Tbh this is one of the more interesting Montales I’ve smelled lately. The saffron gives it that slightly leathery expensive vibe, but the passionfruit keeps it bright and playful. It doesn’t go sugary or cheap at all, which I was worried about. The musk in the drydown is clean but still warm, and it clings to skin forever. I can still smell it after 8+ hours. It’s bold, but not annoying. Easy 5/5 for me.
I love this one way more than I expected. The saffron and cardamom hit first, but then this juicy passionfruit comes in and makes it feel super addictive instead of just another spicy amber scent. It’s warm, a little sweet, and kinda sexy without trying too hard. Classic Montale performance too, lasts all day on my hoodie and projects really well for the first few hours. If you like bold perfumes that don’t smell like everything at Sephora, def try this.
This is a 5 star for me because it actually surprises me. The plum is green and tangy, not jammy, and the pink pepper makes the opening pop. After that it gets soft, musky, and sweet in the best way. I can smell the vanilla sugar for hours, but it never turns sticky. It feels bold enough for nights out but I’d still wear it during the day with one spray. Very Montale in performance, loud at first and then settles into a beautiful cloud.
Tbh I was nervous because Montale oud can be a LOT, but this is balanced so well. The Cambodian oud is there, but it’s smooth and slightly woody, not barnyard or medicinal. The plum stays bright and tart, and the coconut adds this creamy touch that makes the whole thing feel expensive. It’s sweet, but not childish. I wore it out once and got two compliments, which basically never happens to me. Total beast mode, so don’t overspray.
This is such a good date night scent. Be My Plum smells sweet and playful at first, mostly green plum and vanilla sugar, but the drydown gets warmer and more grown up. The cashmere musk makes it soft and cozy without turning powdery. It kinda gives me the same “people will ask what you’re wearing” vibe as Delina, but darker and less floral. Projection is strong for the first few hours and it stays on clothes forever. Honestly obsessed.
Wow, this one surprised me. I expected something loud and animalic, but it’s actually super wearable. The iris is creamy and elegant, and the leather feels soft, almost suede-like. There’s some patchouli in the background giving it depth, but it doesn’t take over. It lasts forever on me, like I can still smell it the next morning on my scarf. I wouldn’t call it safe blind buy territory because it has personality, but if you’re into refined leather scents, this is exceptional.
Dallachaï feels different from the usual nuclear sweet Montale stuff, and I mean that as a compliment. It still performs like a beast, but the scent is smoother and more balanced. The passionfruit gives it this bright weird twist, then the cardamom and musk pull it back into soft spicy territory. I kept smelling my sleeve all day. It’s not a safe blind buy if you hate spices, but if you like warm saffron scents, this is seriously worth trying.
This is gorgeous. I was scared the clove would be too loud because clove can go full dentist office on me, but here it’s smooth and spicy in the best way. I get saffron, amber, and this soft musky drydown that feels expensive. It kinda reminds me of a spiced version of those sweet amber Montales, but less basic and more interesting. This smells like some expensive saffron chai drink with a tropical twist. Not literally gourmand, but it gives me that cozy-spiced feeling from the clove and cardamom, then the amber makes it smooth and glowy. What I love is that it’s not heavy in a messy way. It feels polished, kinda mysterious, and very Montale. I wore it out to dinner and got asked what I had on twice, so yeah, compliment getter for sure.
Be My Plum is gorgeous. I get a creamy fruity opening, like plum with a little coconut in the background, then it melts into vanilla sugar and musk. It’s not tropical though, more cozy and sensual. What I love is that it feels different from the usual fruity perfumes that just smell like shampoo or candy. This has depth but still feels super wearable. On me it lasts around 9 hours and leaves a really pretty trail. Highly recommend if you like sweet scents with a twist.

It’s strong, so don’t overspray unless you want to announce yourself from the elevator.

If you’re scared of oud, this might be the one to try. The Cambodian oud gives Be My Plum depth, but the plum keeps it juicy and wearable. It’s not heavy in that smoky dark way, more like a glossy fruity-woody cloud. I wouldn’t call it fresh exactly, but it has this sharp green sparkle that stops it from being too sweet. Kinda gives me niche boutique vibes, not something everyone at the mall is wearing. Projection is strong for the first few hours, then settles nicely. Big yes from me.
