between 6,90 € and 17,90 €, so trying one is far cheaper than buying a bottle.2

The 10 most popular women’s perfumes of 2026
Scento is a European perfume decant retailer with 1000+ fragrances in 2 ml, 5 ml and 8 ml vials, plus a 30 ml bottle decant on most perfumes. Its own paid orders, from customers across 26 EU countries, make up the Scento Fragrance Index.1 Gender here follows the label each perfume carries in Scento’s catalogue, so a perfume ranked as feminine is simply one the catalogue labels that way. The table lists the top 15, with the 2 ml retail price checked on 12 October 2026 and a note of which perfumes sit in the German, Italian and French top five.2

Guidance by Amouage
The most-ordered feminine perfume across Europe opens with pear, hazelnut and olibanum. Osmanthus, rose and saffron form the heart, settling into sandalwood and vanilla. The catalogue labels it feminine, though many men wear it too. Guidance as a 2 ml decant (12,90 €)
Guidance 46 by Amouage
Second in the ranking, it starts with rose water, pear and hazelnut. The heart of osmanthus, rose and saffron leads to a base of sandalwood and vanilla. Guidance 46 as a 2 ml decant (16,45 €)
Valaya by Parfums de Marly
Aldehydes, white peach and bergamot open Valaya, with orange blossom and lily-of-the-valley at the heart. It dries down to musk and vanilla, a soft and clean finish. Valaya as a 2 ml decant (10,95 €)
Musk Therapy by Initio
White musk, blackcurrant and bergamot lead into a heart of magnolia and hedione. White sandalwood carries the base. Musk Therapy as a 2 ml decant (9,95 €)
Delina by Parfums de Marly
Lychee, rhubarb and bergamot give a bright, fruity start. Turkish rose and peony sit in the heart, above a base of cashmeran, incense and vetiver. Delina as a 2 ml decant (12,95 €)
Delina Exclusif by Parfums de Marly
This variation keeps the lychee but adds pear and grapefruit at the top. Turkish rose is joined by oud and incense in the heart, and the base turns to vanilla and amber. Delina Exclusif as a 2 ml decant (12,95 €)
Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle
Clove, raspberry and blackcurrant open this perfume, with Turkish rose, incense and patchouli at its core. Musk and benzoin close it out, a richer and more resinous register than most of the list. Portrait of a Lady as a 2 ml decant (15,90 €)
Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi
Passionfruit, peach and raspberry give Kirke a juicy opening, with lily-of-the-valley in the heart. The base blends musk, vanilla and patchouli. At 6,90 € for a 2 ml decant, it is the lowest-priced perfume in the top 10. Kirke as a 2 ml decant (6,90 €)
Love Don’t Be Shy by By Kilian
Neroli, bergamot and pink pepper open the perfume, with orange blossom, honeysuckle and jasmine in the heart. Sugar, vanilla, caramel and musk make up a sweet base. Love Don’t Be Shy as a 2 ml decant (14,90 €)
Lost Cherry by Tom Ford
Bitter almond, black cherry and cherry liqueur lead, followed by sour cherry and rose. Vanilla and tonka form the base. The catalogue classes Tom Ford as a designer house, and Lost Cherry is the highest-priced 2 ml in the top 10 at 17,90 €. Lost Cherry as a 2 ml decant (17,90 €)
Ranks 11 to 15 are Hundred Silent Ways by Nishane, Good Girl Gone Bad by By Kilian, Aventus for Her by Creed, Intense Cafe by Montale and Prada Paradoxe by Prada, each linked in the table above. Ranks 16 to 25 are Love Delight (Amouage), Coco Vanille (Mancera), Delina La Rosée (Parfums de Marly), Libre (Yves Saint Laurent), Goddess (Burberry), Lira (Xerjoff), Marfa (Memo Paris), Musc Noir Rose For Her (Narciso Rodriguez), Soleil Blanc (Tom Ford) and Atomic Rose (Initio).1
Germany, Italy and France: the same five favourites in a different order
Only Germany, Italy and France publish a feminine top five. In all three, the five places go to the same five perfumes: Guidance, Guidance 46, Valaya, Musk Therapy and Delina.1 Only the order changes.
- Germany: Guidance, Guidance 46, Valaya, Delina, Musk Therapy.1
- Italy: Guidance, Guidance 46, Valaya, Musk Therapy, Delina.1
- France: Guidance, Guidance 46, Musk Therapy, Valaya, Delina.1
Guidance holds first place and Guidance 46 holds second in every one of the three. France is the only country that puts Musk Therapy above Valaya, and Italy places Musk Therapy above Delina where Germany does not.
Greece and Romania have no published feminine list. Their cells were withheld because the sample was too small, so there is no ranking to show for either country.1
Unisex favourites women are wearing
Half of all decants ordered were unisex-labelled perfumes, against 20 % for feminine-labelled and 30 % for masculine-labelled.1 A ranking of feminine labels alone therefore leaves out a large share of what is ordered. These are the top 10 unisex perfumes with the 2 ml retail price:1
- Ombre Nomade by Louis Vuitton, 18,90 €
- Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, 17,90 €
- Pacific Chill by Louis Vuitton, 14,90 €
- Blue Talisman by Ex Nihilo, 13,90 €
- Bianco Latte by Giardini di Toscana, 7,50 €
- Symphony by Louis Vuitton, 19,90 €
- Erba Pura by Xerjoff, 9,90 €
- Angels’ Share by By Kilian, 16,90 €
- Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford, 14,90 €
- Side Effect by Initio, 9,95 €
The country unisex number ones differ: Symphony in Germany, Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait in Italy and Greece, Ombre Nomade in France and Angels’ Share in Romania.1 The catalogue labels Baccarat Rouge 540 unisex, and its Extrait is second among unisex perfumes.1
Niche or designer? What the women’s top 25 shows
By the catalogue’s house classification, 19 of the women’s top 25 are niche.2 The six designer entries are Lost Cherry, Paradoxe, Libre, Goddess, Musc Noir Rose and Soleil Blanc. Tom Ford is classed as designer in the catalogue, which is why both Lost Cherry and Soleil Blanc fall on that side.2
The wider picture points the same way. Across all genders, niche houses took 65 % of decants, up from 61 % in the first half of the window to 66 % in the second (index 108).1 Amouage, Parfums de Marly and Initio account for the first five places in the women’s list, and all five are niche.
What the rest of the world buys
Public sales data from retailers and manufacturers is a useful comparison for the Scento order ranking.
- In Europe, L’Oréal: “L’Oréal holds the top 3 positions in female fragrances with Libre, La Vie est Belle and Paradoxe.”3 In Scento’s women’s list, Paradoxe is number 15, Libre is number 19 and La Vie est Belle is not in the top 25.1
- Sephora US: Kayali’s Yum Boujee Marshmallow “moved up from the No. 2 spot in 2024 to become the top-selling fragrance at Sephora year-to-date, snagging an estimated $11 million-plus in omnichannel sales”, according to YipitData for January to August 2025.4
- Boots UK: Versace Woman EDP was “the bestselling feminine fragrance this year” in 2025.5
- US prestige fragrance: sales grew 6 % in the first half of 2026, with “average prices rising +5 % while unit sales remained flat”.6
The Sephora and Boots charts come from the US and the UK, and the L’Oréal claim comes from a manufacturer. Scento’s ranking is built from paid decant orders across Europe, where niche houses fill most of the top 25. For mixed-gender market data, see our best-selling perfumes statistics.
How to try a top-10 perfume before buying a bottle
A decant lets you wear a perfume for a few days before you commit to a full bottle. The 2 ml vial is the most popular choice: it was 76 % of all decant units.1 The 5 ml size was 11 %, the 8 ml size was 9,5 % and the smallest size, 0.75 ml, was 2,5 %. The 30 ml share was withheld.1
A 2 ml decant of the top 10 ranges from 6,90 € (Kirke) to 17,90 € (Lost Cherry).2 Decants are hand-poured from original full-size bottles bought through authorised retail channels, with no dilution, and delivery is tracked and free over 75 €. If you want to see everything the women’s shelf holds, browse the best sellers for women.
More ways to choose
This page ranks by what people ordered. Other guides answer different questions:
- For a pick by decade, see modern picks for your 20s, sophisticated picks for your 30s and refined picks for your 40s. For the overall order ranking, see this page.
- For staying power, see long-lasting perfumes for women and long-lasting designer fragrances.

