This smells like the original Mister Sam went to a darker, richer place. I get a boozy-ish plum opening, then leather and patchouli make it feel super polished. Not rough biker leather, more like a fancy leather chair in a private club. It projects nicely without choking people out, which I appreciate. Honestly this is one of those scents that makes you feel instantly dressed up. Pricey, yeah, but it actually smells luxury to me.
I love the texture of this more than the actual smell, if that makes sense. It’s creamy, soft, and the sandalwood is blended really nicely, not dry or scratchy at all. There’s something slightly odd hiding underneath too, maybe that “unknown” note, and it gives it a quirky little Penhaligon’s twist. That said, it’s not super memorable and I wanted a bit more drama for the price. Still very wearable, very classy, and I’d happily use a decant.
I really like this one, it has that polished Penhaligon's vibe but feels softer than I expected. The cream note is super smooth, almost like a fancy lotion, and the sandalwood keeps it from going too sweet or childish. There’s also this “unknown” fuzzy floral-ish thing in the background that makes it hard to pin down, in a good way. My only issue is it sits pretty close after a couple hours, so don’t expect a room-filler. Still, it smells elegant and expensive without trying too hard.
This is beautiful, but I’m not screaming over it. The rose is soft and polished, and the patchouli gives it that slightly earthy designer-niche thing. I get a fruity sweetness too, probably the blood orange/date mix, but it’s not candy-candy. It kinda reminds me of those luxe rose fragrances like Delina’s older, calmer cousin, less tart and more golden. Lasts well, maybe 6-8 hours, but projection is moderate. I’d wear it for dinner or cooler evenings, just not sure I’d pay full retail.
This smells classy as hell, but also kinda serious. Like I wouldn’t wear this to grab coffee in sweatpants. The leather and patchouli combo gives it a mature vibe, but the plum keeps it from being too dry or old-school. I love that balance. It’s not as mass-appealing as something like BR540 or Layton, but it has more personality imo. Projection is noticeable for the first few hours, then it settles closer. Minor flaw: sometimes the patchouli feels a bit sharp on my skin.

I really like Mister Sam Intense, but it’s def not an easy dumb reach. Two sprays is perfect. Very good, just not something I’d wear in hot weather.
The hazelnut in this is what makes it special for me. It’s not gourmand or sweet like dessert, just this smooth nutty warmth under the cedar that makes the whole thing feel polished. The musk is clean and soft, and the drydown is seriously addictive. I kept smelling my sleeve all day lol. If you like woody scents but want something a little different from the usual Bleu/Chanel type stuff, def try this. 5 stars easy.

Ambrosia del Deserto is def one of the nicer Gucci high-end scents imo. I was scared the candied date would go sticky syrup, but it’s actually smooth and kinda jammy with the rose. The blood orange keeps it from feeling too thick in the opening. It gives rich aunt on vacation, in a good way lol. Not super loud, but people near you will smell it. I wish the drydown had a little more drama, but overall it’s gorgeous and very wearable.

Cedro Virtuoso is one of those fragrances that just works. It’s fresh, woody, clean, and still interesting enough that I don’t get bored. The bergamot opening is bright but not sharp, and the sandalwood makes the drydown really smooth. I wore it to dinner and got asked what I had on, which doesn’t happen often with subtle scents. It feels unisex to me too, maybe slightly masculine but not aggressively so. Really beautiful stuff.
This is such a classy fresh woody scent. I get bergamot right away, then the cedar and a soft tonka warmth come in and make it feel cozy instead of just another citrus cologne. It kinda gives quiet luxury, like a white shirt, good shoes, no drama. Not beast mode, but it projects enough and lasts most of my workday. Honestly one of the best Acqua di Parmas I’ve tried. Super easy to love.
