Best Perfume Advent Calendars 2026: 8 Ranked by Contents

A perfume advent calendar is only as good as what is behind its doors. Some are 24 perfumes. Others are seven bottles, a candle and a pillow spray. Some show you every door before you buy, and some keep it secret until December. We compared the eight fragrance calendars that matter most to a buyer in Europe this year, read what each seller publishes about the contents, sizes, price and delivery, and ranked them on five things a perfume lover actually wants. Here is what you need to know:

• Best overall: Scento Advent Calendar, For Her and For Him (€149 each). 24 doors, every one a perfume, designer and niche houses together, the full line-up published, and an 8 ml finale of the perfume our customers buy most in each edition.
• Best under €100: PAFORY (€99, or €89 for the first 1,000). 24 × 2 ml from small niche houses, plus a magazine and full-bottle vouchers.
• Best for buying two: MyScent (€149 each when you buy two). 23 × 2 ml and a 5 ml, with the contents kept secret until each day.
• Best for full-size bottles: Harrods 12 Days of Fragrance (£225). Seven full sizes in 12 doors, but it sold out within hours.
• Best niche minis on the high street: John Lewis (£99). 12 niche minis of 5–15 ml; sold out when we checked.
• Best for high-street names: The Fragrance Shop (£150 each, women's and men's). Separate women's and men's boxes, led by big bottles of high-street names.
• Best for big bottles in a 25-day box: Lookfantastic (£150). A 35 ml Givenchy and two 30 ml bottles among designer minis.
• Best under £100 in the UK: Boots 12 Days of Scent (£90). A 35 ml Givenchy L'Interdit and nine 10 ml perfumes.

Price per ml counts wearable perfume only and divides the box price by it, in the seller's own currency. "About" means we added up the bottle sizes the seller or the cited review lists; we never estimate a size that isn't published.

How we ranked them

We ranked every calendar on five criteria, in this order of importance:

1. Every door is perfume. No candles, lotions, body mists or objects taking a door.
2. Designer and niche houses in the same box. The names people ask for, not only one house or one tier.
3. The full line-up is published before you buy, so you can check it against your shelf.
4. Separate For Her and For Him editions, so nobody opens a run of scents they would never wear.
5. A euro price and delivery in the EU before 1 December.

A calendar that meets more of the five ranks higher. Between calendars that meet the same number, we ranked by how much perfume sits behind each door. Price per ml is in every table so you can compare on it too, but we didn't rank on it: a big bottle of a perfume you would never choose is cheap per ml and still poor value.

How we checked. We read each seller's own page, or the review named in the Sources list where the seller's page doesn't itemise the contents, on 4 October 2026. Disclosure: Scento makes and sells the calendar ranked first. We applied the same five criteria to it as to every other calendar, and the table above shows exactly where each one stands.

1. Scento Advent Calendar 2026, For Her and For Him (Our Pick)

Our calendar is built on one rule: every door is a perfume you would want to wear. Each edition holds 24 authentic perfumes, decanted from original bottles we buy ourselves, into the same glass spray vials our customers already order. Doors 1 to 23 hold 2 ml each, our customers' most-bought size and about 30 sprays, or around ten days of wear. Door 24 holds an 8 ml glass travel spray, about 120 sprays, of the perfume Scento customers buy most in that edition: Amouage Guidance for her and Louis Vuitton Imagination for him. That is 54 ml of perfume per calendar and nothing else in the box.

The two editions are curated separately, from what Scento customers actually buy, and no perfume appears in both, so a couple who buy one each open 48 different perfumes between them. Each edition mixes the designer houses everybody knows with the niche houses that are hard to try before buying a full bottle. The full line-up is below; skip it if the calendar is a gift and you want to keep the surprise.

Best for: anyone who wants a different real perfume every morning of Advent, from houses they have heard of, and a bigger finale to end on. It is also the easy gift: pick the edition by who it's for, not by guessing one bottle.

2. PAFORY For Her and For Him

PAFORY, a German perfume subscription shop, has sold a decant calendar every year since at least 2024, and for 2026 it again comes in a For Her and a For Him edition. Each holds 24 niche perfumes of 2 ml, one per house, 48 ml in all, and the full list is on the product page before you buy. The houses are small and independent, such as Memo, Dusita, Bon Parfumeur, Goldfield & Banks and Imperial Parfums, rather than designer names. Alongside the vials come a 100-page magazine, 40 scent strips, a magnetic box, six €50 vouchers towards full bottles of calendar scents and a voucher for PAFORY's membership. It costs €99, or €89 for the first 1,000 buyers, and ships from 15 October.

