How to choose a Bvlgari perfume

• Concentration. Tygar comes as an eau de parfum and as an extrait. Bvlgari describes the extrait as “an exquisitely concentrated interpretation” of the original⁶.

Eau Parfumée: the tea colognes

Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert by Bvlgari

Bvlgari calls it its very first fragrance for men and women³. It debuted in 1992 in a 350 ml flacon, designed as a gift for the house’s top high-jewellery clients⁴. Today’s house wording is a combination of green tea notes with a luminous floral accord of neroli petals, and bergamot essence with crisp, young tea leaves⁴. In 2025 Bvlgari reworked the line from eau de cologne into eau de toilette with real tea extract, and Thé Vert now contains 94 percent natural-origin ingredients².

The New York Times described in 2008 how Ellena paired ionone and Hedione “to make tea, though not a particular kind of tea; it was, as Ellena is careful to explain, the concept of tea”⁷. It suits warm days and anyone who wants clean freshness rather than sweetness.

Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial by Bvlgari

Jacques Cavallier created it in 2017 as the olfactive signature of Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, first made exclusively for hotel guests⁸. In 2026 it joined the Eau Parfumée collection⁸, and Modern Luxury reported its global launch on 21 April 2026⁹. Sri Lanka black tea mingles with Italian citrus in what Bvlgari calls a Citrus Musk fragrance⁸. Amandine Pallez, Bvlgari’s Head of Perfume Creation & Heritage, called it “the freshest of the trio, the most Italian by its composition”, and the black tea is captured using supercritical CO₂ extraction⁹.

Choose it over Thé Vert if you prefer black tea and citrus to green tea and neroli.

Le Gemme: Bvlgari’s high perfumery

Bvlgari calls Le Gemme its “High Perfumery collection”, sold as a collection for women and men⁶. It began in 2016 with Le Gemme Men: six scents (Ambero, Garanat, Gyan, Malakeos, Onekh and Tygar) developed by perfumer Jacques Cavallier⁵. In 2016 Harrods carried three of the six, Garanat, Gyan and Onekh, at £215 each for 100 ml⁵.

Gyan, one of the six original 2016 names, and Azaran are also available at Scento at €9.95 per 2 ml, like Tygar, Orom, Kobraa, Falkar and Yasep.

Le Gemme Tygar by Bvlgari

Bvlgari’s 2016 launch text describes “an astonishingly contrasting and explosive Ambery Citrus accord crafted from radiant, cascading Grapefruit, deep Wood and Ambrox”⁵.

Le Gemme Tygar Extrait by Bvlgari

The concentrated version. At its heart, Bvlgari lists radiant grapefruit and rare ambergris accords forming a citrus-woody harmony, with warmth from Benzoin Siam and Peru Balsam absolutes⁶. Its olfactive family is “Citrus, Woody”, and it comes in 125 ml⁶.

Le Gemme Orom by Bvlgari

An intense woody and ambery fragrance crafted around vanilla bourbon absolute and oud assam essence, with notes of deep leather¹⁰. Bvlgari’s own page credits Master Perfumer Sophie Labbé¹⁰.

Le Gemme Kobraa by Bvlgari

Kobraa pairs the spiritual force of smoked black incense heart essence with the deep elegance of oud essence¹¹. Its family is ambery woody, priced at £355 in the UK for 125 ml¹¹.

Le Gemme Falkar by Bvlgari

A deep and opulent fragrance built on a woody black musk accord and oud essence. Bvlgari says it “is one of the deepest scents of all”¹². Its family is listed as woody, black, musk.

Yasep is crafted around a woody musks accord and incandescent sandalwood essence¹³. It is priced at $460.00 for 125 ml in the US¹³.

Le Gemme Sahare by Bvlgari

A floral ambery fragrance crafted around accords of Taif rose and ambergris¹⁴. “Sahare” means the dawn in Arabic, and the Taif rose blooms at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level¹⁴. In the US it costs $460.00 for 125 ml and $345.00 for 60 ml¹⁴. It is the one rose in the Le Gemme group.

Omnia Crystalline by Bvlgari

Alberto Morillas of Firmenich developed it, with top notes of bamboo and nashi (a Japanese pear), a lotus flower heart and balsa wood at the base¹⁵. WWD reported in June 2005 that it would launch at 95 Nordstrom doors in July¹⁵. Bvlgari describes a luminous eau de toilette inspired by the aquatic transparency of the lotus, with a white peony, nashi pear, bamboo and balsa wood softened by crystal musks¹⁶.

Allegra Baciami by Bvlgari

The Allegra collection launched in January 2021 with five fragrances and five magnifying essences made for layering¹⁷. Jacques Cavallier composed the eaux de parfum¹⁷; he said the idea “is not about mixing two perfumes, or layering, it is about emphasizing a note in a fragrance you love”¹⁸. Bvlgari calls Baciami a captivating floral, ambery fragrance with gardenia at its heart, embraced by a tempting vanilla¹⁹. The name means “kiss me”, and it arrived in January 2022²⁰.

Allegra Magnifying Vanilla by Bvlgari

Bvlgari calls it an ambery essence crafted by Jacques Cavallier from vanilla beans imported from Madagascar and dried in the sun²¹. The brand says the Magnifying Essences are “beautiful worn alone” and “harmonise with any of the collection’s Eaux de Parfum”²¹. It was part of the January 2021 launch¹⁷. For men: the Bvlgari Man elements

Alberto Morillas crafted each fragrance in the Bvlgari Man collection as a tribute to the elements of nature: the charisma of Fire, the life force of Wood and the transformative power of Rain²². All three picks cost €6.90 per 2 ml.

Bvlgari Man In Black by Bvlgari

Bvlgari lays bare “the magnetism of tuberose—a white flower traditionally used in female fragrances”²³. The pyramid runs from a vibrant spice accord and ambery rum, to tuberose absolute and a leather accord, to benzoin of Siam absolute and guaiac wood essence²³. Now Smell This reported the July 2014 launch as a scent inspired by the myth of Vulcan and a flanker to 2010’s Bvlgari Man²⁴. It is the warmest of the three: an evening and winter scent.

Bvlgari Man Wood Essence by Bvlgari

The eau de parfum opens with coriander essence, hearted by cypress essence and grounded in Virginia cedarwood²². It launched in July 2018, credited to Alberto Morillas²⁵. WWD reported that the bottle is made from 90 percent recycled glass²⁶.

Bvlgari Man Glacial Essence by Bvlgari

Bvlgari lists a woody fougère: juniper berry essence and ginger SFE on top, iris and sandalwood essence at the heart, and Alaska cedarwood essence with a white musks accord at the base²⁷. Fragrantica dated the launch to summer 2020²⁸. It is the freshest of the Bvlgari Man trio and the one for summer.

Bvlgari was founded in the heart of Rome in 1884 and offers everything “from fine jewels and high-end watches to accessories and perfumes”¹.
