11 min read

Key takeaways

The perfume in a similar style named most often alongside Lust in Paradise is Parfums de Marly Delina, with 93 of 214 Parfumo users finding the two similar, though other wearers disagree.

  • Delina, Delina La Rosée, Fleur Narcotique and BDK Parfums Impadia are each named by at least two independent sources (Parfumo, Fragrantica, PickMyClone, Vivir).
  • Ex Nihilo's EU store shows €280, which Vivir lists for 100 ml; a 2 ml decant at Scento is €11.90.
  • The 2026 Extrait has a different notes list from the 2019 eau de parfum, so sample both before choosing.

The ranking

Six perfumes in the order of this guide: the original and its Extrait first, then four perfumes in a similar style, ordered by how strongly the public evidence points to them (Parfumo and PickMyClone vote counts first, then the number of independent sources). How we chose these alternatives

Lust in Paradise is a peony, lychee and musk floral from Ex Nihilo, and its price is the reason people look for something close. Searching for a match mostly turns up clone sellers and databases. We went a different way and kept to three rules.

  • Each pick is named as similar by at least two independent public sources: Parfumo votes, Fragrantica member reviews or independent reviewers.
  • Each pick is an original perfume that Scento sells as a decant, so you can try it before committing to a full bottle.
  • Each pick shares at least part of the peony, lychee, rose and musk axis.

Nothing here is ranked by our own sales. Burberry Her is left out on purpose: the comparisons people make are to Burberry Her Eau de Toilette5,6, which is a different formula from the berry-led Burberry Her eau de parfum. Perfumes made specifically to copy Lust in Paradise are not here either, because Scento does not sell them. For the wider house, see our guide to the best Ex Nihilo perfumes.

Start with the original

Before comparing anything, it helps to know what you are comparing it to. There are two Lust in Paradise perfumes now, and wearers report that they smell different.

Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise

Fragrantica files it as a floral woody musk for women, launched in 2019 by Louise Turner1. Ex Nihilo describes “bright white Peony” mingling with pink pepper, a “floral waterfall” with notes of lychee, and a signature of cedarwood and musk that leaves “the feeling of skin heated by the sun”7. Ex Nihilo’s current notes list reads Pink Pepper, Rosyfolia and Petalia, Rose Absolute and Musk, White Cedarwood and Ambrofix7. Older lists on Fragrantica and Parfumo give pink pepper and peony, lychee, white cedar, musk and amber1,9.

On performance, reviewers differ, so treat these as opinions. Vivir reports “6–8 hours on skin”3, a Fragrantica member writes “6-7 hours on my skin for longevity”1, and Scentaweek found “heaps of throw whilst not being strong”10.

The price is the reason to sample first. Ex Nihilo’s EU store shows €280 and Vivir lists that price for the 100 ml2,3. Ex Nihilo’s US store shows $3857. A 2 ml decant at €11.90 works out at €5.95 per ml, against €2.80 per ml for the full bottle. Decants cost more per ml; their point is to avoid a €280 blind buy, at about 4% of the bottle price. Across Europe, 76% of Scento decants were bought as 2 ml between October 2025 and September 2026 (Scento Fragrance Index), so most people start there.

Lust in Paradise as a 2 ml decant (€11.90)

Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise Extrait

Parfumo describes the Extrait as a floral-fruity perfume released in 2026, for women and men, with above-average projection and longevity8. Its notes are blackcurrant, Rosyfolia, pink pepper and red ginger, then rose absolute, Petalia and jasmine sambac, over Akigalawood, Ambrofix, cedarwood and musk8.

A Fragrantica member who tried both says the Extrait “replaces the airy peony and lychee with blackcurrant, ginger, jasmine sambac, Akigalawood, Ambrofix, and much heavier musk. The result is deeper, denser, woodier, and far more musky”1. That is one wearer’s view, but the notes list points the same way. If you liked the airy original, sample the two side by side rather than assuming one stands in for the other.