How we compiled this
The ranking comes from the Scento Fragrance Index, October 2025 to September 2026. Ranks are by paid decant units (0.75, 2, 5, 8 and 30 ml) in Scento orders shipped across Europe. Cancelled, unpaid, free, gift-card and staff orders are excluded.
Gender follows the label each perfume carries in Scento’s catalogue (by catalogue gender label), so both Amouage Guidance perfumes appear as feminine. A ranked perfume must clear a minimum number of separate orders, and country lists appear only where all five places clear it. Small-sample cells are withheld. We publish ranks and shares, never order counts. Prices are 2 ml retail on 12 October 2026, and notes come from the Scento catalogue.

Respondemos a tus preguntas
- What is the most popular women's perfume in 2026?
- In Scento's European orders it is Amouage Guidance, followed by Guidance 46 and Valaya by Parfums de Marly. In Europe, L'Oréal says it holds the top three women's fragrance positions with Libre, La Vie est Belle and Paradoxe. The two views differ because one ranks paid decant orders across Europe and the other is L'Oréal's own claim about its European fragrance sales.
- Is this list different from best-seller lists?
- Yes. Retail charts are mostly led by the US or the UK and dominated by designer brands. This list ranks paid orders across Europe by catalogue gender label, and 19 of the top 25 come from niche houses. It publishes ranks and shares only, never order counts.
- Which women's perfume is most popular in Germany, Italy and France?
- Guidance by Amouage is number one in all three countries, and Guidance 46 is number two in each. The same five perfumes fill every top five: Guidance, Guidance 46, Valaya, Musk Therapy and Delina. Only the order of places three to five changes from one country to the next.
- Should women consider unisex perfumes?
- Half of all decants ordered at Scento were unisex-labelled perfumes, against 20% feminine-labelled and 30% masculine-labelled. Ombre Nomade by Louis Vuitton and Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait lead the unisex list. Many women order from that shelf, so it is worth browsing alongside the feminine ranking.
- Is Baccarat Rouge 540 a women's perfume?
- Scento's catalogue labels it unisex, so it sits in the unisex ranking rather than the feminine one. Its Extrait is number two among unisex perfumes in the Scento Fragrance Index, behind Ombre Nomade by Louis Vuitton. Gender labels describe how a perfume is catalogued, not who may wear it.
- What is the lowest-cost way to try these perfumes?
- A 2 ml decant, which is the size most people choose: it was 76% of all decant units. Prices for the top 10 run from €6.90 for Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi to €17.90 for Lost Cherry by Tom Ford, checked on 12 October 2026. That is far less than a full bottle.
- Is Amouage Guidance a feminine perfume?
- It ranks in this list because Scento's catalogue labels it feminine, and Guidance 46 carries the same label. The ranking follows the catalogue gender label rather than any rule about who should wear a perfume, and many men wear Guidance too.
