Tbh this surprised me. I expected another generic designer guy fragrance, and yeah it kinda is, but the salt note makes it more interesting. It has this mineral freshness that mixes nicely with the palo santo, so it feels clean but not boring. I wore it to dinner and got one compliment, so there’s that. Longevity is good on my skin, around 6-8 hours, but projection calms down pretty fast after the first hour. I’d like it more if it had a stronger smoky wood vibe, but as it is, it’s still very wearable.

Gucci Guilty Intense is just easy. Spray it on and you smell fresh, clean, a little salty, and put together. The palo santo adds this soft woody thing that makes it feel more mature than some super loud club scents. I wouldn’t call it unique exactly, but it has enough personality to stand out a bit. Projection is moderate, which I actually like because it doesn’t choke people out. Minor complaint: the opening is better than the drydown, and the drydown gets a little plain. Still a very solid 4/5 for me.
This kinda smells like classic Black Opium got dressed up in a pink lip gloss. Sweet strawberry up top, then that familiar vanilla/coffee thing comes through. I love how flirty it feels without going full teenager. It’s not as deep or sexy as the original to me, more playful and bright. The patchouli is there but thankfully not heavy. I wish it projected a bit more because it turns soft after a few hours, but people close to me still noticed it.
Pink Glaze is honestly prettier than I expected. I was scared the strawberry would be cheap body spray territory, but it’s more like a sweet fruity gloss over the usual vanilla coffee Black Opium DNA. The mandarin gives it a tiny fresh sparkle in the opening too. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s fun and very wearable. I’d wear this on a casual date or brunch. Performance is good on clothes, weaker on skin for me. Still, I’d def reach for it.
I was expecting cute, but this is actually gorgeous. There’s something about the blackcurrant syrup mixed with neroli that feels juicy and fresh at the same time, not heavy or cloying. The orange blossom gives it that soft white floral Prada DNA, but the sweetness makes it more modern and fun. It smells expensive, like a pink dress and good lip gloss energy. I wouldn’t call it super unique in the niche sense, but for a designer release it’s done really well. Lasts most of the day on my skin and even longer on clothes.
Okay this one is dangerous because I keep overspraying it lol. The opening is all juicy blackcurrant syrup, like sweet dark berries, then it melts into orange blossom and neroli so it gets brighter and cleaner. It’s not super complex, but it smells SO good on skin. My boyfriend immediately noticed it and asked what I was wearing, so yeah, that says enough. Projection is strong for the first few hours, then it settles closer but still hangs around. Perfect date night scent when you want to smell pretty, sweet, and a little flirty.

The drydown is what sells Dorval for me. At first it’s bright and a little spicy, but after 30 minutes the vanilla and guaiac wood come out and it gets sooo good. Creamy, woody, slightly nutty, and just super addictive. I kept smelling my wrist like a weirdo lol. It has that cozy luxury vibe without feeling too mature or too sweet. Projection is moderate-strong and it lasts forever on clothes. Pricey, obviously, but tbh this one actually feels worth it.
Tbh I like this even more than the original Paradoxe. The orange blossom is creamy and pretty, but that blackcurrant syrup makes it pop in such a yummy way. If you enjoy stuff like Layton but want something a bit softer and sweeter, Dorval is totally worth trying. Performance is solid, around 7 hours on my skin.

Dorval surprised me. I was expecting another basic sweet amber thing, but this has way more character. The cardamom in the opening is sooo good, kinda spicy and fresh, then the guaiac wood gives it this smooth smoky warmth underneath. The vanilla is there but it doesn’t take over, which I appreciate. It feels unisex, rich, and super put together. I’d say it’s versatile enough for cooler days but fancy enough for special occasions. Lasted all day on my hoodie too.
