How do you decide how long a perfume lasts?
Each perfume has one longevity band, the one wearers report most often, from very weak (1–2 hours) to eternal (8+ hours). It is the same band shown on the perfume's own page.
What is the difference between longevity and projection?
Longevity is how many hours a scent stays on your skin. Projection is how far it reaches from you while you wear it, from intimate to enormous.
Does a long-lasting perfume always project strongly?
No. Some perfumes last 6 hours or more yet stay close to the skin, and others project widely for a shorter time. That is why the finder lets you choose both.
Will a perfume last the same number of hours on me?
Not exactly. Skin type, climate, the amount you apply and where you spray it all change the result, so the hours are a guide to typical wear.
Can I try a perfume before buying a full bottle?
Yes. Each perfume in the finder is available as a decant, which lets you test how long it lasts on your own skin first.
