Armani Stronger With You Parfum Review: Notes and Longevity

Emporio Armani Stronger With You Parfum is the darker, leathery version of Armani’s chestnut-vanilla line: mandarin and pink pepper open, lavender and sage follow, and a base of chestnut accord, bourbon vanilla and leather remains.¹ One wear test reports 7+ hours, and it suits autumn, winter and early spring.²

Notes and how it smells

Armani lists mandarin and pink pepper as the top notes, lavender and sage in the heart, and leathery vanilla with a chestnut accord in the base.¹ The house describes it as “Intertwining the signature chestnut accord with a spicy and warm leathered vanilla, this smooth scent leaves an unforgettable impression of unity and strength.”¹

The base is where this version departs from the rest of the line. Armani writes that the “Stronger With You signature sugar-coated chestnut accord … fuses with vanilla bourbon premium … empowered by a leather accord brings the base its soft, velvety texture.”¹ It also says that “The scent is defined by its leather accord, in which its soft, velvety effect creates the newest enthralling facet of STRONGER WITH YOU.”¹

Andrew Radford of Viora London puts it in plainer terms: “Roasted chestnut combines with vanilla and a darker leather accord, giving it a richer, more mature feel than some of its sweeter Stronger With You siblings.”² If you enjoy chestnut as a note, the chestnut note page lists other perfumes built around it.

The bottle follows the same colour story. Armani says the flacon is “dressed in a graduated lacquering with a deep, ambery tone”, with a “blackened silver cap” and an “interlacing rings motif”.¹ Armani beauty also says it has “decided to reveal 95% of the fragrance formula”, keeping the remaining 5% as the perfumer’s secret.¹

The campaign broke in January 2025 with the actor Nicholas Galitzine, and WWD describes the scent as “part of a franchise begun in 2017 by Armani beauty, which is licensed to L’Oréal.”⁵ The first Stronger With You, an eau de toilette, was introduced “on June 1 in France and the U.S.” in 2017.⁷

Longevity and projection

Reports on how long it lasts do not agree, and that is the honest answer. Viora London’s wear test found “Performance is respectable, lasting 7+ hours with a noticeable projection that gradually settles as the fragrance develops.”² A personal review on When I’m Older reports the opposite experience: the reviewer’s partner “reported back that it does lack longevity and tends to fade throughout the day”.⁸

Climate and fabric matter too. FragFreak, writing about Indian heat, gives the Parfum “6-8 hrs on skin, longer on fabric”.⁹

Concentration sets a rough expectation, not a promise. DermNet gives typical ranges of 20–30% fragrance for a parfum, 15–20% for an eau de parfum and 5–15% for an eau de toilette.⁶ DSM-Firmenich’s Rachael Larsen told Good Housekeeping that parfum is “typically staying on skin for six to eight hours or more”, while eau de parfum is “generally lasting four to six hours”.¹⁰ Armani does not publish a percentage for this perfume, so those ranges describe the type, not this bottle.

The same Viora London tester wrote “I get 7 hours of wear” about Stronger With You Intensely, an eau de parfum, which shows how close the two can sit on one person.² Skin chemistry, the amount sprayed and where you spray all move the result. Emporio Armani Stronger With You Intensely

Armani sells Intensely as an eau de parfum, with pink pepper, lavender, amber wood and vanilla alongside a sugared chestnut accord and a suede accord.³ It launched “at the beginning of 2019” as “the first flankers of the originals”.¹² The Parfum swaps suede for leather and adds mandarin at the top.¹ Parfum is the higher concentration class on paper, but one tester got similar wear time from both (7 hours against 7+).² In Scento’s Fragrance Index (October 2025 to September 2026, ranked by paid decant units among perfumes labelled masculine), Intensely is the number 23 most-bought masculine perfume across Europe. The 2 ml decant costs €1 more than the Parfum.

Emporio Armani Stronger With You Absolutely

Absolutely is also a parfum, built on a rum accord with lavender, cedar wood and vanilla.⁴ It was announced as “a new version of the men’s edition for February 2021”.¹³ Where Absolutely leans on rum and cedar, the Parfum leans on leather and chestnut.¹ It is also the lowest-priced 30 ml in the line at Scento today, at €58.90.

Emporio Armani Stronger With You Powerfully

Powerfully is an eau de parfum¹¹ with a cherry accord and mandarin on top, lavender and a spice accord in the heart, and vanilla, amberywood and a chestnut accord underneath.¹⁴ Armani’s own claim for Powerfully is “a new level of intensity, amplified by a 24-hour long-lastingness”; that claim is made for Powerfully only, not for the Parfum.¹⁴

Emporio Armani Stronger With You, the original

The 2017 original is an eau de toilette.¹¹ A secondary review describes its notes as a pink pepper accord, sage essence and candied chestnut accord.⁸ In 2017, WWD reported that industry sources estimated the men’s scent would “ring up 100 million euros … in first-year retail sales worldwide”, an estimate made before launch.⁷ The Parfum keeps the chestnut and vanilla and adds the leather. Its 30 ml costs €61.90 at Scento, against €65.90 for the Parfum.

Who it suits and when to wear it

Viora London places it “throughout autumn, winter and into early spring”, and adds that the same traits “stop it from being a true year-round fragrance”.² FragFreak points to “Formal evenings, cooler months”.⁹ The When I’m Older review calls it “one of my fiancé’s favorite date night colognes”.⁸

It suits people who like warm, sweet fragrances but find the dessert end of the line too much. The leather accord and the lavender-sage heart give the sweetness an edge. If you like its warmth, also smell

Two perfumes from other houses share some of the mood. They are neighbours, not stand-ins, and each smells distinctly its own.

Jean Paul Gaultier lists Le Male Elixir with “Lavender . Tonka Bean . Benzoin” and calls it “woody aromatic amber”.¹⁵ Le Male Elixir as a 2 ml decant (€6.90)

Viktor&Rolf describes Spicebomb Extreme as “Aromatic lavender meets tantalizing pepper and saffron, while a rich fusion of tobacco, bourbon, and warm vanilla”.¹⁶ Spicebomb Extreme as a 2 ml decant (€10.90)

How to try it before a bottle

Armani beauty UK shows list prices of £83.00 for 50 ml and £112.00 for 100 ml (read 4 November 2026).¹ Fragrantica reported the sizes as “available in 50ml and 100ml bottles in Parfum concentration”, and the 50 ml is also listed on armani.com.^17,18 On Armani beauty USA’s collection page the Parfum is priced at $145.00, against $130 for Intensely and Powerfully and $135 for Absolutely.¹¹

Scento is a European perfume decant retailer that sells 1,000+ fragrances in 2 ml, 5 ml and 8 ml vials, plus a 30 ml bottle decant on most perfumes. For the Parfum today, those are €6.90 for 2 ml, €12.90 for 5 ml, €21.90 for 8 ml and €65.90 for 30 ml. Decants are hand-poured from original full-size bottles with no dilution. A decant costs more per ml than a full bottle (the 2 ml works out at €3.45 per ml and the 30 ml at about €2.20 per ml), so the case for a 2 ml is the cost of trying: given how far the wear reports disagree, a few days on your own skin settles the longevity question for €6.90.