One Parfumo statement places the Extrait in a rose and Akigalawood family, “a la Delina/Impadia/Guidance”, but with blackcurrant and ginger, “crowd-pleasing but familiar”13.

Four alternatives people compare it to

These four perfumes in a similar style are ordered by how strongly the public evidence points to them. Each one comes with the honest counterpoint, because none of them is an exact match.

Parfums de Marly Delina

Delina is the most-named comparison. On Parfumo, 93 of 214 users find it similar to Lust in Paradise4, and 17 of 38 say the same about the Extrait14. PickMyClone lists Delina at the top of what people say Lust in Paradise reminds them of, with 333 votes5. Vivir says Lust in Paradise is “often compared” with Delina and Fleur Narcotique but “carves its own identity with a softer, more transparent touch”3.

A Parfumo reviewer writes: “I love the OG Delina, and Lust in Paradise is so similar it is impossible for me to talk about this one without mentioning it. Think Delina, but not as in-your-face, it lacks the tartness from rhubarb and the sillage is not as strong”9.

It is also the most debated. A Fragrantica Club member says: “I don’t find it similar to Delina at all. It’s much fresher and only slightly sweet”15. A wearer quoted on PickMyClone says the opening may remind you of it, but “the dry down is a completely different story”5.

Delina’s notes are lychee, rhubarb, bergamot and nutmeg, then Turkish rose, peony and lily of the valley, over cashmeran, vanilla, white musk, cedarwood, frankincense and vetiver; it dates from 20174. In the Scento Fragrance Index it is the #5 most-bought feminine perfume across Europe (October 2025 to September 2026). Our Delina alternatives guide and the Parfums de Marly guide cover the house in more depth.

Delina as a 2 ml decant (€12.95)

Parfums de Marly Delina La Rosée

Several independent sources point here. Parfumo lists it under “Smells similar” on the Lust in Paradise page9, and PickMyClone counts 205 votes for it5. Scentaweek, after a seven-day wear test in August 2022, wrote: “Not too far removed is also Delina la Rosée, which is more aquatic and centred around rose”10. 10fragrances suggests it as a premium perfume in a similar style6, and a Fragrantica member writes: “If you like BDK Impadia and Delina la Rosee, this here’s your girl”1.

The dissent comes from another Fragrantica member, who finds the comparison “honestly a bit baffling”: “La Rosée is genuinely dewy, refreshing”1. So expect a cleaner, rosier and more watery perfume, not a twin.

The notes are litchi, pear and bergamot, then Turkish rose, peony and watery notes, over white musk, woody notes and Haitian vetiver; it dates from 20216. It is the #18 most-bought feminine perfume across Europe in the Scento Fragrance Index (October 2025 to September 2026).

Delina La Rosée as a 2 ml decant (€12.95)

Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique

This is the house’s own lychee and peony sibling. Parfumo shows 24 of 63 users finding it similar to Lust in Paradise, and the two share lychee, peony and musk in their listed notes11. Vivir also names it, alongside Delina3.

The notes are lychee, peach and bergamot, then orange blossom, jasmine and peony, over musk, woody notes and moss; the perfumer is Quentin Bisch11. Compared with Lust in Paradise it is brighter and more white-floral, and less musky. That makes it a good choice if the lychee and peony are what you love, and the cedarwood and skin-like musk matter less. See the Ex Nihilo house page for the rest of the range.

Fleur Narcotique as a 2 ml decant (€14.90)

BDK Parfums Impadia

Impadia is the loosest resemblance of the four, leaning toward the rose and woods side of the Extrait. Two Fragrantica members raise it on the Lust in Paradise page. One says “If you like BDK Impadia and Delina la Rosee, this here’s your girl”; the other calls Impadia the “bigger sister” and writes that both “have a heavy rose+sandalwood profile”, but that Lust in Paradise “is brighter and not as deep as Impadia”1. On the Extrait, the Parfumo statement above groups it with Delina and Guidance13, while a negative review there says it has “the same ‘quality’ as Impadia and genre”8.