Best for: a perfume lover who already owns the classics and wants to discover small niche houses for under €100.

3. MyScent

MyScent, a German decant shop, sells its third advent calendar in a For Her and a For Him edition: 23 doors of 2 ml and one of 5 ml, 51 ml in all, in a black box with gold foil. The shop describes the line-up as niche and designer perfumes, but keeps it secret: each door stays a surprise until its day. One calendar costs €249; buy two, in any mix of her and him, and each costs €149. Delivery is free and starts in mid — November.

Best for: buying two at once, one to keep and one to give, if you enjoy not knowing what comes next.

4. Harrods 12 Days of Fragrance

Harrods' fragrance calendar sells out almost as soon as it launches, as it did in 2025. The 2026 edition has 12 doors and about 305 ml of niche perfume, including seven full-size bottles, with no candles or body care listed. It cost £225 and went on sale through the Harrods app on 3 August and online on 4 August, and sold out within hours. It is a 12-day, unisex box, so it covers half of Advent and one shared line-up.

Best for: full-size bottles of niche perfume. It sold out in hours, so it suits buyers who plan for next year's August launch.

5. John Lewis Fragrance Advent Calendar

John Lewis launched its first fragrance-only calendar for 2026: 12 doors of niche minis between 5 and 15 ml, 103 ml in all, from houses such as Kilian, Frédéric Malle, BDK Parfums, Nishane (a 15 ml) and Acqua di Parma (a 12 ml). It cost £99, which John Lewis put against a value of £305. When we checked on 4 October, the John Lewis page said the calendar had sold out.

Best for: niche minis bigger than a sample, at a high-street price.

6. The Fragrance Shop Women's and Men's

The Fragrance Shop split its calendar into a Women's and a Men's edition for 2026, each with 25 doors, at £150, or £120 for members of its loyalty scheme. They hold about 438 ml in the women's box and 315 ml in the men's. The men's line-up is led by large bottles of high-street names, among them a 75 ml Jack & Jones, a 30 ml Superdry, a 30 ml Ted Baker and a 30 ml Saint Hilaire, with designer minis of 4 to 12.5 ml around them.

Best for: someone who wears big bottles of high-street brands.

7. Lookfantastic Fragrance Advent Calendar

Lookfantastic's second fragrance calendar has 24 to 25 items for £150, which Lookfantastic puts against a value of over £530. By the sizes listed in Beauty Detective's review it holds about 230 ml of perfume, carried by a 35 ml Givenchy and two 30 ml bottles, with the rest between 3.5 and 15 ml. A candle, a pillow spray and an atomiser take doors too. It launched on 1 September, sold out, and was later listed as back in stock.

Best for: a door every day of Advent with a few large designer bottles in the mix.

8. Boots 12 Days of Scent

Boots' first fragrance calendar has 12 doors and 15 items for £90. The perfume is a 35 ml Givenchy L'Interdit, nine 10 ml perfumes and three minis, about 137 ml, alongside a 50 ml body mist and a candle. Boots values it at £356.52 and, unusually, explains on the listing how it worked that figure out. It is sold online only, "while stocks last".

Best for: a UK buyer who wants a 12-day perfume calendar under £100.

Is a Perfume Advent Calendar Worth It?

It is worth it when you want to find perfumes, not just own more of them. A calendar of 24 different perfumes lets you wear each one on your own skin for several days before you spend on a full bottle, which no blotter in a shop can do. Count only the perfume, then divide: our calendar is €149 for 24 perfumes, €6.21 a perfume or €2.76 per ml, and every door holds a size you can actually wear rather than a one-spray sample. By Scento's own size guide, a 2 ml vial is about 30 sprays, or around ten days of wear, and the 8 ml finale is about 120 sprays, around a month.

If you want variety, houses you can't sample at a perfume counter, and an edition chosen for the person who will open it, a calendar where all 24 doors are perfume gives you more of what you're paying for.

Also Worth Knowing in 2026

• The most luxurious perfume calendar on record is Dior's 2025 La Malle des Rêves: 24 doors including six 100 ml bottles of its Collection Privée, in 120 numbered trunks, at £6,400.
• Notino has no fragrance-only calendar for 2026. Its 2025 calendar, "12 Days of Fragrant Joys", 12 designer minis, sold out.
• Beauty calendars with one or two perfumes are not in this ranking. We only compared calendars where perfume is the point.

Final Thoughts

The best perfume advent calendar is the one where every door is something the person will wear. On that test the Scento calendar comes first: 24 authentic perfumes, designer and niche together, chosen separately for her and for him, published in full, with an 8 ml finale and nothing else taking up a door.
