About Scento

Scento is Europe's largest perfume decant website. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Paris on Place Vendôme, with a second office in Berlin, Scento offers more than 1,000 original designer and niche perfumes from a roster of 200 houses as perfume decants: 2 ml, 5 ml and 8 ml vials plus a 30 ml bottle on most perfumes. Niche perfume samples and designer fragrance samples let people discover a scent before they commit to a full bottle. Every perfume is an original bought from authorised European retailers, and every bottle passes a 12-point intake check at Scento's ISO-certified facility before it is decanted.

Scento serves customers in 27 European markets and ships to 26 EU countries. In 2026, Scento's annual revenue is more than €30 million, online and offline sales combined. On Scento.com, monthly decant sales in September 2026 were 3.2 times those of January 2026. Scento says it sells more than 3 million perfume decants a year, about one every 10 seconds. In November 2025, Scento announced it would invest €25 million over three years in European perfume discovery.

The role

Scento's catalogue is its signature: more than 1,000 original designer and niche perfumes from a roster of 200 houses, every one sourced from authorised European retailers and poured into decants from an original full-size bottle. Choosing what belongs in it, and explaining why, takes real expertise.

As Lead Fragrance Curator you decide which houses and launches join the catalogue, and you set the standard for how Scento talks about fragrance. Based in Paris, you become Scento's fragrance voice with press, creators and the community. Success means a catalogue customers trust, content that teaches and inspires, and discovery sets and seasonal edits people love to open.

What you'll do

  • Curate Scento's catalogue of more than 1,000 designer and niche perfumes and decide which new houses and launches join it.
  • Track releases and trends across houses such as Creed, Parfums de Marly, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Xerjoff, Amouage, Initio, Nishane and Frederic Malle.
  • Write and approve olfactory content: notes, accords, perfume families, comparisons and buying guides.
  • Build discovery through curated sets, the perfume advent calendar selection, gift edits and seasonal edits.
  • Be Scento's fragrance voice with press, creators and the community in Paris.

What you'll bring

  • 6+ years in perfumery, fragrance retail, fragrance buying or fragrance journalism; perfumery training such as ISIPCA or the Grasse Institute of Perfumery is a strong plus.
  • Encyclopaedic knowledge of designer and niche perfume houses, and an excellent, trained nose.
  • Excellent writing in English and French.
  • Taste, curiosity and a good sense of what customers will love.

What we offer

  • Salary at the top of the market plus an annual performance bonus.
  • A generous monthly perfume allowance to explore the whole catalogue.
  • A base in Paris, in our headquarters on Place Vendôme.
  • A personal learning budget of €2,500 a year for courses, conferences and books.
  • 30 days of paid holiday a year, plus public holidays.
  • Team gatherings in Paris and Berlin.
  • Real ownership and fast decisions in a company that is scaling quickly across Europe.