Impadia dates from 2025, by Jordi Fernández. The notes are pear, bergamot and mandarin, then Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose and orange blossom, over Akigalawood, vanilla absolute and sandalwood12. Expect more depth and sweetness, and less of the airy lychee. At €10.90 for 2 ml it has the lowest decant price of the four.

Impadia as a 2 ml decant (€10.90)

How to sample Lust in Paradise and its alternatives

The cheapest way to learn what you actually like is to wear them in the same week. Start with a 2 ml of the original, then add one or two of the perfumes in a similar style that fit what you noticed. If the lychee and peony stood out, try Fleur Narcotique. If you wanted more rose and depth, try Delina or Impadia. If you wanted something dewier, try Delina La Rosée.

Spray each on a different arm, wait for the dry-down, and judge again the next morning. Voters disagree about every one of these comparisons, so your own skin is the deciding vote. Scento hand-pours decants from original full-size bottles bought through authorised retail channels, with no dilution, in 2 ml, 5 ml and 8 ml vials. Delivery is tracked and free over €75.

How we compiled this

We read the maker pages, Parfumo and Fragrantica entries and independent reviews on 22 October 2026, and kept only perfumes named as similar by at least two independent sources. Prices are Scento retail prices for one-time decants as checked on the same date. Shares and ranks come from the Scento Fragrance Index for Europe, October 2025 to September 2026.

Your questions, answered

What is the best Lust in Paradise dupe?
Among original perfumes, Parfums de Marly Delina is the one most often named alongside Lust in Paradise: Parfumo shows 93 of 214 users finding them similar, and PickMyClone lists it first. Voters split, though, and a Fragrantica Club member says it is not similar at all. Impadia has the lowest 2 ml price of the four perfumes in a similar style at €10.90.
What does Lust in Paradise smell like?
Ex Nihilo describes bright white peony mingling with pink pepper, a floral waterfall with notes of lychee, and a signature of cedarwood and musk. Fragrantica files it as a floral woody musk for women, launched in 2019 by Louise Turner. Ex Nihilo's current notes list reads Pink Pepper, Rosyfolia and Petalia, Rose Absolute and Musk, White Cedarwood and Ambrofix.
Is Lust in Paradise like Delina?
Partly. Parfumo shows 93 of 214 users finding the two similar, and a Parfumo reviewer writes "Think Delina, but not as in-your-face", noting it lacks the rhubarb tartness and has less sillage. Others disagree: a Fragrantica Club member says "I don't find it similar to Delina at all. It's much fresher and only slightly sweet."
What is the difference between Lust in Paradise and the Extrait?
The eau de parfum launched in 2019 and the Extrait in 2026, according to Fragrantica and Parfumo. The Extrait's notes include blackcurrant, red ginger and jasmine sambac. A Fragrantica member who tried both says it replaces the airy peony and lychee and is "deeper, denser, woodier, and far more musky". That is one wearer's opinion.
How long does Lust in Paradise last?
Reviewers differ. Vivir reports "6–8 hours on skin", and a Fragrantica member writes "6-7 hours on my skin for longevity". Scentaweek found "heaps of throw whilst not being strong". Because skin and weather change the result, wear a 2 ml decant for a full day before deciding on a full bottle.
How much does Lust in Paradise cost?
Ex Nihilo's EU store shows a price of €280, and Vivir lists €280 for the 100 ml bottle. The US page shows $385. A 2 ml decant at Scento costs €11.90, about 4% of the 100 ml price. Decants cost more per ml; their point is to avoid a €280 blind buy.
Is Burberry Her similar to Lust in Paradise?
Not the version Scento sells. PickMyClone and 10fragrances compare Lust in Paradise with Burberry Her Eau de Toilette, which is a different formula from the berry-led Burberry Her eau de parfum. That is why Burberry Her is not one of the four perfumes in a similar style in this guide.
